Curious about everything, that's what she was. She held her sister's hand like a child, looking around eagerly. Her skirt trembled slightly in the little breeze, and she grinned brightly underneath her witch's hat. Her jacket was loose on her shoulders as she spun around, waving a stick in the air like a magic wand. She giggled hysterically, letting go of her sister, and then raced ahead of her, her large, light purpeish blue eyes curious as she dove into a bush. She had seen a snake, she was sure of it! She rummaged around, but found nothing. She jumped out of the bush, and she pulled a twig out of her long blonde hair before squeazing her eyes shut, letting a light silver glow take over her body. She was trying to shift into a snake herself, but she ended up as a mouse. Beady yellow eyes glared at her from the bushes. She shrieked in her chipmunk voice, and began running circles around her sister's feet as the garder snake chased her. "Sissy! Help!" She cried, and jumped on Maho's foot, swatting at the snake's head as it sat up to nip at her. She jumped down and started glowing silver again, this time turning into a snake, even though she had wanted to become a cat. She looked around, adjusting to heat vision. She saw the other snake, and hissed. She had turned into a cornsnake, which was bigger then a garder, and she lunged at it like a cobra. It slithered away, and she purposely stuck her tongue out at it. "Ssssssservessssss you right...." She said, her S's coming out as long hisses. She slithered in front of her sister again, and managed to turn into her proper human form again, although she ended up in a sitting position. "Yay! Me all safe again. Oooh, what's that?" She said cutely, looking at a five edged leaf. She picked it, bringing it close to her face, and she turned it around in her hands. They began to feel itchy, and she dropped to leaf the scratch the skin that was beginning to redden and boil. She screeched, and ran back to her sister. "Sissy! The plant bit me!" She sounded much more like a three year old then a fourteen year old, but what could you do.

Maho watched intently as her younger sister became curious about everything. It was a quality she didn't posess, and she enjoyed to see her sister have so much fun and adventure with such simple things. She was about to interfere with the whole snake business, had her sister not transformed when she had. Something inside made her happy that she didn't have to assist Majo with it though, it meant that her darling baby sister was becoming more independant. She couldn't help but wonder if that was the same bitter sweet feeling that came to mothers as they watched their children ween from their theoretical wings.
She smiled gently at her sister as she spoke, glad to see that she had gotten back to her regular form safely. Magic was always something to be cautious with, especially when you were learning, that was a theory her sister didn't understand quite yet. Something made her think that it would be a lesson never driven into the fourteen year old's head.
Maho's eyes grew dark with concern as she realized the plant that her sister held in her small, child-like hands, and had stupidly rubbed against her face.
"Majo... stop..." she tried to express concern, but it had been too late. The girl was already itchy. It would not be long before the girl would have red spots appearing all over her skin from the plant. She let out a concerned sigh. "Majo, my beautiful younger sister, please sit down." her voice was soft and sweet, but it held a comanding presence meaning to be followed. She sat down on the ground and motioned next to her, for her sister to listen to her command. She pulled out a few herbs from a bag, and some water, and had quickly fixed up a potion to help the poor girl's skin. She smiled a soft, comforting smile at her sister. "This might sting a little bit, when I apply it, Majo, but it will make the itching stop soon, it will be better in the long run rather than having to be itchy for a week or so." she didn't want to hurt her sister, but it was the only way at this point.
Her soft, gentle hands rubbed the cream over Majo's arm and face. Maho winced a little, feeling the pain of her sister, probabally more than her sister herself. She blew on the cream lightly, to cool the burning itching sensation of the ivy. Soon the ordeal was over. Majo would no doubt be running off and exploring like before in mere moments. "Be more careful next time, alright?" she said to her sister, with another gentle smile.

In the distance, loud clanging noises could be heard as Eisai slashed his sword, Hebiga, at a large steel-bodied snake. "I bet father had an easier time with you than I'm having now..." he said, slashing the snake across it's stomach, making a sharp noise similar to nails on a chalk board.
Eisai stopped immediately, covering his ears slightly. I really hope no one was around to hear that... he thought, looking around quickly, spotting a small garder snake head towards him. "Good... I thought you were a person." he said, kneeling down to pick up the snake, who looked up to him. "Did something happen?" he asked, which was later followed by a short nod. "Scared away by someone who could transform? Heh heh, it was probably just a shape-shifting demon. You're lucky you weren't eaten." he said, laughing lightly.

Her sister was true to her word as it began to sting a little, and Majo pouted slightly. Once she realized the pain was gone, she was up and about again, crawling around in bushes. She poked her head up, her hat falling over her eyes, and she blinked, her nose directed upwards so she could peek underneath it. She looked around, and then heard the terrible sound she hated a lot; nails on chalkboard but not quite the same. She cringed, ducking into the bushes again, until the sound quit ringing in her ears. Then she had poked her head back up again, the hat's rim out of her eyes. Suddenly the wind picked up, lazily tossing the hat off her head and carrying it somewhere. She chased after it, diving in and out of bushes. She knew she wasn't within her sister's sight anymore, but she wasn't worried. Her sister could take care of herself. She doveat it when it landed on the branch of a tree, and it came down, taking the tiny branch with it. It fell onto her head, and she rubbed the spot it hit. "Owwies." She then overheard a man. She peered through the leaves of the bushes again, and then jumped out as he said shape shifting demon instead of witch. "I'm not a shape changer! I'm a witch! That little snake tried ta eat me! He was being meeeaaan!" She argued, putting her witch hat back on and crossing her arms childishly. "Snakes aren't s'posed to eat witches! Not polite!" She cooed, ending with a huff.

Maho watched as her sister once again played, and she, herself, packed up her stuff. She stilled, hearing a hideous sound, one so horrible, she had to cover her ears. She turned her head to sheild away the sound. When she looked up again, to where Majo was, she simply saw her sister chasing after her hat. She let out a sigh, and ran after her. She knew her sister was going to get in trouble, it was just a question of how soon.
The girl could chase after that hat allright. Maho was surprised. Even with her speed, she was still a bit away from her sister, when she had finally stopped. She looked at the snake demon, her cheeks flushed from running. She took a step forward in the direction of her sister, ready to defend her if she needed to. "Majo..." she cooed gently, trying to get her baby sister to come closer to her, rather than the stranger.
She watched Eisai with her eyes, not taking her watch off of him for a moment. She didn't even stall to look at his giant snake, it wasn't the snake she was worried about, it was it's charmer. She stepped closer to the stranger, protectively comming in front of her sister. She waited for him to speak before saying anything to him, and simply looked at him expectantly.

"Ah... a witch? Is that so?" Eisai asked, smiling as he held the snake in his hands. "Ha ha... I guess you're right." he said, laughing slightly at the girls attitude. "That means you should apologize to this girl, okay?" he said, holding the snake eye level as he spoke to it. He then held the snake out between himself and Majo, glancing quickly to Maho and smiling.
"He said he's sorry for trying to eat you. How about that? Was that okay?" he asked, after kneeling down, eye-level with Majo.

Majo glanced at her sister and then at the snake demon and his snakes. "Ok. He's a good snakey now." She replied, and then ran back into the bushes to climb a tree. Fireballs appeared in her hands and she swung her legs as she juggled, three, four, five, until there were seven in the air at once. She giggled, and then she let out an 'oof' as she dropped one. With that, the dry bushed beneath burst into flames. She made the fireballs poof, and then made water come from her hands and douse the fire, and following that she made the bushes back to normal with her earth element control. She had her elemental powers down to a science, but her shapeshifting and telekinesis were all very undiscovered and untamed. She whistled a tune and then stood up on the branch, and jumped up to grab the smooth bark of the branch above. She started swinging, making the area around suitable enough so she could swing around on the branch. It looked like she had a setup of the two bars that gymnastic people used. She swung around, deft as a monkey, then dropped booth bars and fell down into the bushes in a heap. She let out a meep and got up and ran straight back to her sister, squealing and shrieking. "Sissy! There's a huge spider in there! It tried to get me!" She yelled, hiding on the side of Maho opposite the bushes. She was kind of exaggerating, because the spider was only about as big as her pinkie fingernail, legs included, and it was a daddy longleg. They were harmless unless you had skin they could bite through, then it would be bad since they were really poisonous. But a witch's skin was just as thick as a human's, so all was good.

Maho sent a gentle, Mona-Lisa-esque smile at Eisai. He didn't seem bad. Of course she didn't completely trust him, but she didn't think he was completely evil either. Her body became less tense as she watched her sister run off, as she was left with the snake demon. She glanced nervously at him, not knowing what to say to him.
Her eyes then turned back, and watched her sister in a motherly way. She naturally was concerned with Majo's fire-juggling, but she rather her sister be doing such a thing that she knew so well, such as playing with the elements, than something equally as dangerous that she wasn't skilled at. She was ready to step in, if she needed to, but was going to give Majo a chance to correct her own mistakes. After all, if she didn't Majo would never be able to be on her own. She had to start growing up, and away from her sometime. The bittersweet feeling from before came back to her.
When her sister came running to her, she felt somewhat releived. After all, as much as she wanted Majo to be independent, she was selfish, and wanted more time to be the hero in her sister's eyes. She glanced back at Eisai again, smiling gently.
"Is that so?" she started off, "Well I'll have a conversation with this spider then... no one's going to get my little sister and get away with it... except me..." she mentioned with a laugh, tickling her sisters side's gently before walking over to the bush, picking up the daddy long legs. She smiled down at it, knowing he was harmless to her, and Majo.
"Is this him?" she asked holding him up, and walked back to her sister and Eisai. "He's harmless, see?" she asked, allowing the spider to crawl up her arm. She smiled again at her sister, and laughed a little, "He couldn't hurt you if he wanted to, anyways... Isn't that right... um?" she asked Eisai, hoping that he would support her on the situation.

As Majo ran off Eisai turned and let the snake go before standing back up. He then sheathed Hebiga on his back, hearing Majo come back, talking about a spider. He let out a short laugh at her actions, taking a few steps closer to the two as Majo picked the daddy long legs. "Kuchinawa Eisai." he said smiling. "And your sister is right about that. Besides, the spider's probably more scared of you than you are of it." he said, looking to Majo.

Majo giggled feverishly when she was tickled; she was very ticklish. But when Maho brought out the spider, she squealed and ran around to hide behind Eisai. She shuddered as it crawled up her sister's shoulder, and then stuck her tongue out sheepishly. She walked over to her sister and stared at the spider with a long glare. "Can I change him into a mouse? I like mice better." She mumbled, shuddering at the hideous little arachnid. Everything about spiders creeped her out; all their eyes, their eight legs, their sometimes hairy bodies, and the fact they drank other insects' blood. Then, it almost seemed like a lightbulb appeared over her head. She closed her eyes and chanted something, and it involved 'toad' and 'figuration' and something else that sounded like 'transformation', and lastly 'sparrow', and she opened her eyes, which had turned amber. She daintily placed a finger on one of the the spider's legs, and it began to glow, then the glow began to swirl. It soon began looking much like a sparkler, and then it made a little explosion of stars. In the place of the spider sat a little sparrow, twittering away, it's tawny feathers glistening. "See? I turned him into a bird! I was going to change him into a toad, but then I remembered some big bird eat toads so I made him a sparrow." The bird twittered, and then hopped onto Majo's finger, which she had put near him. It chirped, and Majo beamed. "He said thank you for not squishing him and for making him pretty." She finished, and the bird hopped up her arm and onto her shoulder, unsure on how to fly. Majo looked at him, and whispered something. He squeakily replied, and then opened his wings nervously. He jumped into the air, flapping madly, then beginning to glide. He flew a couple laps around the clearing, Majo chasing him and laughing, her arms spread wide as she pretended to fly too, since she didn't exactly want to try to shift at the moment. [/color]

Maho was looking nervously at her sister when she had started enchanting things. She didn't want to be turned into either of the two things she had spoken of, and the fact that it was possible, since she was so near the spider made her very anxious. When the spider changed into a beautiful sparrow, she let out a sigh of releif. She sent a smile at her sister, and the once spider. Nodding at what it said. She watched as the sparrow flew and her sister ran underneath it pretending to.
She turned gently to Eisai, a smile perched on her lips. "Well Kuchinawa Eisai, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Maho." she said with a gentle bow. She looked back at the giant snake, "Would you mind terribly telling me what you were doing?" she questioned him. She wasn't meaning on being nosy, but was simply trying to make conversation, if he didn't want to tell her that was fine as well, she didn't really mind.

Eisai watched Majo, laughing slightly when she hid behind him. "That's rather impressive." he said, more to himself, as he watched the spider transform.
"Ah, it's nice to meet you as well, Maho." he said, smiling. "Well... I was training... but I guess using something metal to hit isn't a very good idea, is it?" he said, laughing. "And, what about you two?" he asked, waving to the snake as it slowly slithered to Eisai.
