Motoko eyed the demoness's sword warily. If she wasn't careful, her own wooden blade would end up cut in two. And then she would really have no other way to fight. Archery? Fists? Who was she kidding, her only skill was sword fighting. And even that was sketchy at times, when she was going against a very powerful opponent.
For the first time in years she felt a twinge of nervousness go through her, along with something that, if she didn't know better, was fear. She felt afraid... it was a hard concept to grasp. The only people she had ever felt really afraid of were her sister and father. She was glad for her own ability to hide her emotions, otherwise she would also be feeling extreme embarrassment.
Shaking her head she pushed her fear to the back of her mind. She would be fine. She had gone through that special training with Kye, and after he disappeared, even more with Seta. She didn't know how much she had improved, but she would not fear that her powers would not be enough now. "Swords, I think," she responded lightly, also taking a stance.

"Will your wooden blade be enough?" Kye asked.
He was currently mentally scanning the surrounding forest for any, unwanted demonic activity. He'd prefer that this session not be interrupted by some impatient, starved-for-flesh demon, who couldn't understand the concept of getting in line. The purple glow his eyes were giving off were the only indication that his powers were in 'active mode'.
He'd asked Motoko that question because he was certain he'd seen her use Ki techniques in her fighting style, and wasn't certain if her wooden kantana could stand up to the stress such a fight was sure to bring.
"If you wish it, I could transform your sword into the Hina Blade. Minus the evil aura, of course."
Kel cast a glance at Motoko. Guardian Angels were pretty adept at reading feelings and emotions, and he was fairly certain that Motoko was possible afraid or, at the least, nervous about going into this battle. He was also sure that was the main reason Kye made his offer, and was only surprised that Kye hadn't offered to turn into a sword for her.
"I don't know, Brother. Wooden Sword, Fatigued Demon. Seems pretty even to me." Kel remarked.

" Luna removed her sword, but instead of using the sharp side, she used the oppisite, making it partly even for them both. Luna's smirk turned into a chilling smile as she closed her eyes. Gathering her powers together, the air seemed to get...humid as she did this, her eyes re-opened as she nodded. " Lets see how you do on offense first, I want to get a good feel on your fighting style Priestess.." She glanced at Kel as he said that and gave a soft glare, " I'll remember that kitten." She chuckled and held her weapon in defensive as she awaited the woman in front of her.[/ul]

The swordswoman shot Kel a grateful look and a small smile, shaking her head. "No, that won't be necessary, Kye," she said, her voice already full of more confidence. However, she grew angry when she noticed the demoness switch her blade's side. "Do not try and lower your sword to the standards of mine. That won't be necessary, either. Keep it as it normally is."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to clear her thoughts. She could not afford to get distracted in this fight. Although... thoughts kept popping into her mind: worries, agitations, old advice or taunts given to her... Her sister's voice telling her she would never be good enough filled her senses. Motoko's ki crackled around her as her anger skyrocketed.
Tsuruko... Her eyes snapped open. She would prove once and for all that she was better, more powerful than her sister, through a fight with the demoness. She eyed her opponent carefully, knowing that if she chose the wrong first move the fight would be over in a matter of seconds. Taking another deep breath she rushed forward at her top speed, her sword angled just so, deciding that it would be pointless to show her more powerful ki attacks at the very start.
[[ooc: Sorry if that's not much to go on... I wanted Motoko's anger to show with such an abrupt, and probably foolhardy attack. xD]]

(No problems, here. My posts are fixing to be increasingly boring, as my carries go into spectator mode. xDD)
The battle was starting.
Kye noticed that Luna was letting Motoko lead. He didn't blame her. It was one of his favorite battles styles as well, as it let one see how fast their foe was and what they were capable of. Though, there was also the chance you'd wind up on the defense pretty quickly and for quite a while.
Both Kye and Kel stared at Motoko. They hadn't said as much, but both were interested and a bit eager to see how she'd grown. They hadn't seen her fight for quite some time, and both remembered how she'd turn down the offer to be a Guardian Angel, like them. They'd probably never admit it, but they really wanted to know how she ranked.
Kel quirked an eyebrow. "Kitty? I suppose I can be called that. I'm definitely no pussy though."

" Luna would not kill the Priestess, she still had a couple of questions to ask her, and for another thing, she didn't want Kye to get angry about this silly little 'play fight'. Now it was Luna's turn to strike, her eyes scanned quickly as she used her grace to twirl, her blade coming up diagonally to strike the mid-section of the priestess, knowing she'd block it.[/ul]

Motoko knew full well that although rage was a useless, and often dangerous emotion in battle, that if she were still in her right mind she could turn her rage into power. Rage could make a person almost invincible, were it great enough, and although her rage was nowhere near that level, she thought it just might be enough to give her a hand.
After all... rage could make a person's movements much more unpredictable, a useful advantage in a fight. Instead of answering her opponent Motoko simply jumped away, preparing for the next attack. When it did she jumped out of the way again, easily, without using unnecessary effort. This battle was beginning simply, then.
In one fluid movement, almost the same second she dodged the blow she swung her sword in a wide arc. "Secret Arts: Air Splitting Sword!" she cried, letting loose a rather large blast of air toward the demoness. Although not a very harmful attack, it was almost impossible to see since it used the air itself to send an enemy flying. Perhaps not the best attack she could have used, but it would do.

" She watched as the night covered the feild, and smiled lightly, her hand lifted as she let it glow an eerie white, soon enough she smiled, and it bursted in white. It was a temporary blind thing but it wouldn't last long. She took the chance to go in a burst of speed and come up behind her, placing the tip of her sword on her mid back as she tilted her head and giggled. " I have a few tricks of my own~" {OOC: Had to make it dark, sorry XD}

Motoko grit her teeth, thinking quickly. This was an unfamiliar type of battle... the only opponents she had really faced in the past were human, although she had fought against the occasional spirit. But even those had been human at one point, and their speed didn't even remotely rival that of this demon. She was in trouble, and she knew it. She had good vision, but she hadn't even been able to see her opponent move. Could she really win a fight like that?
The answer was obvious. None of her techniques would work on an opponent that she couldn't see. As much as she hated to admit it, she had really met her match. Two fights in a row now, she had been completely powerless to win. The first against that blasted spirit that had brought her here. And now... Luna...
With a small sigh she closed her eyes and lowered her sword. "Sometimes it is the smartest move to choose when to give up," she said softly, her voice somewhat disappointed. She knew what her sister would say to her now. But then... she couldn't exactly help it. Continuing the fight would be futile. "Your skills are very impressive indeed."

Kye had mixed emotions about the fight. On one hand, no one had gotten physically hurt too badly. On the other, the battle had been far too short for any real information to have been gathered on the warriors skills.
Kye felt both that Motoko ended the fight too soon; that she may not have fault using even half og her true abilities, and that she ended it smartly; having realized that she was up against someone of formidable skill and power. He wished he could have seen more, but...
He supposed it was now his turn. Though, just as he stepped forward to challenge Luna, a hand formed of dark energy appeared in front of him, blocking his path. Kye raised an eyebrow, looking over at Kel, in confusion.
"Hold on, Brother," Kel said, his shimmering eyes the only sign his powers were active. "Let me take this one."
He stepped up next to Motoko, smirking at Luna in challenge. "That is....if the Lady has enough stamina left for a little.....exercise."

more fight." She switched her blade around and stepped into defensive position, her breathing slow and calming as she smiled even more. In a few quick steps she was already in front of Kel, blade slashing upward as she snickered lightly and made sure to watch herself. She had no idea how strong Kel was, being a guardian and all, plus his dark energy was stronger than anything she had experienced before. With hat thought in mind she backed away, her blade held to defend any attacks he might hold against her as she watched him carefully.[/ul]

It wasn't as though Motoko was really sad that she had all but forfeited the fight. No, for she knew she could have continued on, using all of her skills to try and win. It was more that she was disappointed that the first time she had seen Kye in such a good deal of time, it would be to then lose in front of him. It was a disgrace. She had turned down his offer to become a guardian, although for many reasons, in part because she believed herself to be strong enough as she was. Or in the very least believed that she could become just as strong, without having to change what she was.
Stepping back a few yards the girl watched with bated interest as Kel and the demon prepared to fight. Now this would be an interesting fight. Kel was strong, almost scary strong, but Motoko felt that if she used it right, the demonesses speed would be to her advantage just enough so she might have a chance of getting the upper hand. For a moment, at least. "Interesting," she said under her breath. "Very interesting."

Ignoring his sight for the moment, Kel used his intuition and innate Guardian abilities to sense the attack coming. At the same time her sword might have struck him, he teleported. A second later he appeared, back on the battlefield, a good distance away from the others. It was clear he didn't want Motoko and Kye to be caught in any crossfire.
Which meant it was clear he wouldn't hold much back.
Kye looked away from the fight, and over at Motoko, when she'd spoken. "Interesting?" He repeated. "May I ask which part? Having seen Mistress Luna fight just now, and having seen Kel fight in the past/future, I wouldn't be surprised if they were both just warming up."
Kel raised an eyebrow at Luna, as if questioning why she was way over there. Though, he'd yet to summon a visible weapon.
