Thorn may have a harsh sounding name, and indeed her tongue can react like a whip, with words sharp as a hornet's stinger. But, that's only half the time. She seems to have dual personalities, one sensible and outgoing, the other shy and withdrawn. But one way or another she is very kind. She is colorblind most of the time as well, due to an eye infection when she was a child, however long ago that was. Her hair is a tealish turquoise, and her eyes a lavender. She wears an elegant kimono that is many hues of purple, and her feet are nearly always bare, unless she is in the forest, where she could step on something, like a bramble or such. Her home is in a large thicket at the border of the forests, near the hot springs.

On a moonlit night in one of the vast fields of Japan, she met a dragon half-demon named Riujin. Even though it was a fair amount of time afterward, they fell in love, and he began staying with her at her thicket, with the silver doe, Silverhoof, and her many other pets. Life was good until the thicket was sieged by a darkness dragon demon of sorts, who poisoned Thorn. She fell into a coma, with an infected wound, but as Silverhoof explained to Riu, the only thing to heal her was by a kiss, since Thorn had healing properties. Riujin kissed her, and she woke some time later. Afterwards, another siege befell the village she protected, and the pair fought away the hundreds of demons, reviving the peace. It was maybe a day afterward that Thorn actually slept with him. The two have a pet shadow hunter named Echo.
