Detailed personality description: Despite being only eight, Asuma is very mature for his age. He is able to understand how to use his powers quickly and with little guidance, even though he doesn't know how he can use them. His greatest wishes are to make his father proud of him and to protect his mother from the bad demons that want her dead. He can also be a crybaby, getting scared easily if he doesn't understand something -- usually his own power.

Detailed Personal History:
Asuma was born eight years ago to the priestess Yuna and the demon Naraku. Soon after his birth his father was killed by his own minions, forcing his mother to take care of him all on her own. However, she was not completely alone with this. She had the help of the Asuma from the future that had someone still remained in the past. The child Asuma grew up thinking that his future self was actually his uncle Hikitsu.
No one is quite sure why he is a full demon, since his mother is technically, human. However, Yuna speculates that because of the curse placed upon her by a demon, she was basically made a demon as well.
Yuna never mentioned his father to Asuma, and whenever he asked her or 'Hikitsu' about him, his mother would start crying, or his uncle would yell at him. He desperately wanted to know what happened that made them act this way.
When he was a baby Yuna bound his powers so that he wouldn't accidentally kill himself or others. She had planned on starting his training in spiritual powers when he was six but her powers started to not work properly, so she was unable to train him at all. So now Asuma still hopes to one day meet his father, or at least find out what happened to him, and to also know why all the other demon children make fun of him for not being able to use his powers.
