Name: Nazoshiki Moriana
Race: Half Kitsune-Half human
Profession: Wandering Astrological Exorcist/ Onmyodo Sorcerer
Powers/Abilities:
He possesses control over the elements, though most of his stronger spells are pre-prepared on parchment or anything he can inscribe the appropriate symbol or symbols on. He also knows a small bit of the sealing techniques that his master used, but only a portion as he never learned them all. He did inherit his mother’s Kitsune powers of illusion, though he rarely uses them and will only do so if he feels that he really needs to. A small amount of his spells summon companions if he needs any assistance, such as a wolf or a small spider.
The scrolls that he may use are attributed to the planets, if he requires one to make the sealing. He has to prepare them before hand as well, adding blood to the scroll to empower i once the symbol is there. Also, he carries with him iron spikes that he has empowered to suppress evil, sometimes to aid in a sealing.
Spells
Weapon name: Shikage, also called the shadow of death in the stories attributed to it.
Appearance: A fan with retractable blades, it is as black as night with black but blood red tipped blades hidden inside. The color of the tips of these blades is due to Nazo having tipped them in the poison that nearly killed him and gave him the few scars that he has.
Power: It can function as a normal fan and as a weapon, the blades retracting back into the fan when it is not being used as a weapon. Rather than making it a poison weapon, as Nazo intended, the poison reacted with whatever metal was used in its creation, giving it a heat property when coming into contact with other metals, such as steel or iron. The tips will heat up until they glow red for a short time, adding to their killing power. He carries a small strip of steel just for this purpose. The other power this weapon possesses is the ability to make the wielder invisible in shadow or darkness, thus the other name it is called.
Limitations: It's first power, the heated blades, only lasts up to 10 minutes, after which they cool down once more. The second ability is a constant. However, it does not conceal the sound of his footsteps, and to the trained eye he can be spotted if he is walking through water or some other substance that may show sings of disturbance. Also, the invisibility is dispelled by light, it will only function under the cover of shadow or darkness (ideally night), whether it is a dark area or a mere shade.
History: There are many stories attributed to this weapon. Before Nazo "inherited" it the weapon passed through many hands, some were skilled assassins, while others were mere thieves taking advantage of it's power. It is unknown how Nazo's teacher came to be it's possessor. When Nazo took it as he left the capital that night his master had died. Now it has a new power as well, and many stories are yet to be told.
Weapon name: Korihi
Appearance:Nazo made it himself. He inscribed it with every astrological symbol that he had been taught at the time, and still adds to them from time to time. It was cut from a dark red wooded tree, making the inscriptions stand out as underneath the reddish color the wood inside turns black when exposed to the air, making the staff red with black astrological symbols inscribed, continually being added to.
Power: The staff has no such history. He was given a choice of two elemental powers that were to be embedded within the staff, strengthening it and empowering it with the elements themselves. He chose fire and ice, giving the staff the power to be alight with flames that do not burn the wielder or freeze what it touches.
Limitations: The elemental powers of the staff can not be utilized at the same time, either he uses the ice power or the fire power. Secondly, he must maintain focus upon the staff, so any other spells are out of the question.
History: Unlike his other weapon there isn't really much that can be said of Nazo's staff. Though, like other weapons of its kind, legends will spring forth. Just as they always say: History is still being written.
