The sky above was dotted with stars, and an inky black in color. Still a few hours before dawn, Arisu thought lazily as she splashed some water from a stream on her face. With a sigh she rocked back on her heels, her head lowered so that her chin rested on her chest. She was growing tired. Not that that was really a surprise, considering how long she had been traveling without a rest.
All the same, the weakness made her feel foolish. She shouldn't have traveled until she got to this point. She should have known better, and stopped earlier on in the day to take a break before pressing on. She may still be considered young in yourouzoku years, but she was old enough to know better than to walk until she got tired. At least, she thought she had known better. Obviously she had been mistaken.
At least now she was finally in the Eastern lands, so she didn't have to keep traveling any longer. She could wait a few days, get used to the area, before moving around to continue her search. And just maybe this time she would be successful and would actually find some of her kin. It was doubtful, but still possible. Besides, even if she found some ookami, she doubted that they would remember her pack.
Her pack's leader Onpachi had left the Eastern lands almost four hundred years back now, and although youkai lived for eons, it was stretching it a bit to think that they would still remember. And then there was always the possibility that Naraku had struck here too, and that there were no more yourouzoku in the East either. Kami, she hoped that wasn't true. It couldn't be, could it? The yourouzoku were too powerful to be completely eliminated.
Su had thought that about her own pack as well, and look what had happened to them. Shaking her head the young female leaned forward again to splash more water on her face. "Iie," she murmured softly to herself in refute. There was no point in continuing to think about the past. What was done was done, and there was no way to change that. There was no way to bring back her parents, brother, or her oji-san. They were long gone now, and it was time for her to move on. Only she knew that was easier said than done. Lost in thought the yourouzoku stayed knelt down, her fingertips brushing against the surface of the water, completely oblivious to her surroundings.
{{So... pretty much anything can happy now. Lol since she's not paying any attention at all... probably easiest to have someone sneak up on her. x33}}
