A sudden burst of wind courses through the cliffs of Ryukotsusei’s Gorge. The sudden gust sent many particles of dirt and perhaps very small rocks into the air. It seemed like a particularly weathering day, at least it was for someone who was simply visiting and passing through. The winds have somewhat died down, but walking was still the better option. Urufu didn’t feel like getting smashed against the rocky mountains. Her cloak held fast to keep the cold winds from piercing her skin. Her steel blue eyes quickly take into account of the treacherous and ground shattering earth beneath her feet. Sure she could catch herself, but there was always the thought of falling to one’s death that was less then unpleasant.
The gorge path was slightly narrower then what normal humans would want, but for the demoness, it was… adequate. It was wide enough to allow normal walking but with some precautionary steps. Her nose had led her through this gorge to perhaps make it to a small village before the day after tomorrow. It would’ve taken longer had she taken the path around the gorge. But she may have bargained for more then what she wanted.
Two passing monks were speaking with another about how their wallets had somehow disappeared. And that they felt immense demonic activity. Which could mean that simple demons were about… or there were thieving demons about. But it wasn’t as if she could pay any heed to such things. She did have bigger things to worry over then some small demons.
She was coming towards a very steep cliff and perhaps where such a dragon had been held prisoner. But like all things, she just wanted to get passed this very unsettling gorge to civilization. Her ears perked in her cloak as the wind roared from the gorge once more only to calm down. Was this draft frequent? She could only hope she can get passed these rather unpredictable cliffs before she was blown off by force.

"You just put one foot in front of the oooootherrrrr! And soon you'll be walking out the dooo-"
The muted sound of a smack bounced off the enveloping trees and was followed quickly by a soft growl. "There are other ways, besides smacking, to tell someone to be quiet. TOBI!" A male yourouzoku snarled out at his counter part. He was tall, seemingly strong, quite good looking, with dark purple highlights [natural of course] running through a wealth of brown hair. His dark eyes stared back at his younger, orange haired sister, and squinted in disapproval.
In response the female simply rolled her eyes and retrieved a piece of hard candy from her pocket.
"Mm mm! Rice candy is wonderfully delicious." She smiled secretly to herself, before popping the treat between her lips and then looked up at her brother. "And where the hell is the fun in that? What good is it to have hands if I can't slap you, Ta-ku-mi?" She enunciated every syllable, sucking audibly on the sweetness between her teeth with every free breath.
Tobi was a foot shorter then her oldest brother, but her overly large bosom, fiery orange hair, and impossibly bright green eyes made it almost impossible not to notice her. Not to mention she had quiet a temper, especially when there was candy involved.
"Eh, we only got a few bucks from those guys. They weren't even worth stealing from." A third wolf demon jumped from a branch above the first. Even without his spiked black hair, this new brother was taller then Tobi - and enjoyed pointing that out when ever her could -. However, he was the youngest of the siblings, and teased more then warranted for it. "But, whatever. We need to get moving if we want to get somewhere homey tonight."
"Eh, Nika, throw the purses here. I'll hold onto them before the big wolf gets greedy." The forth member of the group glanced towards Takumi, holding back a small smile that urged to reach her lips. Takumi switched his attention from his orange haired sister over to his pink haired one.
"And what the hell does that mean?" He growled softly, knowing that PoPo [the pink haired wolf] was only joking with him. "Oy." Tobi once again smacked her brother. "No one cares. Let's go. I don't wanna get stuck in this gorge over night."
"Scared Tobi?" Nika stuck out his tongue. His dark brown eyes dancing with mischief. The orange haired yourouzoku growled softly in response but refused to get ruffled over her brothers words. "Of course not, Nika. That's the baby's job. 'Mem-ber?" She winked and started to walk out of the grove of trees, followed closely by her petite sister PoPo, who grabbed the purses out of the younger yourouzoku's hands and patted him on the head.
Takumi sighed, obviously defeated by the female part of the group and followed after both of them. Grabbing an annoyed Nika on his way out. After a few moments of silence the fifth and final figure of the troupe dropped down from a leaf-filled tree. His pale features and golden eyes not enough to draw the eyes away from his white hair and the furry ears that perked on the side of his head.
Jun was the loner of their group. Sticking to shadows and high places as best he could, always so careful to hide the incriminating ears on his head from passerby's. With a deep breath and a sigh, he stuck his hands in the pockets of his pants and strolled out behind his siblings. His eyes forever glued to the road before them.
It didn't take long though, before the entire group were grumbling and growling, trying to stay on the paths before them, and not being forced by the wind to tumble into the large canyon below. And even a shorter time before the five of them were staring at the back of a cloaked figure, seemingly having the same trouble as them.
Damn wind.
"Oy! Either move faster or jump, Baka. I don't want to be out here all day!" Tobi growled over the wind, her hair already blown in such a mess she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to fix it. PoPo glanced over her shoulder, with one brow raised in question. From behind her Takumi bellowed out. "WHAT'S THE HOLD UP!?"
Oh, he could see over both their heads quite well. But he enjoyed annoying his siblings as much as they enjoyed annoying him. And with an innocent smile he waited.

It was bad enough having to deal with the treacherous trail. Now her ears, although picking up quite a bit of wind, could hear a small commotion coming from the back. Sounded like three... but then when other voices bellowed in it sounded altogether like five. And although the gorge's winds picked up briefly, she could distinctly smell one word coming from the back- wolves. Although really she shouldn't mind, she did have a thought of wolf demons trying to mess with her. She did have a great time with wolves. one did actually try to kill her when she was small after all...
But maybe she should just focus on the narrowing path ahead. Was it her or was the trail becoming more dangerous by the moment? A casual walk had turned into a very slow pace to keep herself from falling off the edge. And what's worse the voices behind her were becoming more and more distracting as they closed the distance between themselves and her. They seemed to hardly care about safety as one bellowed out to her in a rude manner.
At first she was just going to ignore the comment, but it seems their impatience was contagious. Another loud roar of what was taking so long made her stop in her tracks. Could she have a little self control in the back? Apparently not as the grumbling continued.
She sighs, taking in a deep breath before turning around, her face and bangs in perfect view of the people to see. Although it was mostly her expression of aggravation that might draw more attention then what it would normally be.
"Excuse me... but whoever has called me 'baka' should hold their tongue in regards to the many souls that have perished falling down into the gorge because of carelessness. I do not feel the need to rush, so your foolish insult will be for nothing."
Giving a soft breath afterwards, her hand tightens around her should held bag as she turns around to begin her slow and careful trek through the gorge. It was questioning whether or not the group behind her would be so kind as to keep their careless grumbling to themselves. But her guard was up and her hand was carefully close to her Kagami incase anything should happen. The heavens could only know her want to have a safe, none distracting day.
