Detailed Personality Description:
Overall Den is a relatively quiet person, with a soft, gentle voice, and few words. The most anyone ever hears of his voice is when he is playing and singing a song, usually at the local cafe where he plays on Friday nights. He never raises his voice, even when angry (usually at Yuzuna, for calling him "Denny-kun", or worse, "Denny-chan"). Although not shy, he just doesn't feel the need to speak more than is necessary. Yuzuna has said in the past that this is because the guitar player is too lazy to talk.
Despite his growing fame as a singer/guitar player, Denjiro is not remotely stuck up, or ego-inflated. He is a very down to earth person, who only plays for the sheer enjoyment he gets from it. As well as the happiness he gives to others when they hear him. He prefers to play slower songs, ballads, than rock songs, and despises most famous musicians because they are too commercialized, no longer playing just for the sake of playing.
The only thing that Den, very tall for his age, is afraid of is dogs, after an attack he suffered when he was a young child. Since then he has been a cat person, owning at least two, and avoiding dogs like the plague.

Detailed Personal History:
Den grew up in a fairly ordinary family, and did what he was told as he grew up. He cleaned his room when asked, did his homework without being asked, and did any other chores he was asked to do around his family's convenience store. He got very good grades, was great with sports, and seemed to be a gifted musician. But his parents were sad to see that he didn't socialize well, and had few friends. So they were very happy when, one day, he brought a young girl named Yuzuna to the store to meet them. They were overjoyed that their son had made a good friend at last.
The truth behind Den's friendship with Yuzu was that he had saved her from drowning in the river when they were in sixth grade, and she had declared him her best friend. She hung off of him, and wouldn't leave him alone. Not that he minded. Yuzuna was cute, and sweet, though he wondered why she called him "Denny".
In the eighth grade Denjiro got a tattoo on his right arm, a Celtic symbol, and started seriously composing music. He started to play a little cafe that wasn't doing very good business on Friday nights, and soon the place was hopping, much more popular. Yuzuna and the owner said it was because of him and his playing, although he swore it was simply because the cafe served such good food and tea.
At the end of ninth grade, when his best friend got horrible grades on her entrance exams, and only made it into one of the lesser known, public schools, Den had a choice before him. He had been accepted to a few of the hard to get into schools, but he didn't want to go to a different school from Yuzu. So, despite how he knew it would disappoint his family, Den went to the same school as her.
