She only plays tricks that won't cause the person she is playing them on harm. She is a kind soul who hates fighting, but will stand up to someone if they are insulting, or hurting, someone she cares about. She is always eager to learn new things, and also loves to play, especially in nature. She holds a special fondness in her heart for singing, which is a favorite pastime of hers. She is also very attractive, and is often told as much. She is the type of person who would become embarrassed, and thank the person who told her this.

Aoi is part of a small family. She is the only girl, and the youngest, making her relatively doted upon by her parents and older brother. Although that doesn't mean that she and her brother don't fight. No, they definitely do. They are the perfect example of a brother and sister, close, but still a thorn on each others sides. Aoi has a large extended family, although she isn't really close to any of them. Fox demons like to spread themselves out, because when too many gather in one place, humans get suspicious and send demon slayers to hunt them.
Ever since she was a young kit Aoi has learned the tricks and trade to becoming a talented fox demon. Now, at one hundred and eighty years of age, she is quite good at sneaking in and out of places where she shouldn't be, playing tricks on others, and having a very good time. She now lives on her own somewhere near a very large village, and often preys on the people of the village, none of which have even suspected a demon is behind the pranks.
