A lone figure could be seen standing on the top of a rising crest of a hill. Behind the figure was a lush, green forest, and before him, about 100 feet out, was the rising and falling ocean. The man ran a hand through his dark hair, running it backwards.
Ash's eyes were dark with drowsiness. His body was aching with exhaustion. He spend the last couple of weeks with little sleep, training his mind and body in the middle of the darkest part of the forest, and only just came back out of hiding.
He came to the ocean because of its peacefulness, and because it always soothed him. Though vast, the ocean can supply anyone with anything they needed or wanted. He felt safe and at home near the ocean. Ash watched through hooded eyes at the red sun fingers above the horizon. There was about an hour left before it hit the horizon, then he would be left with only the moon for company.
Or would he. He heard a subtle snap behind him, Ash only able to hear it with enhanced hearing. He turned around, hands lightly spread from his sides, ready for anything. [/sub]
