"She's a demon slayer?" Miyako asked, turning her eyes to Miroku. Were there still demon slayers around? Miyako had heard that the villiage had been destroyed....that there had been no survivors. Had the reports been mistaken? Her thoughts were cut off when her ankle throbbed again.
"Arg...." she hissed. "Is there anything around here that I could put on my ankle?" she asked, shifting Itachi in her arms so that she could examine the swollen joint. Her eyes shot upward at the new voice. "Uh....." she gasped, seeing the raccoon dog.

"Yes and the last of her village ebside her younger brother." Miroku quickly turned to see Hachi coming and into the hut."What are you covered in?'' He question the raccon dog with a half smile as he smiled toward Miyako."This is my sister,Miyako." He smiled a bit as he glanced away thinking about Sango and the others.

"Oh...that's so sad...." Miyako sighed. She could certainly relate, in any case. "During my training with Priestess Tara, I had heard that something had happened in the Demon Slayer village...." she reported, adding softly: "I had hoped it was not true.....For such a terrible thing to have happened......"
For some reason, she found herself staring between the tanuki and her brother. "Does he live here?" she asked Miroku, one eyebrow slightly raised in something between amusement and confusion.

Hachi looked down at his clothes. "Um...I think it's some of that "baking flower" that your friend Kagome left here...." he said, attempting again to brush it off. "It doesn't come off so easy," he lamented, sitting on the floor and looking at Miyako. "You never mentioned anything before about having a sister....." Hachi remarked, turning his gaze to his friend.

"Well Hachi i havent mentioned her to anyone i guess." Miroku turned slightly away he sat Mashiro down in his crib."Hachi has his own cave but he is welcome here anytime." He smiled in a light way as he turned toward Miyako."Please excuse us for a moment Hachi." With that Miroku stepped out of the hut snd into the woods hoping Miyako would follow.

"I see..." Miyako set Itachi down next to his brother, gave a sort of half-smile to Hachi, and mouthed "try using water...". She followed Miroku out of the hut, closing the door behind her. "Is something wrong?" she asked, leaning against the side of the hut, studying her older brother's face for any hint of worry.
