Sure you may have made some mistakes that you're not proud, but maybe you sould look at all the good things. For one, we may have never have met on good terms, you wouldn't be married to Kouga--even though I think that's a total big screw up but whatever--, you have wonderful children--powerful children I have to add--, if you did live to be a normal wolf demon you'd just be some damn wolf who was weak and unimportant.
