Detailed personality description:
Ian is a type of person that will be serious and funny and a drop of a dime. He likes to help people even though he is Naraku's student and bodyguard. Not afraid of the consequences he knows what is good and what is Evil and he knows Naraku is evil but stays by his side none the less. His Serious side comes out due to the fact that his willingness to protect those in need. But will only do this if he is on his own and it doesn't conflict with Naraku's plans.
Ian is comfortable enough to slaughtering the adults in a family but not the children and will help them find a home. Knowing they will grow up with hate in there heart but it doesn't get to him seeing as he was under orders from Naraku and helped the kids he holds no guilt in his heart. Seeing he would never slaughter people if he wasn't under orders.

History
Detailed Personal History:
Ian lived in a poor village and was a very sick child, he was slow moving so the other kids in the village didn't pay him any attention. His mother provided the best she could having to go to other village and be gone for days and maybe weeks stealing from other people to bring them home and help Ian. One day his mother came back home and made him a feast Ian was happy and didn't like it at the same time seeing as she head a price on her head, after the feast Ian walked outside and watched the kids play coughing he covered his mouth moving it away he noticed blood as his eyes started to water. Suddenly a shadow came over him as a man stood kneeling down to him putting his hand on his shoulder.
The man Told Ian that he is going to die but he can help him all he had to do is hand his life over to that man. Ian hesitated and agreed to the deal. The man said his name was Naraku and vanished as if a dream Ian suddenly woke up in his head to hear plates smash on the ground. Getting up he ran over to the kitchen to see people attacking his mother, running to save her after one man punched her to the ground he suddenly felt a drilling pain in the back of his neck. Falling to the ground he still kept sliding to his mother as she said something to him not being able to hear it through the laughter Ian passed out. Waking up hours later to his mother's dead body next to him he cried and ran out of the house crying only to run into Naraku putting his hand on his shoulder again Naraku knew what Ian wanted and snapped his fingers as the other house busted into flames along with the people inside.
From that day on Naraku Took Ian under his wing giving him a power he devolved inserting it into the back of Ian's neck becoming what was called "Witchblade" Ian traveled the world training his powers and harnessing his powers becoming stronger. Finishing his training he returned to Naraku to do more training and be his right hand man.
