Kaname sighed as she stared down at a white piece of paper on her lap. She was sitting on a bench in the park near her home, too afraid to actually head back to the shrine. The paper on her lap that made her so afraid was the scores for her final exams which she had taken a few days earlier.
...and none of the scores were passing. She would have no choice but to redo them. "It's not my fault," she murmured under her breath. "I didn't have time to study..." Which was true. She had spent all of her time in the Feudal Era, without any of her schoolbooks.
The young woman sighed again. She was seventeen... she would soon have to go to college, but... how could she with marks like these? She would never get accepted to any college at this rate--not even a third rate one. She felt her eyes well up with tears. "What am I going to do now?" she whispered.

A breathe was caught dead to the others, out of someone's breathe. It seems more of a sigh, a sigh from a young male as he was exiting the downtown area of Tokyo. Redrick was that male, and certainly he didn't entirely like the city at least the downtown parts of it. He was not too happy about many things, for one he thought he had a day off. But that turned around as he had to handle a few criminals that people know about; yet they didn't have the guts to deal with them.
The proof of this was the holding of his blacktail, as he still grasp the handle tightly. He didn't want to even fire on this day, he wanted a good day that was for sure. Yet it backfired on him, and also there was a small stain of blood from one of the dead bodies as the bullet made the wound. "Fuck...Dipshit people. They had to make more wrong deeds. I certainly had no choice since they pointed guns to me as well."
The face Redrick was making was certainly an easy one to interpret, but for the moment, he was not too far in his angry state, likely he is still easy to chat with. But soon he noticed the blacktail, and places it back to the holster itself. "What a pain...what a fucking pain." He was walking with that face not really noticing there was a young woman, just being depresseed about something over school.
For a moment, it seems that his mind was going around with a few dozen or so thoughts, most of them just giving him a bloody headache. when he notices a bench, but not seeing the young woman, he sat down quickly and a bit quietly as well, not making a simple sigh to notice his presence, next to the woman.

Kaname's eyes widened when she noticed that someone had sat down next to her. How could she have not noticed him sooner? She once again mentally reminded herself that she had almost no powers for sensing other auras. Her powers consisted of healing, defending, and attacking. No, no sensing whatsoever. Kagome and the others had always taken care of that. Then Cyanide had taken care of that for her as well...
I'm always depending on someone... she thought sadly. Why couldn't she ever just do things for herself? Too bad she didn't know the answer to that. Hanging her head so that her hair fell in a curtain around her face, Kaname glanced over at the stranger next to her. He was... interesting looking. He looked tough. Sort of like a demon, but... still not. He also looked like something was wrong with him too. Crumpling up the sheet of paper into a ball she sighed once more.
"So I guess you have problems too?" she asked bluntly, not really caring if the man answered her or not.

For the moment Redrick was trying to clear up his thoughts, for he didn't want a headache. If one did come around he would become pissed, which was a bad sigh for those new and anyone just near Redrick himself. He sighed very lightly so at the least if anyone was nearby didn't have a good chance to hear the sigh. But it seems that at the very corner of his eye, he noticed the young woman.
"Hmm...wait someone is there...well I never thought there would be anyone. Oh well." For the time being his head slowly moved towards the woman, but still having the view of that he hardly noticed anything. For the moment his mind wanted to form a smile, but that was difficult for the moment. The woman spoke to Redrick, asking about him having some problems. "Yea...seriously do." His voice was a little cold and with a little hint of a British accent. This was however light, as he looked at the sky.
He slightly stretched at the time; for most likely he needed the stretch. For the moment he looks again tot eh woman only he did notice she was a bit depressed for the time being. "So then...why you down at this time?" Yes he was a bit curious and tried to keep the harsh tone inside himself, but some leaked out.

The young woman jerked her head up and stared at him in shock. She knew she had been fairly rude to say something so out of the blue like that, but she hadn't actually expected he would respond, let alone ask her a question in return. It was so... surreal, she almost wondered if she was dreaming. But no, she didn't suppose that she was.
"Oh... nothing," she replied in a fake cheerful voice, which sounded bad to her own ears. She could only imagine how false it would sound to his. "Just thinking about some things." She forced a smile, like she often found herself doing whenever she spent time in this era lately. It always seemed that people in the Feudal Era understood her so much better than people in this era... "I'm sorry if I bothered you before," she added.

For the moment, he was never sure if the young woman would answer him at the time. He was having some sort of feeling that the answer wouldn't form from her mouth. Yet he was not sure why he was following a feeling like that; maybe it was because of his mood. He wasn't sure how things could get any better, but he didn't want anything going down any worse.
But Redrick at the moment didn't seem to know the answers only he left his thoughts again, as he slightly looks at the woman. He hears her answer, saying it was really just nothing; and possibly was when he glances at the paper. However, he can't see the words and all so he didn't look at the paper any longer.
But soon he also hear that she was sorry about bothering him, but actaully he was bothered by her at all, just as he arrived. "No you never bothered me actaully...just other things did. You don't need to say sorry though." He soon looked at her face still sitting the exact same bloody spot. But this time he gave a small smile maybe fake or soemthing but he was not sure at this time.

"Oh... OK then."
Awkward silence. Kaname shifted uncomfortably on the bench, fighting the desire to stand up and walk away. She was starting to understand the whole 'don't talk to strangers' thing. Well, she had obviously not learned that lesson very well, since she had spoken to him in the first place. And he wasn't the first stranger she had spoken to in the past few years.
I guess I won't ever learn my lesson, she thought with a mental shrug. Still though, she wondered if she should just leave. She shifted again, finally letting her gaze rest on the sky high up above, since she had no idea where else to look. What could she say? More importantly, did she even want to say anything? Both questions she didn't know if she was able to answer.

Yep, Redrick was not a very happy person at the time, but then again he may have killed the conversation easily. But he wouldn't know, he somewhat liked having the silence around, definitely at this moment in time. For the time being he was looking in front of him, as in looking at the houses instead of the girl for the moment. For a certain amount of time it seems he was into his thoughts once again.
"So what did I do now...oh well it could be my fault yet I blame the idiots that pissed me off." He sighed under his breathe at the time. He was not sure what things could happen at this thine, but then again he won't know what to say over his anger. But Redrick swear he saw soemthing different, as his eyes slightly scanned the area. "And what in fuck was that?"
