Blood was everywhere. It covered the once sandy colored dirt road that wound throughout the once pristine, beautiful village. The village had once been beautiful. In truth, it had beautiful, clean, without any blood at all, only hours before. And that was how Anko found it. The demon girl had grew enraged at the sight of all of the happiness and love the village held, and had completely lost control. Although admittedly, she probably would have lost control anyway. For Anko loved to kill, and her favorite kills were people who were innocent. She hated the innocent more than anything else.
And that was truly saying something, for she hated everything about this godforsaken land. She hated anything that lived and breathed, and no matter how weak or innocent the creature/person was, she would kill them. After all, her favorite hobby was killing. The demoness smirked slightly as she looked down at her most recent handiwork, and the final kill. Now no one was left alive in the village; at least no one that she could find. She had completely annihilated every last elder, man, woman, child, and all of the animals as well, for she could not allow them to escape with their lives either.
Anko lowered her gaze to the long sword in her hand and her smirk grew. "Well done, my precious... well done... We have done it again, my love," she whispered lovingly, stroking the blood stained blade with the fingertips of her free hand. Her voice was eerie in the growing dusk, and the only sound that could be heard in the village. It was a soft voice, and still sounded so much like the child that she resembled. However, the cold, and twisted quality it held revealed how truly insane it's owner was.
She continued to stroke the blade, before raising her now blood covered fingers to her mouth. She gazed at them for a few moments, marveling by how lovely the blood was. She laughed, flicking her eyes to the dead child in front of her. The child--a young girl--must not have been more than twelve, the age that Anko was when she had first become a demon. Brining her hand to her lips, she reached out her tongue and licked the blood. "Mmm... Anko just loves the taste of a child's blood... so much better than any other kind...."
{{Okay, I know this is pretty weird... but I had to start somewhere with her, and since she's insane, I thought this sounded kind of realistic. Anyway, I'm sorry. ><}}

Death was something that Akio had no care for, blood and the dead strangled bodies never bothered her. She had been trained to not let something like that get in the way of her job, so it was no shock that she would not even blink at the site of the blood bathed village. Walking around she went over the object that she was suppose to do, while Chifatsu just sniffed at the arm of child wrinkling his nose.
~few hours ago~
Light foot steps made their way up the stone stairs to the court yard of a noble man. She had been called here by the request of a human lord, despite the fact the she was a demon the lord had no choice. Padded feet made their way, as the Panther bared his teeth at the guards laughing when they would cringe back in fear of the demon. His deep laugh rang through the court yard, frightening the humans even more. A woman who looked only around the age of 16 made her way to were the lord sat, a fan in his hand he narrowed his eyes as the commander had the men on the walls of the court yard ready their bows. Chifatsu only chuckled at the silly attempt, he knew Akio would try to kill the lord with out a reason after all he was going to give her a job and she loves her job. Fanning himself more with the fan in one hand he had two guards with a heavy chest full of money walk up opening up the chest. He looked at the demoness as she just silently watched not even blinking with her emotionless expression. “Demoness I ask of you to get rid of a terrible demon for me,” he said with a hint of nervousness. Akio just kept looking at him, not giving any response. The lord just gulped, he was very young since his father died sometime ago framed for the slaughtering of another lord and his guards. He was inexperienced and wasn’t ready for things like this, but he had to do his duty for his people. He had sent many other assassins in attempt at killing the terrible demon, but they always never returned. He knew he had no choice but to ask for help from a demon, a demon strong enough to kill the demon. “I have heard many things about you, mercenary,” “I hope it’s good things,” Chifatsu said with a chuckle, the lord just tensed at the voice of the panther turning his eyes slowly at the panther before turning it back to Akio. “I heard you were an expert in exterminating demons,” he said with uncertainty, Akio finally cast her gaze from the lord to the chest then back. “I don’t just kill demons,” she said quietly with her expressionless face still there. The lord nodded, waving the two guards to put the chest down in front of Akio and Chifatsu. Chifatsu just put his two paws onto the chest looking over them to make sure they were legit. “Then you will take the job,” he asked Akio just nodded before turning her back to get to work. The lord just blinked unsure as to why she had left the chest, Chifatsu just started backing up slightly following Akio. “Um… we’ll came back for it later,” he said before disappearing with Akio.
~back to present~
Akio just stepped on a human skull, crushing it not even noticing it, her main objection was eliminating the demon. It’s not that she had anything against the demon, it was just that is was her mission. Akio took her mission very seriously, nothing got in the way of it Chifatsu knew that. With that they made their way to the main part of the village, Chifatsu alert for anything while Akio just walked without a single sound being made with her emotionless face there. It didn’t matter to her, she had lost her heart a long time ago.
((hn.. That okay, I’ve always wanted to do those flashback things x3))

Alone had always been the way that Anko traveled, caring for no one but herself. She had long ago lost the final shred of sanity that she had tried to retain after watching her parents murder visitors to their village. She had tried hard to forget, but after they tried to kill her as well, she had lost it. After killing them, she had gone on to kill the rest of the village. That was the birth of her first and foremost personality, 'Dark Anko'.
Her 'light' side, the side of her that still retained some of the childlike innocence from before her first kill, only came out when she was unable to stop it. Now was one such time. Her light, good side had come out, and had at once noticed the plethora of blood covering everything. First her lips quivered, a telltale sign of tears to come. Then her clenched her fists, and finally burst into tears, her sobs a horrible sound like grating metal. They were the sort of sobs that could easily be referred to as...unearthly.
Her light side was terrified of blood, and hated it more than anything else in the world. However, she was still known to have killed with this personality. Both of her personalities had a fascination with death, though her light side less so. The light Anko was so caught up with crying, that she didn't hear another's approach.

As the two made their way, they found a little girl crying. Without another word Akio made her way to the girl, standing before the little girl she clicked her two blue bracelets together. In a light blue flash, a bluish glaive appeared as she twirled it around before holding it up in a fashion to stab it into the girl. Chifatsu just looked at Akio then back at the crying girl, he jumped forward and bite Akio making the two sprawl to the ground. Akio just glared at Chifatsu and his action’s this was the demon, she was sure of it. All of the human’s blood were on her, she even had a weapon with her covered in the scent of the bloods as well.
“She’s just a girl,” Chifatsu growled not about to let his grip on her go. Akio just glared even more, casting her gaze to the girl. Akio wasn’t one to talk much, she talked with simple gestures and body movements. “She’s just probable lost, and has no idea as to why she’s doing this. There could be a lot of reasons for this,” Letting go he walked over to the girl, sniffing her and sat down by her waiting for the girl to stop crying. Akio just got up, picking Toushi from the ground she just stood there ready for anything that the Girl would do. For now she would wait, in till Chifatsu got it through his head that this girl was insane and death could only be her cure. She just kept a emotionless look on her face, as her arms were crossed while Chifatsu had a look of worry on his face.

The light side of Anko stared down at the weapon in her small hands, tears still streaming down her face. "Precious how could you do such a thing? It is so cruel... those poor people..." She spoke softly and quickly, before letting out a heart wrenching sob. She balled her fists up and rubbed them against her eyes, trying to wipe away the tears in an attempt that could only be called futile, since the tears remained.
"Anko, don't be so weak," she muttered, her voice harsher. "You're such a crybaby. I don't know why I don't just kill you. It would be so much easier. Then I wouldn't have to put up with all of your tears." This made the girl shiver violently, although it was herself speaking. To her, it was a stranger, and not her other, crueler personality. She shivered again and shook her head, "No, leave me alone. Anko doesn't like you, go away!' She knew that telling the voice in her head to go away would probably do no good, since it never did seem to help. All the same, she still felt that she should try.
"They want to kill us, Anko. Anko did bad things. They want to punish us." That was when Anko looked up and noticed the two strangers, one of them holding a weapon. Her eyes widened in fear. "P-please don't hurt Anko... Anko didn't mean to do anything..." She was glad that for once, her other personality didn't have anything to say.
{{Hehe..okay, explanation time. Italics are the 'good' Anko speaking, and no italics are the bad.}}

Chifatsu shivered at what the little girl said, maybe Akio was right. Moving forward a little he tried his best not to spook the little. “Hello little one, what is your name, my name is Chifatsu” he said in the softest voice he could with his ruff deep voice. Looking over his shoulder he gave Akio the motion that she put her weapon away. Akio just stared back at Chifatsu with a blank look, not about to put her weapon away. Chifatsu just growled mentally, that girl could be so disobedient sometimes she’s all work and no play. For once he’d like to see the woman smile a little bit, even a smirk anything but that emotionless face. Stopping he put his head down, looking up at the girl with soft concerned eyes. “It’s alright I’m not going to hurt you little one,” he said softly again. Akio just turned her head away, looking at the bright red blood puddle near by. She could see her reflection, she had blue hair and icy cold blue eyes to go with her attitude. She wore a black dress that slit at her hips, and her black shoes. She would normally have two blue bracelets on her arms, but when she’s using Toushi they aren’t there. While Chifatsu was just a big white ice Panther demon with his big blue eyes.

"A-Anko... Anko wants to be good... good so that mommy won't kill Anko... but she keeps making me do horrible things..." With that another round of tears began, staining her already bloodstained dress even further. She wished that voice in her head would just leave her alone... all she wanted was to be a good girl, as mommy and daddy had told her so long ago... To her it didn't seem nearly as long as it had been in actuality. She had completely lost track of time so long ago that she couldn't remember the exact amount of time. To her it only seemed as though a few years had passed since she became a demon.
"S-she's always there, whispering, telling Anko what to do... she never goes away..." Even at that moment, she was just waiting until her evil side returned to start telling her to kill again. Her other personality had even told her that her parents were to blame for all of this, although she didn't believe her. Her parents had always been so good to her.

“Shhh shhh, it’s going to be ok,” Chifatsu said softly, walking closer to the little girl curling around her to comfort the child. Chifatsu could tell that the little girl was going through a lot, but what exactly could done this to the little girl. Trauma from something long ago, the death of her parents perhaps. He wasn’t exactly sure as to what to do, he had never dealt with something like this. Unless you count Akio’s ice cold heart, then he can do nothing he’s tried many things for Akio but nothing seemed to work.
Akio just stood there, finally having enough she walked forward. Glaive raised up she was ready to kill the little child, Chifatsu looked at Akina and growled. Akio gave no reaction to the growl, taking the glaive in two hands she poised the blade to the child. “…Away…,” she said quietly to Chifatsu, the panther got up and jumped at Akio. Taking Toushi she used the staff part of the glaive to push Chifatsu away twirling it in her hands she strike at Anko, she was not going to fail her mission.

Her eyes widened as the glaive was swung towards her. She was going to die, she knew it. Except she didn't die. Her other personality took over, raising the large sword up to meet the glaive. "Stupid Anko... letting herself be so weak and pathetic... now Anko must use precious to save stupid Anko...." By this time she didn't even notice that she was no longer making any sense with her words. This Anko was not nearly as kind as the other. She loved blood, and would stop at nothing to kill.
A twisted smirk played with her lips as she got up, jumping a few feet away from the others. "Anko will talk with Anko later," she hissed under her breath menacingly, in such a way that would make her kind side quake with fear. She smirked again, tilting her head to the side so that her long blond hair fell over her right shoulder. "This Anko will not so easily be killed."

Chifatsu grunted when he hit the ground, trying to get up he ended up falling down in the end. He was to old for this kind of treatment, looking around his world started to swirl. Closing his eyes he took deep breaths trying to regain his stamina, a little frightened at the sudden change to the girls personality. There could be a chance that the girl had some personality disorder from because of something.
Akio just looked at the girl with her blank expression, pulling her glaive behind her she ran forward with a great speed. Rushing over to the girl she threw a kick then back flipped trying to land a kick while doing so. Moving to the side with grace, she kept a blank look through out the whole thing as she sliced her glaive at the girl. Akio took her missions seriously, it’s all she ever knew to be exact. She was only a little child when she was taught the ways of a mercenary, so it stuck to her like a germ.

Anko could easily tell that this person knew what she was doing. She wasn't like the simple villagers that the girl had just got done killing. This one definitely knew how to fight. She was glad, because she hadn't had a good fight in some time. She was tempted though, to let her other self out just so that she could see the girl squirm. That was the only thing besides killing that she truly loved more than anything else in the world. She loved to make her other self upset, and then to yell at her.
Bringing up her sword, she blocked the blow with no trouble at all. If this was all that this woman had, then this fight wouldn't last nearly as long as she wished it to. She laughed softly, "You're going to have to do much better than that to kill Anko." She hoped that if she prodded this--mercenary, maybe?--woman, then perhaps she could get a better fight out of her. She only had to ensure that she could stay in control and not revert back to her weaker self. That stupid girl would get herself killed far too easily. "You're so weak, unable to even kill a little girl like Anko."

Akio didn’t reply to the Anko’s comment she just kept her blank expression on, turning her glaive to her other hand she ran forward. Stopping a few feet away from Anko she let out a barrage of ice shards, then it a flash she was on the other side of the girl letting another barrage of tiny ice shards at the little girl. For three minutes none stop she would send some tiny ice shards at the girl to in a second later send another on the other side of the girl. Rotating around the girl with great speed, skidding to a stop she jumped back and put her glaive in front of her.
Akio knew that a few cuts from her ice shards wouldn’t be much damage but a great hold of cut could end up making the girl bleed to death, besides she needed to test out the girls reflexes and speed. It’s the best way to find out if her special attack would work, giving a brief glance to see if Chifatsu was okay she found not a trace of the panther.
A few yards away a white panther dragged himself away from the battle to a much more safer spot. He was in no condition to be anywhere a battle, slumping to the floor Chifatsu groaned. Though Akio had pushed him away with her staff part of her glaive, she had hit his soft spot hard with it. He was only going to rest here for the moment in till it was okay to go back to the battle, Chifatsu wasn’t so sure but her just sudden urge to help out the little girl.

She had wanted a tougher fight, and that was exactly what she had gotten. Although now that she had it, she wasn't sure she wanted it. Anko smirked slightly. She sure did know how to be undecided, and how to change her mind quickly. At the moment she was wishing that she could just take back all of the killings she had just done, if only so that she didn't have to be in this fight now. She had already worn herself out from killing the villagers--she wasn't exactly in top condition, which she was starting to think she might need to be in.
Dodging the glaive was simple enough, but the ice shards had taken their toll. Though each cut was minor, and there was no way that any of them could kill her, each one had sapped a bit more of her strength. Gritting her teeth, she started to recede into her own mind, letting her weaker self take over. If she was going to be killed, she wanted to die as her more pathetic self, so that she wouldn't technically be the one to get herself killed.
Almost as soon as the good Anko was back in control, she gasped, barely getting out of the way of a blow from the mercenary's weapon. She held the blade in her hands clumsily, not used to the large weapon. The biggest thing she had killed in this form was a fairly small demon--not a very big accomplishment. And now, she wasn't even sure what was going on. Why was she being attacked? Had her evil self done something horrible to this woman?

Akio closed her eyes, concentrating on her surrounding hoping that there was something that she could use to help her out. The only times she had ever used this attack was in an environment that helped her elemental powers. Taking a deep breath she tried to sap some water from the air and ground, even from the blood. Once gathering what she needed, she was thankful that there something to work with. And thanks to the girls size she didn’t have to use much of it, suddenly a light blue glow glowed at her hands and her hair started to raise up. Moving her glaive to one side and her other arm to the other, thrust her hand forward.
“Ice Prison,” she said softly but in a harsh commanding tone. Her hand shone brightly as did her eyes, soon the water from the air started to form and from the blood. The water shot towards Anko, circling around her it created a dome then it froze. Keeping her hand in front of her, placed her glaive to her back.
After finally recovering from his stat of being he ran towards the battle, intended on helping the little girl. With a quick flash he was there to see Akio use Ice Prison, thank fully she didn’t send the ice spikes at the girl within the dome. If that happened the girl would definitely die, they maybe small spiked but after a few hundred of them they take their toll and kill you from blood loss. Taking a deep breath Chifatsu let out a deep blue fog at the two.
“Haze” Slowly the fog crept at Akio, then it came towards to Anko seeping into the dome. Akio started to shake as she fought to stay awake, silently cursing at Chifatsu she fell to her knees and dropped to the side she closed her eyes as she fell into a deep sleep. The haze was something that would make them fall asleep and gratefully it made Akio sleep. But her was unsure about Anko, it should have because Akio did; he couldn’t see through the haze or through the ice dome.

The ice felt as though it was closing in around her, though the girl knew that it was not. She was having trouble breathing, almost as though she had just run a long while, though she also knew the reason for that as well. She shivered slightly, letting go of the sword so that she could wrap her arms around herself. As soon as the sword had fallen to the ground, she immediately felt at least marginally better; safer. That thing always scared her, though she knew she was probably just being naive.
The voice in her head... was her. Even though she realized that, she hadn't been able to get rid of it. It always seemed like another person, because she couldn't believe that a person that cruel was a part of her. She always wondered if something had happened to her in the past that had made her like this, but she just couldn't remember no matter how hard she tried. Occasionally she had dreams...nightmares where she saw her parents killing, and then they tried to kill her. But Anko wasn't sure if those were real, or just figments of her imagination that her darker side was trying to scare her with.
When the fog began to seep into the prison of ice, she had to bite her lower lip to keep from screaming. Why was this happening to her? Were they going to try and scare her to death? Because at the moment, that seemed like a possibility. She felt her eyelids growing heavy, and a sudden tiredness watch over her. Sleep sounded like a good idea to her, if not for the fact that whenever she tried to sleep, she always woke up covered in blood. But no matter how hard she tried to fight it, a few moments later she collapsed.
