The Chatbox has been changed to help reduce the amount of spam posting. Since it's a bit different, this is to help explain how it works.
First, You need to sign up with an account. You can do so by clicking 'Set Your Name' and regestering.
You can also create a profile, so people can see your age, gender, something about you, a picture, and where you like. This is optional, but you can change this by going to chatango.com, going to your chat page, and editing your profile.
Also on here, you can change font, font size, color, and background color, bold text, underline, etc. These buttons are found right above the text box (where you type) on the right hand side. You can also make a dontation to support chatango by saving those options and clicking 'make a donation' rather than 'close'.
On Chatango, you can also get messages from people on the site. The bule bubble in the top right will turn green or yellow and and show the number of messages you have when you get them. To block people, open the message and click ignore. If you don't want random people to be able to see your profile and message you, go to Chatango.com and edit your settings. Uncheck the box that says 'Show my profile in the users directory'.
This chatbox also tells how any people are online. Click on the link on the bottom left where it says '[Number] of people here now' to see who they are.
There are also two other buttons on the bottom left. The speaker turns sound on and off, so it will or will not make sound whenever someone posts. The other is the option to send you emails any time someone posts or loggs in when you're out.
The black/grey arrow that appears in the top left of the post is the flag button, use this to report inappropriate comments.
One nice thing about this Cbox is that you don't need to refresh to see new posts-- it updates automatically every time someone posts.
If you see an 'Anon[number]' In the 'people here' listing, that means it is a guest.
If you have any other questions, message me and I'll be happy to help.
