Detailed Personality Description ||
Despite their naturally pretty outward appearances, Rei and Kuma have quite dark souls. They are playful and witty and almost always laugh, either at themselves or others. But while they enjoy the beauty of nature and remakr upon the brightness of others, inside their have their own dirty little secrets.
Rei is usually happier than Kuma, always smiling and giggling. Her love for animals and the like keep her occupied in forests and streams, usually she’s spotted in trees listening to the sounds of different birds and mimicking them. She sweet and gentle, ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who asks and almost always pranking on her sister.
Kuma is more quiet and withdrawn. She is still always seen with a smile on her face and a happy bounce to her step, but she also appears sadder in appearance and attitude. Her time is spent in the shadows where she practices weaving the air into shapes and sounds. She is sweet like her sister but is also very blunt and can come off as rather bitchy to those who don't know her well. And she, of course, loves to prank her sister back.
Both of the girls however had a deep love for pain and destruction. An art form quite forgotten in our time. The way a fire crackles and casts shadows upon walls intrigue them, and the different color flames it can produce excite them. They don't necessarily enjoy tormenting others, or hurting them specifically, but they take pleasure in the emotion the dying express. As well as the emotion the grieving have. During times of war they travel aimlessly around battlefields, watching the men die, some may see them as angels before passing, as the wicked see the demons they are bound to join.

Rei and Kuma are both air sprites, born from the same forest and because of their remarkably close appearances are considered to be twins by all others. They themselves agree with others and stay as close as possible to one another, almost always finishing thoughts and sentences and able to feel the other’s pain or sorrow.
Rei was born from the dew of a red rose petal and grew up alone in a small grove of trees. Her life was always peaceful and bright, sun above and green grass below. Her thoughts however always strayed from the beauty around her, to darker and more unpleasant things. Perhaps it was Kuma’s spirit already reaching out to her, or perhaps the golden life wasn’t everything Rei wanted. As time passed and as she grew older Rei left her small haven, taking on the world at her feet and searching for that darkness she felt.
Kuma was born from a broken root of an oak tree and as such has remained broken in personality since then. She did not grow up in the light of day, shadows constantly surrounded her and even during the winter, when shadows are scarce to find she was kept in the dark. But their always seemed to be a small part of her that was warm and glowing even as the rest of her felt as cold as stone. From tree root to full grown Sprite, Kuma left the forest she never loved and adventured forth into the world.
They met upon a battlefield some years after they left their homes, and by coming upon one other they stood shocked above a wounded man. As he groaned in pain it distracted them from their staring and focused their attention on him. They watched in fascinated curiosity as he died and with cocked heads once again glanced at each other. From that point on they were as close as sisters, closer even as they grew to know one another.
And as one filled the other with laughter, so did the other fill with sorrow. They saw the world in different views and gathered knowledge from each others experience. And now, some odd centuries later, Rei and Kuma live quite peacefully together, traveling the forests and singing songs in villages for money they spend on cloth and small trinkets.
