for centuries, the wizarding world and the muggle world have lived separate lives, always within grasping distance of each other, but never once brushing against each other. there have been times when it has come close, such as when the wizarding world’s hitlers, voldemort and grindelwald, were in power, but they were brought down and the worlds were eventually plunged back into harmony, the muggle World never knowing of the wizarding world’s existence.
or so it seemed.
the year is 2008 at hogwarts school for witchcraft and wizardry. familiar faces are returning yet again for the new school year, and some new ones too. the younger and modernized faces have already said goodbye to their lives with technology – iPods, computers, and such – while their more traditional parents are breathing sighs of relief. things have changed since harry potter’s age; young witches and wizards now love most muggle technologies and things like that. many now sport muggle fashions, and most students have given up on the weird sisters for sensations like britney spears, paramore, and chris brown. it seems that in this age, the two worlds are morphed together.
the only thing is, the muggles are missing out on it. sure, while some muggle children find themselves in possession of magic abilities, the rest are left out of the secret of magic. left out of magical cures that the witches and wizards have found, left out of making everyday things take no time at all, left out of all the secrets the wizarding world has…and this has upset a few wizards. these wizards have argued with the ministry of magic to attempt to end the secrecy law and allow the muggles to learn that magic does indeed exist. however, the ministry stomped down on this plan before the appeal even started, forcing the organization to find a new way to tell the muggle world. of course, the ministry thought, why would they even try to do it when they knew that the ministry was watching them and had already turned down the idea?
the fact of the matter was, the wizards didn’t care.
already the adults of the wizarding world can tell that things are changing. while most of the students at hogwarts remain blissfully ignorant of this, they are starting to clue in too. the muggles are figuring out that the wizarding world does exist, that magic does exist, and as the ministry both feared and expected, the muggles are becoming greedy and envious of the powers. worse, the wizards responsible for this seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
while the spells that keep hogwarts secret from unwanted eyes remain intact, the school’s headmaster, remus scar, fears that it won’t be long until the muggles come across the school. while he doesn’t know what will happen for sure, he and the staff of hogwarts remain on alert. the students meanwhile are pleased by the new rules that allow technology to be used when classes aren’t going on, but other than that, not much has changed. what goes behind the familiar faces isn’t any different than what went on last year, as students cause trouble, drama, and just about everything in between. the students at school of scar may be able to keep their secrets, but it might be the secret of the wizarding world that’s not kept quite so secret.

We're Looking For Some Creative People!
[/center]Tired of the same Harry Potter sites with the same plot lines? Yeah we were too. At Scar we like to focus on other aspects, other possibilities.
We use Harry Potter as a backdrop more than the main focus. Our main plot can be found here.
We allow children of the book characters so long as they're not the cannons from book 7. We do have canons, but they're not from the book.
