History
[/size]Detailed Personal History:
Soon after, the seven littermates were granted a much kinder mother; a stepmother named Nyoko. She was infertile, but she cared deeply for her unrelated kin, as they cared for her. Soon, after their father began having his own affairs, their heartbroken stepmother took herself and her step-children away, to hide out in the mountains in her summer house, which had been abandoned for years. There the kits grew and grew, and because powerful, unpampered, fierce warriors, with great knowledge of herbs, fighting, tricks, and stealing. Nyoko, however, soon passed away, another victim claimed by cancer.
Despite their sadness, the seven siblings continued life. They hunted for food and used the pelts for clothing, the bones for tools, and they grew and foraged herbs and vegetables and fruit. Until their father died; then, a bounty turned up. One of the seven were wanted alive so they could carry on the family bloodlines. When some demon bounty hunter found them, Simone, being among the three oldest, took full responsibility and was seperated from her beloved brothers and sisters. She was paired up with another neko from Russia, who looked as if he were descended from Russian blue nekos. Aside from blue-grey fur, he had large, slanted blue eyes that occasionally looked cross-eyed.
Simone was none too impressed nor wooed by her arranged fiance. She didn't like him at all. He was too sly, and he acted slightly perverted. So, she took off, and was closely followed by bloodhound dog demons. Since she'd been taken from Japan and placed in Russia, it was difficult to actually get home. But, sneaking aboard a pirate ship, she eventually made it home, only to fall for a handsome young sailor. His name was Kazuko. She loved him, and it took her a year to actually confess this to him. He'd felt the same, and they took off for the countryside to get married and bear kits. Unfortunately, he was painfully mortal and agonizingly fragile. Soon, men came for her, to take her away back to her ex-fiance. She rebelled. And they retaliated as well.
They took Kazuko, and they hid him in a barn. The place was full of hay and was obviously made of wood. But the wood and hay made it very, very flamable. Bow in hand, Simone'd barged n with a grand entrance. She aimed the bow at one of the inu-youkai, fired, and the arrow had hit him directly in the heart. She shot down the other three guarding her beloved, and then went to help him. Freeing him from his bonds, she'd kissed him and sobbed in relief. But the happiness was not to last. One of the guards had been shot just below the heart, and it may have been fatal, but not killing. He'd dragged himself without being noticed to a hanging oil lamp, and then thrown the thing at the foot of a haystack.
The fire had burned, burned. It killed Kazuko, and nearly killed Simone, had she not dove out of the barn carrying her lover's boddy with her, her left half still burning. She'd passed out. Next thing she knew, she woke up next to the ashes of the barn, the corpse of the man she loved, and with an infected burn that covered the whole half of her body. She was too weak to move, so she meekly kissed Kazuko's pale lips, then fallen into darkness once more.
This time, when she woke, her advanced healing had kicked in, and her side was still painful, but managable. Her heart weighed with sadness, she personally dug a hole and buried her soulmate. Too depressed and lonely to eat or drink, she slept over Kazuko's grave. For days, this went on until she was nothing but skin and bones. By now, her side only ached. It was merely a scar now, a nuisance... She hunted. But she was clumsy, even though she managed to fell a deer. She found a stream, drank, and slept more.
The first time she went into a village, her hair was ratty and still singed, her clothes ripped, torn and grimy, and her whole half of her body marred for eternity by scars. People looked at her in disdain, disgust. Children were frightened of her, and they couldn't help but stare. She limped to a clothing store, and using some yen she swiped, she bought herself some clothes. Then she fled, hiding in the woods near the burial site of Kazuko. She learned to manage her disabilities, but they made life complicated and hard. The once strong-willed, beautiful, and courageous woman has left, leaving only a lonely recluse who has no hope. A hypocrite who hasn't experienced kindness or love for more then a hundred years.
