"Thank you for helping my daughter young lady..", the voice of the innkeeper was directed towards Sakura as she was preparing her things. After all, she had been in this village for a week now. In that time, she had managed to help some of the ill fated villagers with her herbal remedies. Yet, she couldn't find the flower she had heard so much about, the one that was believed to give eternal life.
"Theres no need to leave so soon now. Its nearly dark, stay here for one more night. We'd all be terribly relieved to know that your not out wondering around at night. A girl your age, should be safe in bed. Bad enough to see you traveling alone..", the older male stated as he looked at her with a kind smile. A smile, something she had seen alot of in this place. Had she caused this change in emotions? No, she wasn't a miracle worker, all she did was what she knew.
"Ok..I will remain for the night..thank you..", the young girl stated as she placed her blade down onto her straw bed, and then walked from the room, and outside of the large hut. The moon was high over head, and while many had fell into slumber, this was another night where she could not join them.
Finding a thin tree nearby, the girl sat underneath its light shade and closed her eyes. Once again, memories flooded her mind, but this time, to her village.
-------------------------
It had only been two days since Gingi had passed. In that time, Sakura had isolated herself within their home, not taking any patients, or even accepting visits from worried neighbors. She had been left alone once more, by the only person that took her in during her time of need. Now that she was gone, she had nothing left here.
While searching through the old woman's collection of books, she came across the drawing of a white and red plumed flower. It was said, that long ago, it was blessed with the ability to give anyone life forever, imunity for all dieases and of all wounds and injuries. Staring at this object, the girl couldn't help but let a smile appear over her face. This was it, this was what she needed. The cure for death was right there....
"Sakura...I know that the death of Gingi has left you very lonely. But, I must say that this is alittle of a surprise..", a middle aged woman stated towards the young girl as she seemed to be preparing for a journey of some kind. With such a light arrangment of things, it didn't appear like she was going too far. But sadly, she was.
"I wish to find the cure for death... I do not see that as a surprise..", Sakura answered as she continued to look towards the piece of cloth she was folding before her. Her tone was serious. She actually planned to go through with this mission.
"But you do not know if this fable is true. For all you know, this flower could be mere fantasy..nothing more..", the woman was serious as well. But her expression seemed surprised when Sakura actually stopped what she was doing to look at her.
"We live in a world of demons and wandering spirits. Demi-gods walk the ground we stand on every day. Yet you question the power of a mere flower?", the girl asked calmly as she blinked her eyes towards the guest. Then, she returned to her preparations.

So long ago that was, and her confidence had yet to fade. But, the fact that she had gained no new leads did leave her slightly upset. Where would she go next? What could her next move be?
