OOC: Since the old threat kind of died, and I keep jumping the bend with my inactivity, I decided, no more. This is my favourite RPG site, well one of my favourite, so I start one myself, getting myself in again. Anyone wishing to join is very welcome. If you want me to join yours, pm me the link. I am on route to more activity. I thank the admin for their everlasting patience!
ON: Neko crawled over the cold forest ground. She dragged herself behind a tree. From her side blood was dripping. She desperately was pushing her hand on the wound. She was panting as the blood loss made very tired. She just needed a safe place where she could heal her wound and get some rest.
Even though is was night, Neko had left a trace of blood, and because she was so weak, she was unable to cover her tracks. KunAshi would find her trail easily and then would have a go at her again. But then again, she managed to wound him too, so maybe he was behind as well. And not to mention she was a good catch for any demons that might hide in these forests.
The day before Neko encountered KunAshi. She was unable to change to her full demon form without the full moon. And there for she was no match against KunAshi, the both of them knew that. But he sword to kill her, and she couldn't escape from him.
Earlier.... Neko was walking trough the forest to find some small pray to hunt for. She loved the hunt, but it had a downside to it. Concentrating on pray could take your attention from all else around you. Which was what happened here.
Neko made a jump for a rabbit, but before she could reach it, a claw pierced trough the neck of the rabbit. Neko stopped in her tracks and was trying to see what just happened. She followed the claw to an arm, or rather an arm. Which was attached to broad shouldered body, with the largest mouth and sharpest teeth she had seen. Or maybe she had.
With a shock she whispered, "Kunashi!" She pulled back like a scared cat. Kunashi was in his full demon form. With a simple swing he swung the rabbit against a nearby tree.
"Neko," he growled softly. He looked at her with narrowed eyes and before Neko could jump out of the situation Kunashi had slapped his bloody claw to her side. Feeling the pain crush trough her body, Neko used the power of the hit to turn around and jump KunAshi. She stuck her sharp claws in his cheeks.
Kunashi tried to push her of him, but she managed to stick her right claw in his weak chest, the same place where she clawed him the last time, before she could fall. He screamed out in pain and Neko jumped off him. She put her hand on her side and tried to stumble out of the scene.
She could hear Kunashi scream something after her, but she couldn't hear him. She was too focused on the pain and the blood. And she wanted to get away from him, as far away as possible.
Now, in the darkness of the night, she hid herself under a tree. She knew Kunashi could find her here easily, but she hoped he needed some time to heal himself. Once she was under the tree she washed herself clean of the blood, before she started to lick her wound to clean it out. Her shirt was also ripped a little during the fight, so she probably had to go and find a new one. But all were troubles for later. Now she needed to heal and rest. So when she finished cleaning the wound, she curled up against the tree and fell asleep.

Kalak smiled. Finally, some action. Perhaps even a lead, if he was lucky. Time to join the fray. He floated down from the treetop where he had been hiding, and drifted over to where Neko was. "Oh, you're hurt, my child! What happened to you?" he said, in the tone of a worried parent.

Neko woke up a bit shocked by the voice. She looked a bit drowsy to the person before her. She was a bit weak and tried to asset whether or not she was able to defend herself to this person.
She rubbed her eyes out and then said, "Yea, I am resting so I can heal, but it may take some time." She leaned back and felt thirsty. She hoped the person standing next to her would be kind enough to help her. She was unable to read his mind as she was too weak at the moment. "Could you...could you perhaps get me some water from the creek I saw not far from here." She was a bit thirsty and she remembered passing a creek when she was scowling to her hiding place.
In the hopes of making a new friend and a new ally she said, "I am Neko, by the way. If you mean me no harm, then I will leave you harmless as well."

"And I am Kalak. I'll be back in just a moment." Kalak made his way towards the stream, keeping an eye out for the other demon. No need to burn any bridges, after all. Looking around for something to collect the water in, he picked up a thick branch. Kalak snapped off most of it, then his right hand shifted into a lamprey-like mouth and hollowed it out into a cup. He changed his hand back to normal, scooped up some water from the stream, and began to head back towards Neko, still keeping an eye out for visitors.

Neko accepted the drink de stranger handed her. The drink did her body and renewed her energy a bit. She leaned up and leaned agains the three she had been laying under.
She looked to the stranged. "Who might you be?" She now asked. She could now get some vibes from him and even some thoughts. "Introduce yourself stranger and I shall see if can help you with whatever if it is you are looking for." She said. Her wound was started to heal a bit.
[OOC : Sorry everyone, I had some laptop troubles, but I shouldn't be having problems now. I am looking out for a new laptop and I am using my stepmom's now. I also hear some misunderstanding had been caused by this. I didn't mean for that to happen. Apologies to Tsuzuki.]

Kalak knelt in front of her. "My name is Kalak. I'm a priest of the Old Gods, perhaps the last of my order. As to what I'm looking for. . ." Kalak paused. He wasn't sure how to tell her this. The Pnakotic Manuscripts were some of the most dangerous artifacts in the world, capable of driving their readers insane, even if they could master the things.
"There are these scrolls that are sacred to my order, artifacts of incredible power for those learned enough to read them. They can be of great benefit, but in the wrong hand they would cause unimaginable destruction." Technically, that was true. It was also true that they were meant for the wrong hands, but she didn't need to know that. "They have been lost, traded around in these lands. You wouldn't happen to know anything about tracking, would you?"

[ Kalak, the post minimum is two paragraphs. I suggest you lengthen your post and put in more actions than speech. ]

Neko was too long without a travelling partner, and she couldn't travel alone anylonger. So this was just the thing she had been waiting for. Waiting on Okami would probably take too long and she didn't even know where he was, or what his situation was. Silently she did hope that he was still alive. She nodded feeling stronger. "I am a tracker, I might be able to help you. I am also a telepath and empath, I am sure that might come in handy on your quest as well." She finally pulled herself up with help of the three. She refused any assistence she was offered. "I feel a bit better, but I need some carring for my wound, and maybe some new clothes, these don't look quite presentable." She looked a little sad at her clothes. In her side, her shirt showed the marks of KunAshi's nails. Finally she sniffed a little with her nose, wiggled her ears and tail, to make sure they still worked properly. "So, what do you say?" She asked a bit offering her services. She reached or her hand to seal the deal with a handshake. As a reassuring gesture she added, with a soft voice in his head, "I would have no need to double cross you, Kalak, the scrolls you mention have no use for me. I just live to survive and stay ahead of my ex." She smiled. [OOC: Kalak, maybe you can take a look at this, partofwhole2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forumupdates&action=display&thread=884 (I found this quite usefull)]

Kalak smiled. He was used to voices in his head, and he was somewhat glad that she hadn't pried further yet. "Glad to be working with you." he said, returning the handshake. "I have a few tricks myself." While they were shaking hands, the skin on his hand changed to fur, then scales, then tree bark, before returning to normal.
Kalak got to his feet. "I'm not much good with injuries, but the shirt I can fix. It'll be crude work, but it should hold." He closed his eyes and held out his hand towards her. Threads from where the shirt was torn stretched out a bit, and started to weave and tie themselves back together, leaving rough stitches in the cloth. "There, is that better? Hopefully there's somewhere nearby that can take care of your injuries, that method only works on cloth."
Kalak chuckled a bit. "I must say, this is much more pleasant than my last forest meeting. Last time, I ran into the most incompetent pair of assassins I had ever met."

Neko smiled and nodded, "I think this should do." She let her fingers slight over the ment work of Kalak. She looked up to him again and said, "The wound is dried up now, I have cleaned it last night, before I went to sleep, but it wouldn't hurt if someone looked at it."
She looked behind her and around her. She wiggled her ears a bit, bust there was nothing but the sound of the forests. "I have something to say to you, Kalak. There is someone after me. If we play our cards right, we will not meet this beast, this monster. Kunashi, a wolfdemon. He is out to kill me, but if we work together well, he will never find me or you." She looked him up and down to check on his reaction.

Kalak nodded. Then I suppose we'll have to keep an eye out for him. With any luck, we can avoid him completely." And if not," Kalak stared at his hand for a moment. "I have yet to meet someone here who was a significant threat to me. Hopefully, that luck will hold this time."
This kid could be useful. Good tracker, and very trusting for an empath. As long as she didn't snoop too much, they should get along just fine. And if she did. . . Well, it was best not to think such things in the presence of a telepath. Better to change the subject before she picked up on these thoughts. "We should find a town. I think there was one near here, they should be able to see to your wounds."

"Oh that is wonderful." She ignored the seemingly threatning thoughts Kalak was having. She really wasn't much of a snooper. Curiousity caught her many times, but she did tried to avoid it. Her father always said, "It's good to be curious, but never invade someone's privacy."
Her father is a wise man. She wondered what had happened to him. Since he left their village years ago, she hadn't heard anything of him.
She shook the memories of her father off her and followed Kalak in to the direction he said he had seen a village. At least she had kept her wound clean, and now that Kalak had fixed her shirt, it had stopped the bleeding a bit.
She took up a pace and asked curious to Kalak, "Where are you from, Kalak? Did you travel far?" Her questions were out of interest, but mostly out of curiousity.

A nostalgic smile flickered across Kalak's face. "Oh, yes. Very far. I come from a kingdom called Sumer, far to the west of here, and long since gone." He shook his head. Sometimes he forgot how old he really was. "One of the burdens of immortality. To outlive not just the people you knew, but the nation that gave birth to you." His voice trailed off, and he walked in silence for a few minutes.
After a short while, he broke out of his reverie. "Bah, I'm being too much of a downer. Where are you from, dear?" he asked, glancing back at Neko. His eyes almost immediately went back to scanning the forest. They should be reaching the village before long, he could see the forest starting to thin up ahead.

Neko had swiffled her tail behind her to clear out any tracks they might leave behind, while she was listening to Kalak. "Well, I was born in a village somewhere I can't remember, but the village was destroyed when I was 15 years old. I was abducted by the demon called Kunashi, he is the one that destroyed my village." She answered, then she sighed and continued, "Then I lived for a while on his castle, till..."
She stopped as she didn't want to be reminded. She looked up to the sky and said, "I think it's going to rain." Clouds were getting together and Neko shiffered a little. She hated the rain, as water on her skin or fur would surely render her powerless. Luckily she wouldn't change to her human form, that only the cresent and waxing moon could do. But still, she wasn't a fan of water or swimming, she only consumed water.

Kalak nodded. "Everyone's got history." he said after a moment's silence. This girl had been through a lot, he'd have to walk on eggshells here. After a moment, he glanced back and noticed her discomfort. Right, cats don't like water. he reminded himself. Kalak put up his hand and the air above them hardened, forming into an invisible umbrella. "There, that's better." he said.
Looking ahead, he saw the village coming into view. "Sorry, but I'm going to have to let go of our cover when we get into town. Most people tend to get spooked when I blatantly ignore all laws of the universe." he said with a chuckle. He lowered his hand, and the air above their heads returned to normal.
