She was running within the trees of the forest, heading to her destination; the house of a very rich, very protected human lord. Keira was on another one of her easier jobs... one that only involved humans. Underneath the soft moonlight, she raced past and knocked out the outside guards. Still confident, she used her amazing speed to get inside the manor before the second round of guards saw her through the open doors. Keira flashed a quick, evil smirk and headed down the quiet and lavish halls.
A right turn here, a left turn there, she soon became impatient, wondering where the hell the lord's room was. Keira soon got her wish as she came upon a very large pair of doors. Feeling victorious, she slide the doors open and shut silently and turned to her target's bed. 'Sleeping soundly, eh? Well, this is one sleep he will not wake up from.' Keira said to herself. She moved gracefully and serenely to the target's side. Without a sound, she unsheathed her body length katana and ran it through the man's vocal chords to prevent screaming. Then, she continued with the kill.
After cleaning her katana's blade of the blood, Keira rushed out of the manor quicker than when she entered. As she was heading away from the village, feeling light, almost, she stopped short. She immediately withdrew her katana once again and stood in a offensive position, waiting for her intruder to confront her.

Dammit! I should have been paying better attention. The strong scent of blood reeked from the largest room of the mansion. And the kitsune's eyes were watering because of it. Aro was more of a peaceful creature, she hated fighting, and she hoped that going place to place acting as a guard for humans would have been an easy, stress free, perfectly normal thing to do.
But no. Her latest charge had to go and get himself killed. Now how would she pay her bills.
Grumbling, the small kitsune jumped from her dead charge's room, landing softly on the manicured grass without a sound. Then sniffing the air she took off after the scent of the assassin. Maybe if I bring her back, I'll get paid half... Maybe full...
Debating on what delicious foods she would buy from the market in the morning, Aro sprinted after the woman. Allowing her senses to guide her, instead of her feet. A moment later she shook her head, breaking the fantasy and focusing her eyes. Only to find the dark trunk of a tree in her path. Squeaking in surprise she jumped at the last moment, clawing at the bark of the tree with her nails and landing unsteadily on a branch. Catching her breath she shook her head again and flitted around the trunk of the tree. Dropping from a second branch and finding herself face to back with the woman she had been chasing. Blinking, Aro stared at the woman's back before raising a finger and tapping her lightly on the shoulder. " You know. It's not nice to attack men while they sleep. Give 'em a chance to fight back at least." She crossed her arms, letting her nose raise to the sky. " Besides, you killed my only source of income. That wasn't very nice." [/blockquote]

((OOC: Sorry for not posting quickly.))
Keira almost immediately returned to a normal position and relaxed. She chuckled darkly and answered the woman while turning around. All the while, she was wondering why this woman was chasing her, why she even cared about that man except for the paycheck. Keira thought back to when she murdered her family, how no one seemed to care, even the guards that got paid by her father. She was suprised at how careless people were, human, demon, and half-breed alike.
"I'm an assassin. It's what I'm trained to do and supposed to do. I don't give a rat's ass if he was your source of income, he's my source now... and also my 1,988th job." She said coldly.
Keira had no emotion whatsoever in her eyes except absolute darkness. She was standing there waiting to see if this woman wanted anything else. Keira was trying to be patient, but it always ran thin fast. She was very well known for her quick temper, that... and her cruelty. She wasn't happy when people interrupted her when she was starting a job, in the middle of it, or even when she was getting away. Keira always encountered people like this girl infront of her; they said it was rude to kill so-and-so and murder of a lord or lady was cause for execution. Almost everytime, Keira would end up alive, and the person whom confronted her, was dead. Even with that in mind, a lot of people got away from her after the job was done.

Pfft. Of all the women in the world and I had to run into this pompous one. Aro sighed, not really caring much one way or another how this little meeting turned out. But she wasn't leaving here empty handed. Oh no. She was either getting her money from this chick, or getting it from the men she was supposed to protect.
Though, granted, Aro was as threatening as a Spring rain. She wasn't much for fighting, wasn't much for violence and blood, far too messy in her honest opinion. And she all around didn't give a damn what others thought of her. So maybe that was why she decided to lash out at the assassin.
Or maybe, just maybe, she was extremely grumpy, half asleep and only able to bring about coherent thoughts of dumplings. "Look lady, " Aro shifted her weight to her left side, sticking out her hip and allowing her arms to cross, "I don't care how many people you killed, or how many you say you've killed but I'm not about to let you get away without some sort of compensation in my hand. It can be blood, or it can be money." She held up her hand and rubbed the tips of her fingers together as though to make a point. "I'm not one for fighting. And all I can think of at the moment are those yummy dumplings I'm going to get tomorrow at the market. With the money I'm owed. Now. Which is it?"
Aro had a feeling she knew what the assassin would choose. And in all rights she had every chance to fight for her life, but the young kitsune wasn't in the mood to lick blood from her hands.

((OOC: done.))
Keira scoffed, not budging an inch at the Fox demon's request for money. She only turned her sword over in her hands making sure it had no dull edges from going through bones. She smirked wickedly and changed back into a fighting position, but a lazy one at that. Though she looked like an ameatur, Keira's defense and offense was quite strong.
She slowly looked around at her surroundings and made sure she wasn't boxed in. Keira could sense something wrong with this scenery, but she just focused on the situation.

OOC: you don't mind i'm joining, do you? looks like a fight thread anyways, so another youkai wouldn't hurt.
IC: Mimikuchi Miroke arrived at the human castle shortly after the murder. He had known that death would happen here for a few hours now, he was just unsure where or how it would happen. He disappeared with a shunpoe into the castle, quickly finding the lord's chamber via the soul, which was not acting very accomadating for being killed in its sleep. "Sir," Miroke said, drawing his zanpaku-to. "You have to be still or i might kill you by accident." The ghost appeared to not have heard him. Of course, it was human and humans tended not to listen much to him while he tried to perform a konso. Miroke tapped the hilt of his blade on the man's forehead and the man disappeared in a flash. Only a black butterfly floated where he had stood, and it soon vanished upward.
Miroke shunpoed back outside to check on the guards. None were dead, just knocked out. The replacement guards didn't bother him because they couldn't see him. Miroke, sensing two sources of youki, rushed off towards the two girls with a final shunpoe. He appeared next to them, but slightly to the side, with his sword sheathed. He didn't know if they were youkai or hanyou, he could never tell the different just by the youki, but hanyou wouldn't be able to see or hear him, so that would leave him with waiting for the conflict to settle itself and he would finish his job. On the other hand, youkai could see him plain as day and this might become a fight. One girl wielded a dai-katana, he could see, but the other had no weapons. Her hands, on the other hand(ha ha), had claws. She was either an inu, a kitsune, or a youzuoroku(wolf). Miroke, once again, could not tell the difference just from the youki.
Miroke stood still, about ten yards away but still in plain view, and waited to see if a fight was going to happen. A fight usually meant death, and death meant more work for him.

"I take it you're choosing to fight, over just giving me some money." Aro sighed softly. She was far, far, faaar to tired and annoyed to deal with this situation right now. Why do I always get the brave-hearts. Wanting to go down in flames and glory. Instead of handing over some yen. She moved silently, quickly getting into a defensive stance, her hands flexing as she clicked her claws clicked together. Ick. Blood. That stuff gets everywhere.]
"Well, alright, Miss Assassin. Show what you got-" Out of the corner of her eyes, Aro caught the slight movement of a body. The whisper of fabric and the soft clinking of metal giving away the intruders position without alerting even a single blade of grass. Growling softly, the fox youkai turned her attention to the newcomer. Reinforcements? Or just a passerby with nothing else to do? Sniffing the air she cringed. "Ick. Death." She once again returned her attention to her original target.
"You got reinforcements? That hardly seems fair."

Keira didn't show emotion as she shook her head. She didn't know who the hell was out there. 'Great, I get to handle two people at once. FA-BU-LOUS.
"OI! Get your ass out here before I drag it out on a stick!" She yelled, yet no emotion showed on her face.
Keira was getting impatient and growled in frustration. She put her hand in her sleeve and tapped her fingers against her side to stop her impatience.

Miroke, who stood in plain sight despite the fight already happening, drew his zanpaku-to from its sheath and held it to the side, pointed down. Both girls had spotted him, not that he was hiding, and he needed to be prepared to defend himself at a moment's notice. "Seeing as how you're both full blooded youkai, which one of you killed all those humans?" He kept a sharp eye on both girls. One of them was obviously very skilled in attacking quickly without being caught, that he could tell from the previous scene. A dark-red hawk appeared on his shoulder, slightly larger than a hawk should've been.
It spoke boldly in a voice that didn't seem to come from anywhere. "Miroke, the surrounding area is clear of any humans and youkai. Feel free to release me, if needed" The bird of prey eyed both girls just as Miroke did. It sensed a lot of tension in the air and felt the youki filling the area.
