The soft sound of a man encouraging his horse to move at a steady pace can be heard down the path for perhaps quite a few yards. The sight of a large wagon came closer to a checkpoint where a cloaked woman sat on a log bench to take a small rest. The glittering blue of the cloak catches the man’s eyes as he flicks the reigns up and down to get his horse to move at a faster pace. He should be so happy the hard dirt path had been taken cared of given the room he had with the forest quite a few yards away from the path. Though simply walking, the horse obeys and picks up his face as they pass the woman slowly. He gives a small glance before the woman looks up to return the glance with a polite smile.
Urufu’s smile hides her suspicious character as she simply waves the man good-bye while he continues in the opposite direction she was going. Her silver and blue like bangs were the only part of her head to be seen at the time. Though her cloaked covered her head and her back image, the tie to keep her hood rightly around her neck to hide her front form was loose and undone to allow her arms to be able to move outside her cloak if necessary. But for now they were simply resting in her lap as the woman rests for a few short moments. As she stood, her arms went for her bag and naginata. Strapping her bag to her side and her Kokoro to her back, she moves her right hand about to get feeling back into it from her wristband. Finding everything was where it should be, Uru could only sigh as she takes into account she had several miles to go before reached the next village. Who knew selling art could be such a task to have…
Taking in a deep breath, her sandals shift into the dirt as she turns to the direction of the path she was going to begin her trek once more. The forest seemed to keep its distance from the frequently used trail as grass seemed to be the closest form of vegetation to the rocky trail. Not that Urufu had any issue with the forest; she traveled regularly through it all the time any ways. But it was nice to have room to walk freely without having to step or jump over large and dense woods.
Her skin pales in comparison to the yellow like pavement she walked upon as her head rises to look down the path before her. She couldn’t help but smile and perhaps start a small tune in her mind to keep the time rolling as she walked a casual pace. She did love walking, but after all, it did get boring rather quickly. What’s more was that humming did get the time to pass on her trek. Her mind was easily fixated on her own thoughts and tuned out mostly anything about her for the moment. Thoughts of how her sister was doing and how her weapon’s business was going were always something that took half of her attention away. But she kept a steady pace on the trail as she began to reach a particular section where the forest was moving closer and closer to the trail it seemed. But she paid it no heed, already focused on passing through to get her business going in the next village. She couldn’t very well bother her instincts telling her to keep her guard up right then and there or else she would never get to the village before night fall.

The forest path came within feet of touching the dirt path as she entered the enclosed trail without much hesitation. She couldn’t very well afford to be afraid let alone intimidated to the fact that she was in a vulnerable spot at the time. Simply passing by it with little time in it would suffice in keeping her safe, no? The longer she spent in such a position the more likely she would be in trouble so it was only common sense to pick up her pace just a little to get to the other side of the dense forest to the clear path once more. So on she pursued to the clearer path before something should happen. It wasn’t the fact she was afraid of being attacked, it did just the unwanted attack to happen in any case. Uru was one to avoid attacks unless threatened first. It was her nature to try and keep her demonic blood in check and to have a sane mind at all times. She had already failed once in keeping her mind from going arise with all forms of emotions. Keeping any form of unneeded emotions in check would help her greatly.
But it seemed fate had a different plan for what she had wanted. As any form of irony would have it, a scent flows with the wind and into her sensitive nose. The smell was unsettling. The scent carried unhappy emotions, salt water, and human all in one unflattering scent that made her furrow her brows in confusion. But she tries to ignore the smell that seemed to be becoming thicker the further she trekked through the woods. But as any by passer, she tries to ignore her sense of danger, the feeling and smell was unthreatening and therefore none of her business. Well… maybe the threat wasn’t direct…
Soon she pinpointed the smell to a thicket of bushes. While continuing her walk, she regards the brush momentarily but after watching it for seconds and nothing happen, she decided to ignore it completely. That was… until her ears perked to bushes being brushed apart.
In an instant, a shadowy form came from the woods and in front of her path. Her body stiffens and her hand goes back to grab her naginata until she realizes it was but a small girl. She should be so happy to not have to pull her weapon on a target, but there was a sense of danger that still hung thick in the air. As the girl threw herself onto her knees before her, she doesn’t even move as the girl remains in place for what seemed like hours but was only seconds.
She furrows her brows in confusion to the little girl and senses no danger directed towards her by the act. She smelled of human, but there was something understandably not right with her at all. And there really was only one way to find out what was wrong. She bends down slightly to regard the little girl that was bowing before her with a compassionate tone. It was then she understood the salt water she had smelled were indeed tears.
"My dear, why are you like this? Why do you kneel before me?" she asked softly, her voice meaning to be calm and perhaps soothing to this obviously distressed girl. [/size]
