Kohaku moved through the village. The debris and rubel unsettling to him. It made him remember his days here. Whenever he would pass a certain house or part of the village he would see a flashback. He remembered a lot now in days. It hurt him but he wanted to remember. His sister.......
The thought brought Kohaku to the past. Kohaku could almost feel the tears in his eyes. His memories were perfect. At least when it came to Sango. Kohaku ran through the village. He finally reached his house. Or what was left of it. He quietly stepped up the steps. They creaked.
Kohaku didn't fear them braking underneath him. Nothing could kill him unless Naraku pulled out the shard in his back. It was his only escape. Kohaku placed his hand on the entrance rubbing it for a second. His memories flashed again. This time acctually causing the tears to form.
Kohaku looked up at the sky. There were dark clouds forming. Kohaku really didn't care. He didn't mind the rain slowly he brought his head back to look down to the ground. One of his tears fell at the same time the first rain drop came.....

Zasalamel walked slowly as his cloak covered him from the rain. The smell of fresh rain was rampant, as well as the smell of fresh grass. The sky was a dreary gray as he walked through the desolate village. He raised his head and looked at the surroundings with an impassive facade. The wrecks of homes littered the village, and the smell of age had begun to settle in.
It amused Zasalamel slightly that the first village he would visit was a ghost town. One that had looked to be this way for quite a while. However, this wasn't really interesting after the first ten times he saw this during his very long life. As he walked along, he saw a boy who stood still in the rain, with his head bowed down. He walked to the boy and touched his shoulder and asked:
"And what would a lad like you be doing in the rain in such a place?"

Kohaku didn't jump or even flinch when he felt the pressure on his shoulder. He turned his head to look at the stranger. Kohaku was glad it was raining. At least it covered up his tears. He didn't want anyone to really find him like this. It wasn't because he didn't like crying it was just if Naraku found out.........
Kohaku didn't answer the guy. He most likely would thing he was deaf before he answered. He wasn't obliged to answer and really didn't want to blow his cover by doing so. Naraku and his "Offspring" tended to show up quiet often. Kohaku would just be saying something then perhaps on of Naraku's demon bugs would show up and reveal the info to Naraku.
Kohaku faced the guy. He still didn't answer but at least he was making eye contact. He was ignologing that the guy was there. That was enough right? Kohaku would be nice. He looked at the guy and said. "I really don't know." It was the truth and if one of Naraku's helpers showed up it would be as if he still didn't have his memories.

Zasalamel frowned as his own blue eye and gold eye bore into him with a cold intensity as he looked at the boy's aura. As he did, his eyes widened a fraction as he saw that the boy was one of the undead... but with his soul. He listened to the boy's response half-heartedly as he continued to observe the aura.
He had a thin aura that was being fed by something on his back. The thing had a lot of power if it kept him alive for even this amount of time with his soul. But he had to ask though, his curiosity would not be sated... and the rain was making him relax.
After a few more seconds, he bluntly asked the boy: "How long have you been dead?"

Kohaku looked at the guy.... Who was he? He wasn't a normal person, that was for sure. No one could tell unless you had the power to do so. Kohaku stared blankly at the man. He honestly didn't know what to reply. Though the first thing that entered Kohaku's mind was to run...
Kohaku jumped from the steps to the ground. He pulled his weapon from his back. "How do you know .........that I died?" Kohaku asked. It was an obvious question. It was sort of stupid too but Kohaku didn't care. If he was an enemy Kohaku would strike. Kohaku wasn't about to answer the guys question not by a long shot.

Zasalamel watched the boy jump back from him and ready his weapon. Does he really think he could hope to beat him when his own mind is divided? His mouth slowly curled into an amused smirk as he crossed his arms and looked at the boy with a raised eyebrow as his eyes glowed within the cloak, making him look very sinister. Then he walked slowly for a bit, savoring the rain. He inhaled deeply and savored the smell.
Then he decided to take off his hood as a gesture of peace. He could not afford to fight right now... well actually he could, but not before satisfying his curiosity. That was almost always more important in his list of priorities. When he took it off, he felt the rain hit his head gently, unguarded by even the slightest bit of hair. The tattoo near his eye looked as if it had moved as his eyes turned to stare at the boy in the strange outfit. His dark skin was made all the more darker in the weather, marking him as a foreigner to this land.
Zasalamel then kept his smirk as he continued to watch the boy's aura, which was now laden with tension. "You have the aura of the undead, of course."

Kohaku took another step back as the man smirked. That was almost never a good sign. He didn't understand what this guys deal was. Kohaku gave him a look when he crossed his arms and pushed off his cloack. Kohaku thought nothing of the man's appearence and honestly if you were to look deap inside Kohaku he didn't care.
Kohaku lowered his weapon and returned it to its place on his back. He kept his eyes on the man. Though in his heart he wished the man would attack him and end up taking the shard from his back. Kohaku had come to dispise that shard it was what had caused so much pain already. It linking the bond between Kohaku and Naraku. Kohaku wanted nothing to do with it anymore. He hated the fact that he had to hurt the people he loved because of it.
Kohaku looked at the man. "I am infact dead. I still should be honestly. And there are times that I regretable wish that I was dead. My soul is bound to this world without my wishes. What you have come here for I honestly don't know. But what you intened to do is what has captured my interest. How can you see my aura, as you call it." Kohaku said. The only other person that had ever figured it out had been Kagome. But that was because she was a priestist. [/size]
