"No..." Merodi answered without thinking and after her eyes blinked a few times she was back in reality. She glanced up at him, almost surprised he was there. "Oh, um, I mean yes; yes, I'm alright." she fixed her first answer, smiling nervously. Why did the past have to haunt her so? She couldn't give in to it now. She couldn't break down and tell this stranger everything. She wouldn't, of course not.

Merodi stared up at him, wishing that there was someone who could help her with her problems. But there was noone that could. And she wouldn't burden someone like that. All deer's burdens were their own, and that was how it has been.

Ash stood up and tightened up his tunic, and fully tied it closed with his sash. He picked up his only sword he brought with him from his own camp site and set it on his sash on his left side. He rolled his shoulders slightly, getting ready to head back.

Wanna come back to my camp site instead of staying here? I could give you a ride if you cant keep up with me. I never seen a deer run before, but as a hunter, I would probably be faster. So, wanna come?</sub>
