Urufu would've sighed if not for the suggestion to walk with her to the next village. She couldn't help but still be wary, even after the woman said simply she would keep such a weakness to herself and no one else. Aside from the attempted robbery, the woman had not pulled anything slick on her or anything and was even trying to be nice enough as it was. but she wondered after all...
Seeing she really couldn't refuse such a request and being as though she was no indebted to the ice woman, she sighs and rummages through her bags as the two began to walk side by side. A scroll is handed to Umiko to allow her to see what sort of artistry she had. As the scroll was rolled up, a sudden picture of a roaring mouth to the heavens would leave anyone to wonder if the thing was real or just on paper. As the scroll rolled completely down, it revealed itself to be a serpent like dragon, roaring at the skies as if it had done the mighty beast wrong.
Fur covered its body in a light silver tint with white shading to ensure the fur blended in with the clouds. The background could be seen as the dragon was on a cliff in its roaring state, the clouds dimmed with what appeared to be a storm that would soon fall upon the written land. Perhaps that was the reason for the dragon's anger, ivory fangs holding still within its mouth and a tongue that was long riled in its mouth as it forever remained in its angered pose. Long it was, blue hair ran down its back as if it were like normal scales that completely enveloped its tail at the end, obviously riled in the midst of the dragon's anger. Horns slightly curved came from the back of its head, pointing downward from the dragon's raised head.
A single lightning bolt had been captured perhaps miles away from the dragon perch in the background. The drawing also held the cliff of which it stood in a cold dark brown shade. Perhaps the dragon was in the mountains if the environment and climate were true to be real.
Along the dragons legs were bird like legs and talons, ringed tanned orange rounded its feet as one right front paw was raised to grasp at the sky for its change in climate. fiery blue eyes angrily looked to the darkened clouds, its snot raised in all its fury. Urufu had pushed her arms in to her cloak and ears remained quirked upward as they continued to walk on. She had her eyes closed with a face that seemed to be that she was in deep thought as Umiko surveyed her work.

Umiko watched carefully as the wolf hybrid took out her scroll to show this ice demo who artistry, and no doubt that Umiko was very curious of what kind of art Urufu had to offer, and perhaps whether even mugging her would have been worth it. Moving a little closer, but making sure she kept her distance at the same time, a big difference compared to before. Umiko didn’t want to feel so protective over someone she barely knew, it would just cause trouble.
The ice demon studied the wolf hybrids art work and was astonished by the fine details and the overall image. Umiko was one for beautiful things but this was beautiful and wrathful at the same time, she stared at it in awe before turning to Urufu with a proud smile. “Its pretty darn good if I say so.” Umiko wanted to trace her finger against the lines of the majestic dragon but decided against it, she didn’t want her messy hands over such delicate artwork.
Umiko was about to ask if she had anymore before she felt a shift of pressure on the earth, and almost like a reflex she pulled out her bow and a small arrow which turned to ice at her very touch. “I presume you felt it too.” The ice demon smiled smugly before jumping onto a tree branch elegantly. Umiko shot into the darkness only to have an arrow shot back and then followed by a low groan. “Bandits.
Umiko pulled up her mask and jumped down beside Urufu, bandits were common at the house so concealing her identity now was a must. Soon enough perhaps about ten to twenty men came hurdling through the tree’s circling them both, some equipped with bows, some daggers and others beasty axes.
’ Look what we have here boys, maybe we’ll get something more out of this than just possessions. The fairly large man laughed loudly before mentioning a few of his men to advance upon them. Umiko smiled almost innocently before she felt a man come up behind her, it was much like the ice demon to show off during battle and this she took up as an opportunity to do so. Umiko swiftly moved grabbing the man firmly around the neck, letting her ice abilities to freeze him solid. The ice demon turned to the large man with a smug grin, before flicking the frozen man causing him to shatter.
“Perhaps you should back down? “ Umiko spoke sternly, she tried to hide the fatigue in her voice, she hadn’t used her ice abilities like that in awhile so she grew slightly more weaker. Unfortunately for the ice demon the man grunted angrily, taking a swig from his flask he then threw it towards her in a attempt to hit her square in the face.

She always appreciated someone who found her work to be something more then just a drawing. She was happy to have people smile at her work and feel something from it. That's just how Uru was; she wanted people to feel her drawings could come right off the paper at any moment. That’s what she strived for and that’s what she was paid for. Normally things you enjoyed if you started working for them it loses its luster… but so far Urufu loved to take a brush and draw anything anywhere, not just on paper.
Their nice walk was shortly outlived as she felt a shiver run down her spine. Her ears quickly caught the sound of movement unlike any animal or demon would have. It was much too sluggish and slouchy to be some mastermind trying to catch them off guard. Humans… they really needed to work on their moment of surprise really. Her nose easily picked up the scent of dirty flesh and old fabric from afar. Just as she pulled her own cloak over her head the human trash suddenly appeared through the bushes like scavenging vultures waiting upon the weak.
The bandit who made obvious comment about taking more then mere possession got his attention that he so desperately needed. Her eyes go cold to the man, unresponsive to such a thing it did not need a retort. Such low-life thieves seemed to be holding up mighty well in this forest… apparently. But the fact they had axes and daggers didn’t seem to make any intimidation on the hybrid as the men circled her and Umiko. Humans were no match for her alone but with another ‘ally’, the humans were just asking for too much trouble.
Being beside the ice woman, she bared witness to her skills. The man’s cries of pain as ice crystals formed in his blood and soon frostbite took hold of him completely, killing in mere seconds as he was incased in ice. Her eyes follow the man flying into the earth, shattering pieces of him everywhere. She was hardly impressed and was more along the lines of puzzled by Umiko’s actions. It was ironic to the fact she raised her bow to her before but a form of truce prevented Umiko from even being close to dying or her ways and yet she was resolved enough to pass judgment on someone who was attempting to do the same thing to her and killed him. If there was one thing Uru wasn’t, she wasn’t a killer.
Her ears catch the faintest sounds of rasps in her voice to let the hybrid know the ice demon was a little exhausted. Not that it mattered much; the two could still beat the bandits down with little effort. The shift of feet made Uru’s head whip to the large man from Umiko as he took aim and threw what appeared to be a flask at the woman’s head. Although it was aimed at her face, she watched the ice demon’s head turn to watch her back, not seeing the flask coming
~Critch~
The flask breaks upon her head; the contents spilling over the woman as he does managed to hit one of them in the head with the very flask he aimed. But yet again as most would have it, it was the wrong target. Urufu now stood where Umiko was moments ago, her arm still outstretched to the ice woman’s shoulder, having pushed her aside to take the brunt. But the contents were not at all lethal and the moment it struck her nose, Urufu realized how severe the issue had become. Not wanting to dilly dally now that time was of the essence, the cloak revealed the woman’s features, eyes flashing a bright red to signify her anger.
“Now you have angered me, human.”
She quickly dashes to the bandit leader, her actions spoke of her want to cause serious injury caused the man to raise his axe and attempt to stop her now that he knew he was dealing with at least one demon. But to his shock and horror, his axe hit nothing but the earth. Hearing a loud grunt from behind him, the man could only turn a little to receive a very hard kick to his neck, of which he could now no longer receive oxygen. She was not one to show off and simply wanted the job done. With a heavy punch to his gut, he holds his stomach before slipping to his knees in obvious agony.
Urufu turns to the rest of the men and growl inhumanly like an angry beast. She could already feel heat rising in her cheeks. She needed this done quickly. “The next one of you I touch will die. Do you want your skin burned off… or perhaps you want me to slowly take a ligament off you measly scavengers.”

Umiko relaxed her posture, and to be very honest she didn’t really think the man would throw the bottle at her, but most of all she didn’t expect that the wolf hybrid would take the hit. “Urufu?” The ice demoness questioned, an eyebrow raised. By the smell of the content it seemed to be filled with ale or cider, something along those lines. Umiko was frowned towards Urufu, why did she get in the way? Perhaps she thought it might have been something dangerous or toxic but if that were so why would she jump in the way. None of it made sense which angered the ice demoness more.
Umiko watched Urufu now with interest, it seemed the calm and collected mutt before had disappeared and was much more aggressive, don’t get her wrong she found the view very amusing so much so that she took a moment she lean against a tree and watch with delight. This ice demon shad very little morals, she killed when she wanted too, stole from who she pleased and had sex for pleasure and not love, and anyone that had a problem would it was free to say their views Umiko wouldn’t deny them that. As this wandered into her head she couldn’t help but think if Urufu thoughts frowned upon her.
Urufu’s threat to the humans set off a trigger in the ice demoness’s mind, walking forward whilst pulling out the flask of water at her hip. “My my, don’t have all the fun.” Umiko laughed while taking a sip of water for energy more than anything else. “Now, by throwing that flask your leader has determined your fate.” Umiko spoke as if she had said those words a thousand times, the tone seemed somewhat bored as she looked down to her nails casually.
A few bandits came at her now, instead of killing them instantly she decided more of an exercise would be more appropriate. Ducking the on coming attack from the first bandit whom wielded a axe, as the ice demon dropped to the floor she used this as an advantage to knock the second bandit off his feet, Swiftly moving behind the first she managed to end up behind him.
Umiko wrapped her cold hand around his head, letting him scream out in pain as the ice slowly reached his brain. Whilst she kept him in her grasp, taking his axe from him quite easily the ice demon spun down to the floor, penetrating the blade deep within the second bandits chest. Umiko dropped the axe and the now dead man upon the floor before taking another drink from her flask.
“How is everything Urufu?” The ice demoness asked with a smirk, she wasn’t stupid, she knew what would come of the alcohol filled flask.

She was unamused by Umiko's actions, as if to watch her and her actions. Her demonic side was more or less controllable when she felt enough was enough. Killing once had tainted her further... to kill again would make her mindless. Any smell of blood was almost as intoxicating as the very liquor that now drenched her head and had slowly leaked quite a bit into her mouth while her nose took on the full blunt of the concentrated stench that now surrounded her.
She knew she was in trouble as she stood in place, watching Umiko take on a few bandits before Urufu moved to simply knock most out or cause enough injury to keep in them in place. But she knew time was coming as the poisonous gas lurked in her system and just the very little she had swallowed was horrible to someone of her senses. As the short battle came to an end, it was easy to distinguish Urufu's opponents and Umiko's. All of her targets managed to live as she had so toughly made sure that would happen while half of their group lay dead in a pool of their own blood. Some had splattered that Urufu's groaning victim's were covered in their friend's crimson shade.
The very few that could still move got up and attempted to drag away their fallen comrades, obviously all of which who were still alive were much too hurt to even think about coming at the two demon women again. As they moved away, a soft clang echoed in the opening as Urufu held her head with one hand. Her senses were becoming blurry as if fog were right there in front of of her. Her naginata left her hand as she wobbly tried to stay on her feet. At one's best guess, she looked to be dizzy from blood loss, but how wrong anyone who thought that was.
~Hiccup~
Urufu was still coherent enough to know that her mind was fading, the smell overpowering her with no sense of mercy to it.
"Mmph... my sense o-of smell is... overpowering... th-this is... hard sake..."
She falls on all fours, her mind beginning to go and a long red shade began to come from cheek to cheek over her features. She could try to resist but one knows already that once you intake the alcohol it stays in your system not matter how much you try to stay sober.
"I... need to find a p-place... to recover..."
It was like someone who suddenly comes over in a dizzy spell that Uru felt her sense of judgment and motion leaving her fully. As she tries to stand, her legs wobbly hold her up as she picks her weapon back up and leans on it to try and stand at some form of posture. It was blatant enough she was fading from reality quickly as she looked to Umiko with a desperate face. Stumbling to stand on her own two feet, she moves to the woman with as little grace as one could handle. She barely made it as she tripped over her own feet and landed in Umiko's arms once more. Another hiccup forces her body to jolt at the woman's icy touch. Her head rises very unsteadily as she points a tad off from the ice woman's face.
" I need to tell you sssometin inpor-ttant... you... you need t-to sssstop bein... a jjjerk."
And that was the beginning of the end for Urufu's sanity as she tries to point at the woman, but could sadly hardly even point towards her direction and seemed to be gesturing to the sky as her alcoholic breath catches Umiko's nose off guard. It was a wonder how much uru's might've in-took from the hit. The flask had been full so unless Urufu hid it very well, she might've swallowed more then she thought when she was a t least a little coherent.

Umiko looked disapprovingly at the half of bandits still alive, the half that Urufu was meant to take care off, though they seemed to have got the message and were stumbling and helping each other to escape. The ice demoness let out a unsatisfied grunt, letting them escape, she didn’t want to get anymore blood on her outfit anyway.
Turning to Urufu the demoness frowned a little, it seemed the alcohol was getting to the wolf hybrid quickly. Such a lightweight. Umiko thought to herself as she just watched Urufu stumble and fall about, it seemed this was much more entertaining than Urufu angry, so much so that Umiko laughed more than once. “Im guessing you don’t drink much?” She laughed once more before jumping slightly as the wolf hybrids weight was forced upon her.
Umiko looked down at Urufu as she jolted and hiccupped with wide eyes. Did she just call me a jerk? . The demoness blinked several times before sighing in defeat. “You know if you want help calling me a jerk isn’t the best thing to do.” Umiko shook her head and then pinching her nose as the mutts breath reached her nose. “Jeez, did you catch the flask in your mouth! The ice demoness shifted her arm around Urufu’s shoulder to help balance the weight.
Umiko began to walk forward, she would go towards the nearest cave or spot within this forest where this mutt could rest without any disturbances. Whilst they walked she considered waiting till the wolf hybrid was asleep and taking her things but another part of her disliked the idea, perhaps her conscience, the angel on her shoulder?
“You owe me big time. “ Umiko whispered to Urufu, this was possibly the first time the demoness had not taken advantage of such a situation.

Urufu gives a disproved moan as the woman throws her arm over her. She tugs at her arm to get her appendage back as the woman began to walk. She groans in disproval once more, trying to get her arm back, but her drunken manners made it nearly damn impossible to fight the woman. But she was not about to let facts stop from fighting the woman. Her eyes narrow very poorly upon the woman as her head tries to remain straight up to focus on the woman. She then seemed to pay attention to the sky. If the woman decided to look before them, a storm seemed to be forming with the possibility of thunder and lightning with it. A sudden lightning bolt from far away struck down and as soon as the after math of thunder came to Urufu’s ears, she began to struggle all the more. Did she not want to get wet or something?
“N-no!…” she groans, and began to really fight with the woman to letting go of her arm. It became to a point in struggling against the woman that she would feel her bow move off her shoulders and fall to the ground as she continued to struggle against her, obviously incoherent of the kind deed she was trying to do. She tugs and pulls on her arm as Umiko tries to regain control of the situation, but he unwilling to cooperate was certainly weighing heavily on her. The Smell of hard Sake was so over powering, it blocked out the poor woman’s sense of smell as well. Urufu seemed to be struggling greatly for freedom of Umiko’s grasp that she tired herself greatly to just getting her mild coherency back in order.
But her struggles were not over yet as the woman dug her feet into the dirt to prevent Umiko from making any progress. Umiko’s bow was on the ground just a few feet from them as Uru whined and groaned to be released. But it seemed Urufu had one last trick up her sleeve for having Umiko release her. In a sudden grunt of what seemed to be pain, Uru’s body was suddenly enveloped in large blue flame that if Umiko didn’t let go, she could easily be burned or worse.
But as the flames died down, Umiko would not see the Urufu she had come to know standing before her. Upon trying to recover herself from the sudden burst of flames, the ice woman would give sight to a very strange scene before her now. Ebony claws dug into the ground, blue fur shined in the disappearing sun as clouds began to move over to make way for perhaps a very bad storm. Although it seemed so far off the path of what Umiko would be taking, one could wonder how bad it may be once it reached the area. But perhaps Umiko’s focus was souly on the now fully change Urufu before her. A long tail wagged fervently behind her as her canine features seemed to be above what Umiko had thought as a cute appendage. Ice crystals seemed to be growing from her wrists and ankles… even her shoulders seem to exhibit the same qualities. Her eyes seemed to have a deeper feel to them. Long ivory teeth bare at her threateningly with a muzzle twitching from the bared posture as what appeared to be a horse sized wolf made itself known to be angry with her. Its back had a purple gleaming shield circulating on it and flames of unworldly proportions filtered around the growling wolf. One could not possibly think this creature was Urufu with just a sudden burst of flames… that was until it began to speak.
“I sssaid n-na-no. Ju-st becaussse I’m all oveeerr deh pwace… doesn’ men I dunno what you’r doin. You ar a deif… so you wen gonna twy to sfiel from me…”
It seemed the alcoholism had not dispersed from Urufu’s transformation either. Her words were slurred and lazy, but it seemed a turn of events might have Umiko with fiery blood. Uru looks down and picks up the woman’s bow in her mouth and smiles rather asinine at the woman.
“Now look who hsss beeen sdieved. If you wan it ba…ck…den I guess you’re gonna haff ta get meh. Bubii!”
And with Umiko’s bow in tow, she suddenly and rather clumsily turned east of the northern path and took off running, laughing impractically while she did so. Although she was obviously drunk off the hard sake, she seemed to have a vague suspicion that the ice woman would’ve stolen from her. Whether or not that was a placed fact was beside the point as Umiko would no doubt be in shock that a wolfen Urufu had taken off with her bow.

Umiko felt the annoyance reaching further and further up till she was at boiling point about to burst. Perhaps helping this mutt demon wasn’t worth the trouble she seemed to be giving the ice demoness, perhaps she could just freeze her now and be on her way with the possessions or not it did not matter just as long as she left with at least some of her dignity. “You’re a real pain in the ass.” Umiko muttered angrily as Urufu struggled in her grasp so much so that Umiko relaxed, if the mutt truly wanted to leave then she could.
But once Urufu began to heat up Umiko quickly pushed her aside, though she wished she pushed much harder as the wolf hybrid turned to a fit of flames. “That son of a bitch!” The ice demoness yelled angrily, she went to pull out her bow but instead found nothing. Her icy blue eyes moved to the floor as she let out a sigh, the bow had fallen and there was no way she could get to it without the mutt stopping her.
The human like Urufu that Umiko was used to disappeared and reappeared as a giant wolf, at first the ice demoness was surprised, but that soon faded, she had seen much more impressive form change and to be honest she didn’t want Urufu to think that Umiko was that impressed, even if she was pretty handsome wolf. “Okay lets get this straight, don’t piss me off wolfy you’ll already on my last nerve.”
Sliding her foot back slightly Umiko stared at Urufu a little surprised at what came out from her mouth, of course it was hard to make it out at first but soon enough she got the gist. “Fine, I shall leave you in the forest.” The ice demoness stated before realizing her bow was in the mutt’s mouth. ” Wait no! Bitch!!” Umiko watched as Urufu an off into the woods with her bow.
Luckily enough for Umiko there was a small river not far beside them that was travelling the same way, with a smirk she stepped upon the water as it slowly turned to ice, this would be ideal for fast moving. The ice demoness slid smoothly and yet very quickly towards the direction of the wolf so much so that she was almost beside her.
”Gimme my damn bow mutt!

Urufu simply laughed in her silly world as the woman demanded her to give her bow back. Despite her clumsy demeanor now, Uru was easily giving Umiko a run for her money as they winded in between trees and past rocks. The wolf became interested as the woman began to skate next to her, grabbing again and again for her bow but she would have none of it. Seeing the woman was going to keep up with her running, she decided to make it a bit harder for Umiko to even touch her.
Skidding sideways, Urufu charges towards the skating woman, perhaps trying to make her falter in her movements. But in sudden gruff did Urufu jump over her and was presumably going to land behind her. But with no thud heard, Umiko had another surprise to take in to account.
Urufu was now flying high above the trees, completely out of the ice woman’s reach. But in a sudden and puzzling action, Urufu veers around to hover above the woman with a drunken smile. She was obviously not interested in stealing her bow for she could’ve done so, but the fact she remained to let Umiko follow was something that perhaps a game could be the answer. Whether it is a game or not, Umiko was no doubt un-amused by Urufu’s actions of playing with her by using her bow as leverage.
As she takes off, surprisingly sticking to the river to perhaps allow Umiko to do her ice manipulations. As she continued to let the chase go on, the river was becoming bigger and bigger. Perhaps they were reaching the source of the streaming flow, but for now it was perhaps that the ice woman was focusing on her target above.
Passed densely populated trees did Umiko see a waterfall that was perhaps as tall as an Emperor’s palace. The raging wall of water was extremely loud and the smell of fresh water was very much something to behold. But Urufu let the scenery be as it was as she took a particular interest in the very high summit of the rapids.
She gave Umiko another smile, her teeth still holding fast of her bow before she dives into the waterfall, surprisingly disappearing despite the rock formation behind the falling waters. Perhaps Uru has found a cave, but all that was known to Umiko was that she had some climbing to do to reach such a secretive passage.

Umiko snarled with annoyance, now she was beginning to mentally hit herself for sparing this damn mutt demons life, or possessions. Moving swiftly side to side to gain speed on the not so smooth ice, she tried to keep up with the four legged rodent as much as she could but looking at the odds it didn’t seem at all fair. A Huge ass wolf racing against a little ol Umiko who though had speed on her two legs but against four? C’mon!
Umiko leaned forward to gain a lot more speed but as she did she noticed Urufu jump into the air, and unfortunately for the ice demon she had to keep an eye on where she was going as well as the whereabouts of Mutt. The demoness didn’t hear the thud of the ice behind her which worried her a little, it only took one quick glance up that she suddenly saw Urufu flying above her. “How is that fair!” Umiko shouted angrily, it was beginning to feel more and more like a game which only made Umiko detest her more.
So not only could this girl turn into a giant ass dog she could also fly? Umiko now only wished she could turn into her demon state so easily but unlike most demon’s it would need Umiko to become so filled with emotion for her to change and her changed form wasn’t at all a pretty sight. The ice demoness pushed away the images of the night at the brothel away from her mind and continued to concentrate on Urufu who was heading upstream towards a giant waterfall.
“Shit. “ Umiko muttered as she glided herself to the side slightly to help her come to a gracefully stop just before hitting the rushing waters. The demoness was determined to catch her so she looked at this waterfall as a challenge. Breathing steadily as the slowly approached the sharply formed rocks and giant crashing waves, gently she touched the tip of rising crashing and bit my bit it turned to ice.
Of course the ice demoness didn’t have enough energy right now to muster enough power to turn the whole waterfall into ice but bit my bit she could just about jump to the whereabouts Urufu entered. Slowly but surely she jumped up upon the newly formed ice, jumping again she placed the tip of her foot into the water, creating a small dent of ice. Umiko carried on with this until she reached the spot she was sure Urufu entered.
“You better be ready!” The demoness shouted as she dived into the water’s, rolling into the cave she looked to where Urufu was with a icy glare. The water that drenched her turned to ice, the speck of frost in her hair were visible even in the dark of the cave. Before Umiko said a vord she turned to the entrance of the cave and froze it over, she wasnt going to let Urufu just run off again with her bow.

As Umiko burst through the waterfall, she would find the raging waters had made the cave very dark and surprisingly quiet despite the raging waters behind it. It was dark all except for the blue lit fires of piled hey that seemed to have been started by the drunken demoness. Although the sound seems to be so faint, it rumbled the cave until she closed it with her ice manipulations. Now that the entrance had been closed, it was surprisingly quiet. But a flickering flaming echoed off the cave and with it the sound of soft breathing.
Urufu walked slowly towards Umiko with a half lit smile and her clumsy legs. She seemed to have changed back; her bag and naginata were off to the side. Even her cloak was there, giving Umiko a fully better view of the drunken wolf hybrid as she neared her in a none threatening manner. She dares to trip again and fall into her arms, nuzzling the woman’s neck before uttering the soft word of “Stay” to her before she suddenly begins to go limp in the woman’s grasp. In a matter of seconds, the once unpredictable wolf hybrid slipped into slumber while having Umiko hold her if she still had in her arms.
A soft sigh escapes her lips, with a few grumbled moans that seemed to be from the poisonous concoction of the bandit’s sake. Though the fire was small, it was slightly warming, but only enough to escape the touch of a cold night in the cave. And since Umiko had blocked the exit, what cold chill she needed to keep comfortable was right there in her midst as well.
Judging by splayed Urufu’s actions were, it was doubtful she knew of this cave to any standpoint, but the fact remained that she found the two of them shelter was perhaps an unreasonable way of getting Umiko a quiet place to sleep as well. But it was foolish ways think that Urufu had planned any of this in her drunken state to make Umiko follow her to find shelter. Uru had no reason too, correct? Perhaps delving into the mind of a now sleeping Uru would cause much headache. It was simple enough to just stay the dwindling day and night in the cave and then move on if she had so wished to do so. At least the cave was quiet enough to dose off in.

Umiko’s joints tightened as she looked into the darkness of the cave, she felt Urufu’s presence, she knew she had gone to the right place now all she had to do now is take her bow back and leave the mutt to freeze to death in the ebony darkness. The ice demon turned to the blue flames, it seemed that perhaps if she left the wolf hybrid could burn a whole through the ice but in her condition she’d need a good rest first.
Umiko raised up into a standing position, her head shot towards Urufu as she walked into the light, it seemed she wasn’t in her wolf form anymore and that comforted the demoness a little, now it would be easy to take her bow back without fearing the big ruthless jaw. “Where is my bow?” Umiko demanded sternly but Urufu half smiled, it was very clear to see just how drunk this mutt was, so drunk she could hardly stand.
“Look Ur-” Umiko couldn’t finish her sentence before she felt the force of Urufu fall upon her, with what strength she could muster at such a short notice she held her up, sliding one foot back to support the weight a lot more. Stay. The demonessess eyes widened slightly at Urufu’s words, she did not expect them and yet it was nice to be wanted.
Her body was stiff as the wolf hybrid nuzzled into her neck, Umiko wasn’t sure what to do, whether to accept her in or push her back, but instead the demoness decided to move herself against a wall nearest the fire and let Urufu rest, whether it far away or very close.

Though Umiko didn’t realize, Urufu had easily fallen asleep and would no doubt stay that way until mid-morning. If Umiko decided to stay for so long, she would no doubt find herself drifting off as well. The fires warmed the two up to a point, but even out of Urufu could shiver in Umiko’s cold embrace. With ears flopped down and her tail wagging once every few minutes, only the fires offered much of a sound in the cave.
--- The Next Morning
The sun could barely shine into the still ice covered entrance of the cave as Urufu continue to sleep soundly, having wrapped herself completely around Umiko in a manner most befitting like sisters. Of course Uru may not be so inclined to do so if she were coherent enough, but judging by her soft hiccup, she was still indeed under the influence but perhaps not as much as before.
Umiko would awaken to the position and would no doubt notice the sun’s shimmering light passed the ice and falls. Now would be a good time to retrieve her bow and be off if she so wished. Of course passed the ice and falls would she be able to have some freedom. But as she would find herself having a view of the scenery, she would see such a terrible sight. It seemed the dead plants and trees on both side of the falls was caused by a fire as simmers and smoke continue to filter high into the air. What could’ve caused such a thing was questionable, but perhaps the strangest thing was how Uru and Umiko managed to find such good safety from any fire’s raging wrath. But if Umiko would be so inclined to believe… did Urufu know of the fires and led her here? Was that also the reason for Uru’s want for Umiko to remain with her?
