Powers/Abilities:
Purification: A green glow surrounds her weapons or her hands and when it touches evil, it purifies it. This isn't as strong as Kagome's or Kikiyo's but it's pretty great. She needs more practice to make it better and to work on stronger demons.
One with the Earth: In the Shinto religion they believe in being in harmony with nature and people. Yumi goes into a deep meditation for about 15-60 minutes. When she reaches the state of peace she becomes one with the earth. This allows her to temporarily feel and hear her surroundings better than a normal human can. The range is limited to about 30-60 feet. It depends on how long she meditates.
Then there are just Bows and arrows that she can Channel her powers through.
Quick Attack(An Agility attack): This ability mostly works on humans, but sometimes demons fall prey to her attack. Her small frame and weight allow her to move faster and precise. She uses her speed along with her weapon of Choice and surprises the victim with a kill(or a pretty good blow).

Power: This sword is light weight so it's easy to maneuver and it's also covered in poison. Yumi gets this poison from some of the more powerful demons that she can fight. This enables her to kill the lesser demons or evil humans off faster.
A spell was cast on this sword making it only able to be controlled by the owner's family. If anyone other tries to use it, the sword disappears until it's back in the family member's hand.
Limitations: Sometimes the poison isn't enough to kill the demons. She has to use her purification powers with the sword when poison isn't enough. The purification powers purify the poison so the attack isn't as strong as purification and poison separately.
History: This sword was crafted about 15 years ago by one of the finest craftsmen in the area around her village. It cost about 51,532.50 yen ( about 500 U.S. dollars), which was very expensive in her time. It took about 5 months to make it because the craftsman wanted to be perfect.Before selling it, the craftsman had a special spell put on it.Yumi's father bought the sword and planned on giving it to their son but on the day he was going to give it to him the village was destroyed.
Yumi came back to the village at the age of 16 and went to her home. When she went into the house she look at the sword and it had a note on it. 'This sword requires dedication, so if you don't use it with the proper skill, it could end up hurting you'.
While learning to be a demon slayer they learned that certain types of poison can either flush a demon out from their hiding place or can be used to kill them. Yumi used her sword a lot so she thought why not coat it in poison.
