Detailed personality description:
For hundreds of years Yuna had a hard time speaking to other people because she didn't want to get close to anyone. She didn't want to have to go through even more pain when they died and left her alone once more. However, her cold shell was broken when she met an Earth Elemental demon by the name of Jiro. Without her knowing it he managed to break through the walls she kept around her heart and get her to open up and even to love him. But when he and their son was killed, along with everyone else in their village, she once again shut herself off.
She eventually let herself be open to love again, when she married the half-demon Naraku, and had two children by him, Asuma and Amara. But after her daughter's supposed death, and her son began to change into something that she actually feared, she began to see things more clearly. She had been blinded by the want for love, but not love itself.
She is a very compassionate person who cares deeply for her family and friends, and will do anything for them, even risk her life. She wants nothing more than the happiness of those she loves, and will stop at almost nothing to make them happy.

Detailed Personal History:
Five hundred years ago Yuna lived at a temple with her parents, learning the ways of a priestess, as well as the ways of a lady. However, on the day of 18th birthday a demon attacked, killing her father. The demon wanted her mother to give him the sword she carried because it would help to give him ultimate power. Her mother refused, giving the sword to Yuna, telling her not to ever let anyone have it no matter what. Ten minutes later she was dead, orphaning her daughter. Yuna tried to go up against the demon, wielding the sword she had just been given. She was able to keep the demon from killing her and taking the sword, but the demon ended up cursing her to eternal life, telling her that he would be the only one to ever kill her.
She went on a long journey to become stronger. She succeeded, at a price. Somehow she had been made immortal by the demon that had killed her parents, dooming her to an eternity in the body of a eighteen year old. Four hundred years later she met a demon by the name of Jiro. Now he was an Earth Elemental demon, who was the leader of his village. Somehow he managed to get through the walls she put around her heart, and she fell in love with him. They had one child, whom they both loved dearly.
However, one day, when she was at another village healing the sick, a great band of weasel demons attacked her home. She returned in time to see her son killed and Jiro deep in battle with the leader of the weasels. She herself was attacked, and wounded greatly. Sadly, her attack distracted her love long enough for the weasel to kill him as well. Afterward the weasels left, thinking all were dead. Yuna buried the dead and left, once again closing her heart off.
Somehow she once again fell in love, or perhaps just a deep lust, for the half-demon Naraku, after meeting someone who claimed he was their son from the future. She and Naraku had a child of their own, Asuma, just before Naraku was killed. For eight years she raised the boy as her powers grew steadily weaker. Finally she learned that Naraku was alive once more, and the two married.
When Asuma was an adult, he, Yuna, and one of Naraku's servants went on a journey to complete something that she had been too afraid to do before. She managed to destroy the sword that had caused her so much grief all those years before, and was still somehow alive, and somehow immortal. Afterward she left Naraku, no longer able to stay with him once she realized how much she still loved Jiro.
Since then she has once again become a traveling priestess, helping those in need.
