Korax at this time was sleeping within his own quarters exhausted from his training with Abel that lasted throughout the night. He was barely even within his bed, where he just fell upon it. Abel though was still awake examining the area around them. As Merodi begins to escape the main gate Abel was just alittle bit from her, where he only had to walk around a few corners within his Garden before he came out before her.
His voice still as harsh finally spoke to her. “Are you planning on leaving?” His eyes seem slow today in finding hers, but still held their normal look of their glow.

Merodi gasped, covering her mouth before she screamed. She didn't want to be loud. That was the last thing she wanted. In her surprise though she fumbled backward, falling over onto her behind. She whimpered, wincing at the pain as she removed her hands from her mouth. "I-I was just..."
The deer paused, seeing no point in saying otherwise as she said, looking down shamefully. "Yes..." she said, bringing herself off from the ground. She sighed, not able to look him in the eyes.

Abel turns and walks past her. “If you want to leave you are free to do so. But where do you plan on going, if you have nowhere to head you will only find yourself in the same condition you was in when you arrived here.” Even though he asked a question he did not wait for a response knowing by the look of her she had nowhere to go.
He stops by a few some growing herbs within the garden turning back to her. “If you go least leave prepared, I would hate to have to go searching for you, because you was not.” He said nothing else, even though he was slightly happy with her stay there because his only company for many years have only been Korax, which the two never have been good at communicating with one another as is.

Merodi frowned, biting her lip. She didn't say anything. He had found her out and she couldn't find an excuse. But he was right, she was just being irresponsible. She hadn't thought it through at all. Would she have become more of a burden if she had left? She didn't want to have him look for her and take care of her all over again.
"But..." she paused, glancing up at him and finding she couldn't keep his gaze. "I have no way to thank you." That was the worst feeling, having him give so much and she couldn't return anything.

Abel shakes his head before turning towards her. “I find no treasure in much of anything, but I did not save you for an reward. Helping you is its own reward.” He slowly begins stepping towards her, and even his own words made little sense being said by a vampire. He stops before her and before she could step away out of fear from him, his hand almost appear onto her shoulder. “If you are only leaving for that reason, then you shouldn’t be leaving, or if you wish to stay.”
His hand slowly retracts before turning and walking away from her. He did not seem to be leaving but more just for the sake of walking.

Merodi continued to frown. The things he said didn't make her feel better. Just because she couldn't accept his words so easily. Just couldn't be true. Noone does anything without thinking of what they could recieve. That's how it always is. How could just doing something so nice be an award? She had yet to meet someone like that.
Merodi blinked, ready to pull away as he touched her. She stared at him, anxious on what he was going to do. And so relieved when he didn't do anything. Contact made her so uncomfortable for so many reasons. She watched him turn away and slowly began to follow. "I heard you singing yesterday..."

He kept walking until she spoke those words that made him freeze in his tracks. “Not that pleasant to listen to is it…” He turns back towards her but does not look at her. His eyes close as he took in a deep breath. His hands slowly clasp as a fist as he thought back on the day that his voice was stolen from him.
His hand opens as he brought towards his face. His eyes lightly opens staring at his hand that was now bleeding from his claws. It was almost amazingly as how the wound had already begin healing. His eyes then turns looking into her eyes.

"It was." Merodi replied, hoping that he wasn't too mad she had listened in. The song had been pleasent to listen to, once she got over the creepy voice. And that she didn't understand the language. But besides that it was enjoyable. And she hoped that he could believe her.
"I'll cherish that song, and sing it in your memory." That was the only thing Merodi could do in her circumstance. The only thing her talen allowed her to do. A normal person couldn't memorize that song. If he truly was kind, if he truly had no selfish desire in her being here. Then she will forever have that song for one of the rare people that had helped her.

He turns looking at her as one of his brows raised. “You make it sound as if I am dying.” He smiles as he steps away from her before turning her back. “I must leave for a bit I must go out a feed….or If I stay longer, It will be you I would have to feed from. Korax will protect you as long as you stay here, so don’t worry.” He slowly begins walking again heading towards the door.

Merodi frowned, staring at him. She had tried to say something nice but she guessed it didn't work. She continued to listen to him, her eyes widening as she looked at him fearfully. He wouldn't...would he? He would feed off her!? No! She stood very still, watching him anxiously until he was far off. As soon as he was gone she ran back to the garden. She did not want to become his meal. No way.
Merodi sighed, sitting herself in the middle of the garden, staring at the plants around her as she hummed the song from before. To think, she only need to hear it once to have it memorized in her mind forever.
