The old man glared at Kouga starting to lose patience with the boy. He patted the injured leg. "I'm sure there are many ways to erase memories," he said, slowly bringing himself to stand, his hand reaching and touching his back as he hunched over. "A demon would be able to do such a thing. The details of it isn't very clear of course." He arched his back, the joints in his back cracking as he groaned in discomfort. "Whatever it was it is evil I can assure you of that."
"Hey, wait you can't go in there!"
"The hell I can, get out of my way Kagome!" The bamboo mat hung over the door was pushed aside as a middle-aged man passed through. "Dad, I-" he paused, his eyes landing on the visitor. "What'd I tell you about letting random people here! He's a demon!" he pointed before he was kicked to the floor with Kagome hovering over the door. "Sorry oujii-san. He got word of Kouga from the others."
The old man stared at her oddly. "Are you normally this violent?" she only shrugged and glanced at Kouga. Maybe he had the answer for her.

"Uhm... No...
" He watched Kagome, staring at her wide eyed for a moment as he tested out his leg. Grumbling a thanks he hopped to his feet. His leg still hurt like a bitch, but at least he could stand on it. Sort of. Wobbling a bit he glared down at the man Kagome had kicked and growled. " This your son ol' man?" Kouga didn't really care. But he figured if the boy tried anything funny to Kagome he should know. " I've never seen you hurt another person, Kagome... Besides, InuYasha." He chuckled lightly, a wide grin spreading across his lips at the thought of Inu being thrown into the ground repeatedly. " Well, except for bad demons, but you normally stay far away and attack with your arrows." He turned back to the two men and glared. " Anything you need? Otherwise we're leaving?" He had to show his 'gratitude' somehow.
Low on muse. x-x Sorry. [/blockquote]

Kagome frowned, staring at Kouga as his words sank in. She was taken back by what he said. Brows furrowing she was troubled as the words continued to swirl in her mind. She leaned against the door frame, her eyes falling onto the floor as she took a step back. She wasn't this violent? Then why did she have the urge to do them then?
But...then why did his words seem so true? Why did it bother her so much? Why was her heart thumping so hard? She gasped, the thumping of her heart suddenly echoing in her brain, about to push out of her ears until the talking around her was nothing more then incoherent mutterings, so far away. The pulse got louder and she stumbled back, her head pounding and her sight suddenly blurry. "Kou...ga..." she choked out his name, dropping onto her knees as the old man rushed to her side, taking out a bag from his pocket, shouting out orders to his son.
Everything was hazy as her heart pounded, fighting against the chains constricting her mind and her chest. Retaliation in reminding who she really was. "Start the water, get it boiling!" she could hear the old man, his son clumsily grabbing the pots and cups, getting water from the corner and feeding the fire in the fire place.

Unsure of what to do, Kouga simply stood beside Kagome and watched. His instinct was to lean beside her, help her through her pain, but his broken leg prevented him from much of that casanova dropping to one knee and helping the damsel in distress.
Not to mention, Zuki's face continually popped into his head.
But he stood beside her, surprised when his name left her lips and even more surprised at how quickly the old man acted. "U-Uh. What can I do? Can I do something?
" He suddenly felt like a little kid again. Watching Granny give out orders to her men before they went hunting, scouting, even before a battle. And how he would go to his brothers and sisters, his other cub mates and do the same thing. Only to be reprimanded by Granny later. And told what a horrible job he was doing. It made him feel insignificant. Made him feel like he was worthless. He didn't like to feel that way. And right now he was. Without waiting for a reply, Kouga left the tiny hut the three were working in. Not wanting to be in the way, And not wanting to feel useless. At least outside he could make sure no monsters or demons bothered anyone. Like any would... Snarling he sat at the small bench just outside of the hut. Growling and glaring at any humans who treaded to close for his liking. His ears were perked the entire time. Listening in on the activity of the hut, as he pretended to give a damn. The villagers watched Kouga warily, walking hastily passed him and jumping away at his growls and glares. Inside, the water was at a boil, and the man poured it into a cup in which dried leaves were placed. Kagome breathed deeply, the old man watching over her as he gestured for the cup. He took it quickly from his son, handing it to Kagome who accepted with shaky hands. Her gaze was intent on the man and he gawked at the red tint in her normally brown eyes. She drank heavily gasping for breathe when the cup was drained.
The old man stared at her, unsettled by the image of those red eyes. She stared back, her eyes now a dark brown as she dropped the cup, muttered something about being tired, and moved to the far end of the hut onto a mat that had been laid out. The old man was still, letting out the breathe he had been holding in as Kagome slept. His son forgotten, he slowly got his brain to work again and limped out the entrance and gazing around until his eyes fell on Kouga.
"She's sleeping..." The old man said softly. He brought himself up to sit on the bench. "Your friend...just might be possessed," he shuddered, "It's subtle...and I'm not positive, but...it could be that way." he nodded to his own conclusion. He sighed, about to say something more when he was cut off by a bucket flying past his face and hurled toward Kouga. The assailant's name was declared by the old man, "Ame! What are you doing?!" he choked, gawking at the defiant little girl who glared at the big scary wolf.
"Mommy and Daddy are scared of you! I'm not scared, I'm going to get rid of you for Mommy and Daddy!" Ame had another bucket beside her and she grabbed it, chunking it at Kouga. "Go away!" another object was grabbed by her tiny hands but the old man moved forward, trying to stop her
"Ame, stop this nonsense at once!"
"But Ojiisan-"
"No buts!!"
"...but Ojiisan!!" OOC: Bucket throwing little girl is for Tsuzuki!

"Possessed?" The word tasted weird on his lips. Kouga wasn't used to bizarre things happening around him anymore. He had his family, and they were weird enough to last a few lifetimes, but nothing like possessions. What the hell could be in Kagome anyways? He was a demon. Did that mean something like him was in her as well?
"What exactly does that mea-" Kouga's question was stopped short as a bucket of stinky, slimy, water was thrown at his head. Because he hadn't been paying attention to much else then his own thoughts, the assaulting bucket did in fact hit him square in the face. His lap becoming soaked in slimy water. Growling he stood up, flashing his fangs to the young girl and his left eye twitching.
But he didn't do anything. Instead he let the old man take care of the girl, his eyes grazing the ground before him as he let his thoughts take over. After a few moments he stared up at the girl, sending her a piercing glare as he tried to get the old man's attention. "Oy! Old man! What do you mean she's possessed? What does that mean?"

Midoriko and Miyuki silently walked down the path, they would be comming to a village soon. Midoriko had felt a calling to it and Miyuki didn't mind where she went as long as she found her sibbling.
"Quicken your pace, Miyu-imouto-chan. I feel something out of place." Midoriko said before quickening her own pace.
Miyuki stumbled a bit, but rushed after the priestess. She remembered to keep her pace at a human one, she didn't want to blow the cover her ribbon around her arm provided.
Midoriko and Miyuki walked into the village. Some of the older villagers stopped and gasped, recognising Midoriko somehow and remembering the rumors of her revival.
Miyuki moved a bit behind Midoriko, a bit intimidated by the crowd.
"Greetings, I am Priestess Midoriko..." Miyuki zoned out as Midoriko made their introductions. She could smell another demon... Wolf demon.
"Midori-Nee-chan" Miyuki murmered, pulling lightly on the priestess's sleeve and staring in the direction the scent was comming from. She was more curious then anything, she just wanted to know where the scent was comming from.
Midoriko glanced in the direction that Miyuki was staring off at. "There is a demon here?" She asked. She could feel both the demonic and pure aura's comming from the same direction.
Midoriko glanced toward the villagers. "May I? Investigate for myself that is." She asked.
"O-of course Priestess!" one of the villagers stuttered. The villager hurriedly led both Priestess and Hanyou to the hut.
The villager knocked. "Priestess Midoriko and her companion wish to enter!" he announced.
Miyuki rolled her eyes, "he must feel so proud of himself." she thought disdainfully. She peered from behind Midoriko, curious to see what was within the hut.
