History
Detailed Personal History:
Sayo was born in the modern era, and went to the same highschool Kagome did. She was very into technology, and despite being the least outspoken and the most modest, she was also the most artistic and nearly the smartest. And even though she sounds like a geek, she was very active physically too. She was in track, tennis, and basketball, and was the star on each team. She was actually very popular, but decided to hang back, behind her friends. When she was sixteen, she had a crush on a boy named Motoki, who had short black hair and kind blue eyes. Surprisingly, he was the one who asked her out first. For the better part of a year, they dated, until one fateful day, when Sayo caught him cheating on her. She was so distressed, she didn't go home that day, instead began wandering alleyways, lost in thought and emotion.
Later, when the moon shone high overhead, she decided to go home, thinking her parents would be worried. Before she could, however, a large, burly man grabbed ahold of her, covering her mouth and hauling her away to some god forsaken place. She was raped and beaten, and about a week afterward, a ransom note was sent to her parents, who didn't exactly have to money. They begged to have their daughter back, but they were both shot for their "insolence", as the men called it, and soon they planned on killing Sayo as well. But as shocking as it might have sounded, Motoki arrived on the scene. He had been stressing over her disappearance, and since his father was a police officer, he pressed for an investigation with Sayo's parents. Just as the gun fired, -- at Sayo -- he jumped in the way of the bullet. It hit his neck, and imbedded itself into his spinal cord, and another was shot and it hit his heart. He was killed instantly.
Now, if Sayo had ever been terrified or dismal, now she was. She tore away from the rope that held her bound, burning her wrists and muscles, as she kneed the man and ran, ran for her life. Being the famous runner she was, she outran the men even with her hands still bound. She ran and ran, finally reaching the Higurashi Shrine. She prayed to god she would be able to get away, and she bounded up the stairs, and once at the top, over her labored breathing, she could hear the shouts of men behind her. She continued on, disappearing into the wellhouse. She found a sharp object -- she didn't know what it was; it was dark -- and cut the rope, and jumped into the well, not knowing as she was sapped into a blue-black portal to fuedal Japan. She must have lain in the Bone-Eater's well for hours; believing she was still in the modern era, but when she finally crawled out, she found herself surronded by by trees. She was in the Forest of Inuyasha.
She stumbled about the forest for hours, or could it have been days? But when she was found by Kaede, she was nearly starved to death, wearing rags for clothes. Of course, Kaede recognized the clothing as from Kagome's era, and Sayo resorted to explaining to whole story. Kaede nursed her back to health. When Sayo was finally better again, despite a broken heart, she began trainng with Kaede, soon learning of her powers as a miko. Surprised, she discovered her telekinesis, mind reading, and teleportation abilities. She later turned seventeen, and started traveling, wearing a priestess's clothing and wielding a plain bow.
