Name: Nakamura Misenko
Race: Half Fox Demon
Profession: Wanderer
Powers/Abilities
Maou no Ran (魔王の嵐) [Devil's Storm]: If she has enough energy and concentration, Misenko can act with surprising speed, whether running, jumping, swimming, or even fighting. However, it all dies down once she loses her concentration or runs out of energy, and although her normal speed is quite swift, this ability will most likely overwhelm her if used for too long.
Kuro Sakura (黒桜) [Black Sakura]: If in a serious case of danger, Misenko will drop to her knees, holding out her double-bladed Naginata, the end touching the ground/floor/whatever she's on, and begin to chant 'Ai no Gi' (愛の義) [Love's Honour] quietly to her weapon repeatedly. As she does so, a black-purple 'waterfall' quickly seeps from the end of the blades, cascading over her body and anything/one else she decides to protect. Misenko will not stop chanting until she is fully protected. This shield is almost impenetrable, unless if the opponent is outrageously powerful, or worse- she moves the Naginata, thus distrupting the shield.
Weapon name: Hiren (悲恋) [Tragic Love]
Appearance: Clicky
Power: See 'Kuro Sakura'. It also emits a dark purple glow around the bladed areas.
Limitations: Hiren is larger and longer than the average Naginata, with two blades at the end instead of one. Though extremely fit for attacking or defending a rather great number of opponents, it is more useful for long-ranged attacks and defenses, due to its size and length. When in use for short-ranged attacks/defenses, however, Misenko undeniably feels uncomfortable in the arms.
History: Hiren was, at first, unnamed. Forged by five of Misenko's sword-smith friends who were also part of the Sen Nakao Hana, it was originally intended to be single-bladed. However, when the five sword-smiths saw that a Naginata's supposed to be single-bladed, they then decided to add in another blade, just to let Misenko feel special. As soon as they were finished, Hiren was then passed to a girl named Takiyama (滝山), who graced the Naginata with the finishing touches by decorating and painting it. Afterwards, the weapon was finally presented to Misenko by the six of them. Misenko immediately loved it.
One day, when Misenko was on a short hunting trip, she entered a dark forest. Unsure where she was, she began to panic, and, while she tried to find the way back out, tripped over her own feet, releasing her hands in shock. The Naginata fell with a splash into a stream... at least, it seemed like a stream. It was darker than the normal colour of water, with a faint violet shade. Instead of running away in horror, however, Misenko plunged her arms in, and, after fifteen minutes of frantic searching, at last pulled out her precious two-bladed Naginata. But it wasn't the same. The blades glowed dark purple, though they did not harm her when she touched them. As much as she tried to get rid of the strange glow, it would not leave, and in the end, she decided to just leave it like that, soon finding out that she could conjure up a strong shield from the Naginata if she repeatedly chanted 'Ai no Gi'.
At the news of the Sen Nakao Hana's leader's death, Misenko was thunderstruck. Wanting to honour his memory in some way, she named the Naginata 'Hiren', or 'Tragic Love', as she had had feelings for him for two years straight.
