Miyako sighed, collapsing on the ground. This was getting her nowhere. There hadn't been a person on this road for hours, and the sun was getting higher. Right now, it was directly above her, beating mercilessly down. This is hopeless... she thought, picking small rocks out of the soles of her sandels where they'd become wedged during her travels. What sort of priestess am I if there's no one for me to help? Sighing again, she stood up and began to slowly make her way down the road. It didn't help that the nearest town was at least another hour or so away.
Miyako let her thoughts wander...never a good thing when one is walking alone down a deserted road. She knew she should snap out of it; she had to be on her guard in case a demon appeared. But she couldn't exactly help it. She'd been trained as a priestess, and now that she was out looking for work, none was to be found. The young miko found herself wondering if her dear, lost older brother was faring any better, but scolded herself for the thought. Her teacher had told her that her brother was most likely dead...killed by the demons who had kidnapped her. But, Miyako was adamant that that was not the case. Eventually, her teacher had given up trying to convince the young child otherwise.
"Ow!" she started, tripping over a large rock that stood in the middle of the dirt path. "Ow....." she sat down on the offending stone and took off her sandel to rub the pain away from the hurt foot.

A young man came walking down the road carrying his staff that was rested against his shoulder. His eyes came to the young women who was rubbing her foot on the ground."Are you Alright Priestess?'' He questioned her in a light tone as he bent down looking from left to right incase anything tried to attack or sneak up.He than looked back down to examine her foot."My Apologies i have been looking for my Lost family member,I am Mir-." He quickly rose up sensing something that was approaching.

"Huh?" Miyako asked quietly as a shadow appeared above her. Her eyes rose, meeting eyes of a similar color. "Um...I tripped over the rock.....I hope nothing's broken..." she added the last part with a groan, looking back down at her foot. Her eyes grew slightly as the man before her mentioned something about looking for someone, but narrowed again when he stopped. "What...." she asked, more to herself than anything. "That is a demonic aura..." she muttered, quickly slipping her sandel back on and standing shakily. "Doesn't seem that strong though...."
Even as she spoke, a demon leapt out from the bushes on the far side of the road. "Ah!" she screamed, jumping to stand on the rock. "Rat demon....." she gasped out, slowly reaching for the sutras she kept in her hidden pockets. "Huge....Rat....demon...." She held the charm out in front of her, using it sort of as a shield. She hated rat demons. She hated them more than the Hell Wasps that could poison her through her cursed hand. Throwing the sutra had little to no effect on the larger-than-normal youkai.
"Eep...." she gasped, slipping back off the rock. "Whew..." she sighed, managing to catch herself. "That's wierd....normally my charms will at least immobilize a demon that large....." What's going on...? Are my sutras not powerful enough? Should I have used a different one? She moved to stand behind the man. "God I hate rat demons......" she muttered aloud.

Miroku took a step forward toward the demon he held no fear in his eyes."Priestess stand way back." He raised his right hand toward the demon at the same time he pulled the pear chain off."WIND TUNNEL." He yelled out the words as the large demon began to get sucked up inside the empty void.He braced himself as the demon fought to hold onto the ground but this did not work ti was instantly sucked up into the pal of his hand.He than quickly placed the cloth and beads back over as he glanced toward the Priestess."Forgive me but like i was saying my name's Miroku." He smiled.

She did as instructed, clearly frightened of the demon. It had been a nest of great rat demons that had kidnapped her, so she reserved every right to be scared of them. Her eyes grew huge as the man sucked in the demon. "Oh......." she gasped, the strangest feeling coming over her. She collapsed back onto the ground, staring at the man.
"Mi..roku....?" she gasped out. "Really?" she glanced over him quickly. "You're a monk, right?" She knew she should probably stand up, but she was positive that if she did, she would immediatly fall back down. This could NOT be happenening....too good to be true. "I am Miyako..." she stated, attempting to keep her voice calm. "You said before you were looking for someone? Perhaps I will be able to help. I too, am searching for someone I lost long ago..." This was too wierd....too strange to be a coincidence. Don't be stupid! Who else could possibly have the Kazaana curse? she mentally berated herself. Shaking her head slightly to quell the thoughts, she attempted to stand. There was only one thing for it. She would have to wait and see where this went. Still, she couldn't help but wonder.....

"Miyako?'' Miroku starred toward the ground in deep thought they almost had the smae name."I-It cant be...My grandafather told me id meet someone with the same name as you and this was hours before he was sucked up by his own wind tunnel." He starred toward Miyako looking her over reminded him of his mother and father it had to be the sibling he was looking for."Yes I'm a demon slaying monk with a cursed wind tunnel." He explained before he turned away closing his eyes tightly he held back a bit of tears."I found you at last." He sighed.

Miyako stared in wonder. This really was happening.....her searching was over. "Someone...with the same name as me...?" she whispered. She listened quietly as he spoke. This was real. It had taken her years, but now it was all over. A small smile crossed her lips as the tears piled up behind her eyes. "It's been....years.....twelve long, lonely years...." she muttered, stepping forward to stand behind Miroku. "I'm so.....so sorry...." she said sadly, closing her eyes slowly and letting her joyful and sad tears fall. How could she be so happy, and yet so sad at the same time...? "I'm sorry.... oniisan...." Raising a hand to attempt to stem the flow of tears, she gazed in contempt at her own wind tunnel. Clenching that fist, she wiped her eyes on the sleeve of her kimono.
"How much further is the nearest villiage?" she asked quietly, raising her eyes. "It would be more appropriate to talk there...."

"The village is still too far away but if i remember right there is a hut out in the woods." Miroku had remembered this hut from when he had always been traveling with Inuyasha and his friends and now they barely spoke since Miroku had a new family. He slowly turned to face Miyako looking down toward her hand that she was clutching."This is surely the happiest day of my life...I've found you." He smiled in a sad but yet happy way toward her.

A hut? Well, it was better than standing out here...plus it would give her a chance to get off of her injured foot. "How far?" she asked. She hoped it wasn't too far, it was starting to feel as if she had sprained her ankle in her earlier fall. Her smile returned and widened ten-fold at his next words. She felt the same...she had never been so elated. Deciding that it was now or never...and she had always thought that it would be never, she practically threw herself forward.
"Again....I'm sorry....I should have tried harder to find my way back home...." she muttered, hugging Miroku. She really had tried her very hardest to return home, but she had been very young at the time. She had gotten lost so easily..... She moved to step back, realizing that she was probably acting childish.

Miroku couldnt help but blush at his younger sibling well only sibling. He hugged her back tightly not wanting to let go he had missed her and knew it had been the same way for her probably. He pointed over toward the ground of trees."It's just over hidden behind the trees." He paused for a moment wondering where Sango was."Infact i have two people id like you to meet." He said referring to his two sons who he had mentioned to her yet.

Miyako stepped back fully out of the long-awaited embrace. "That's lucky....I think I may have sprained my ankle," she sighed, looking down at her feet. The ankle did look a bit off-color... Damn, it hurt. "Hm? Who?" she asked, curiosity sifting into her voice. The young miko started off toward the trees on the side of the road, anxious for shade and a place to rest her ankle. "Is that the place?" she asked, turning back to her brother. There was a small building just a few feet ahead. Hanging onto a tree branch for support, she reached down and tried to get her ankle to stop aching. "Ow...." Yep. Definatly sprained...

Miroku placed Miyako's arm around his shoulder helping her along and into the hut.Stopping inside the door he starred down at the small bed where two small babies were sleeping."Like i said I'd like you too meet my two sons, Itachi and Masahiro." He bent down to pick both kids up after doing so he handed Itachi to Miyako.

Once inside the hut, Miyako's eyes widened. It seemed she couldn't get enough surprises in for one day. "Ah....." she gasped, carefully taking the child offered to her. "He's so precious....." Looking around, she located a chair and sat down. "How old are they? Where is their mother?" She looked down at the boy, suddenly feeling a small mixture of sadness and fright. No matter how much she tried to avoid the thought, it kept returning....With Naraku back.... She opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it again. She would not ruin this moment by voicing her traitorous thoughts.

"There a month or so old now! and their Mother is out slaying demons probably." Miroku also took a seat holding Masahiro who began to wake up and look are with his onyx colored eyes."They look just like me but they'll probably Inherite Sango's attitude." He smiled a bit as he glanced around.

Hearing one familiar voice, and one not-so-familiar one enter the small hut, the raccoon-dog jumped from where he'd been looking for food and landed on the floor with a *thud*. Slowly, he got up and dusted himself off as best he could before walking out to the main area, ignoring the fact that he was still slightly covered in something resembling baking flour.
"Master Miroku! You're back!" Hachi exclaimed, moving further into the room. "Who's this?" the tanuki asked, looking at the priestess.
