Detailed Personality Description:
Urufu is a very calm and reserved girl. If there were only three words to describe Uru, there wouldn’t be much of a personality. Most of the time Urufu prefers to keep to herself whenever she has the chance. She’s very focused and passionate on exercise and has succeeded somewhat in using her magic capabilities in her kicks and punches.
Her art reflects her passion on how she views the world. Though halfway it is her occupation and how she keeps a stable life in the economical system, she loves to take a paint brush to a blank piece of paper. She's very enthusiastic about her work and thrives on good criticism. She always carries dozens of blank scrolls and is even enlightened enough to do work for free as long as the gifted appreciates the work.
She is always very quiet, but a good forceful punch of questions will get her to speak more then just three words a sentence. She tends to have more questions to ask then answering any directed to her. When angered, she’s becomes a darker personality and seeks to tear down anyone who attempts at causing any emotional pain to her. If not verbal, she may very well take to violence if the person doesn’t stop. But she's not in this world to cause trouble. She's very respectful to anyone unless they are proven to not deserve respect.
She has a more joking nature when able to be acquainted with someone, but it’s been a long time since she’s had such a socializing frenzy, so one shouldn’t be un-encouraged if she becomes quiet and decides to simply listen instead of speaking. She’s always interested in another’s story, being as her own tale she’s lived through already. She’s a very compassionate person for a demon and consoles those who’s lost some form of loved one.
Her more darker side is hard to describe for Uru. She's only had a bloodlust moment once, but it's only been one time she's smelled human blood so closely. She feels sadistic and disgusting for the fact she killed someone and half way ate them and drank their blood. She still isn't sure what happened between the attack, but she knows it was her fault. Perhaps that is one way her more human nature has come out. Her guilt is overpowering at times that it makes her cry, thinking of the family and what they would find on the dirt road while looking for the man...
But she doesn't feel like she should die. She still wants to make a difference. Her brushwork has become her life along with her constant training of her weapons and body. She wants her brushwork to become legendary. That is her true dream at the moment.

History
Detailed Personal History:
A village far north of Mount Maanguko was perhaps one of the most uncommon village in all of Feudal Japan. Though there is a stereotype of humans having villages and demons roam the land in simple groups, there is civil order beyond the ravenous and deranged demons one would come to be associated with. The cold air keeps most water brooks and rivers from flowing freely in this village of demons. The village, also known oddly enough as Taiga Village, gave speculation that perhaps at one time there was some form of river that flowed close to the village limit. The village has constructed houses made of solid stone to keep the cold out.
But if it weren't for the nostalgic tone of a snow covered scene to exemplify beauty in the seasons, anyone could see the fiery turmoil within. The village seemed peaceful despite its demon inhabitants, but there was certainly no such thing dwelling in what appeared to be class separation. Dog and wolf demons were the only inhabitants of this village and although they exemplified no harsh treatment to humans, they bitterly sought strife with their neighbors. The start of the feud is unknown and perhaps will always be incased in the hard stone walls that surround it to this day, but one thing was for certain... the village may very well go into civil war soon.
And yet, some of the different species sought peace with the others, but perhaps an unspoken law beckoned them to keep the line between any form of treaty to prosper and live side by side. There was signs of force if any decided to cross a line to the opposite side and the peaceful minds of the demons in the village made them afraid of the consequences thusly. But it seemed there were still brave souls in this hardened living space. A dog and wolf coincided and met under irregular circumstances involving gathering food outside the village. Perhaps this is what humans called Love At First Sight. A dog and wolf... together it seemed unnatural given the hatred of the village, but the two seemed inseparable the moment they met.
Kaji, the wolf, was entranced by this lovely dog that had become the center of his sight. Yuki, the dog, seemed just as well as entranced by the sight of such a handsome wolf before her. Although she was to be mated with another dog at her birth and had already given birth to a full dog demon girl named Tsuki, she seemed unable to draw herself away from the man that stood before her. Soon after that first meeting, the two secretly met in the night. Talking, laughing, smiling... and perhaps romancing so soon, Yuki and Kaji enjoyed the company of one another. And soon their romance blossomed into becoming mates in mere weeks. Perhaps it was the call of the forbidden fruit that beckoned them to each other.
It came that after only days of becoming mates, that Yuki discovered something that would perhaps not just put her life in jeopardy, but also the entire village for the act-she had become pregnant. Although Yuki was highly respected among the dog demons in the village, there was no way to hide her pregnancy and that would surely bring the village into civil war because of it. But Kaji assumed the villagers would understand perhaps the unison of species would bring them to peace once more.
Oh how they thought wrong...
The smell of wolf blood inside Yuki caught all the dog's attention. Six months pregnant and seemingly unable to restrain themselves from becoming enraged from it, Yuki was forced to confess that she was indeed pregnant with a wolf's child. The dogs and wolves became enraged by the news of a dog being impregnated with by a wolf. The argument blew into a full fledged fight that separated the two species even further apart.
Wolves sought the end to such an abomination of a child and quickly planned to kill the united infant at birth. Three months later, the soft cries of a new life beckoned the village to witness such an odd sight. A wolf tail with dog earls flopped about as the small infant curls close to her mother. And that is how, for all the world to see, Urufu was born.
The sight seemed to rock most of the demons inside as the newly born baby whines quietly as Yuki cradles the vulnerable infant in her arms. The infants now two year old sister, seemed intrigued by the tail and seemed to simply accept the baby as her flesh and blood. The acceptance hit hard the villagers. What were they fighting over any ways? Surely this unison of blood could make this work, no?
The inhabitants that went to see the new born baby thought that perhaps... this was for the greater good to just let this fighting end. But it seemed that not all had gotten the memo that bygones could be bygones. An arrow was suddenly shot and whizzed through the air. The arrow pierces into the target's chest, sinking deeply into her heart that would soon stop beating because of it. But the archers.... had missed their target. Instead of hitting the infant... they had struck the mother with a fatal shot. To everyone's horror, the arrow seemed to be sucking the very life of Yuki away. Tears began to be shed as Yuki's sight began to blur. She had been so close... to ending the feud. So close... for having her little Urufu accepted. And now that had all been dashed as the accused archer wailed as the villagers began to beat him to death. Her last sight was the faint 'sorry' that escaped the beaten wolf's lips as he began to bleed to death as she did.
With her last bit of strength, she offers the baby Uru to Kaji, weakly asking him to take good care of the little Urufu for her. Kaji seemed... struck with horror and shock that he couldn't move from his spot. Eyes were wide as she pressed the baby into his arms. And then just as suddenly as it had happened, Yuki seemed to just slip away as if she were going to sleep. Unable to handle such a sudden loss, Kaji pushed the baby aside on the cold hard ground as he began to wail and cry in agonizing pain for his Yuki to come back.
And it was that day that Kaji decided... to not grant his lover's last wish. He just simply had forsaken the infant, blaming perhaps half on Urufu and half on himself. The baby was abandoned by her father and the only ones who sought to rectify their wrong doing was the beaten wolf's friends. They took the baby in and raised her to perhaps ask Yuki's forgiveness upon them. They did their best despite they were all male. Yuki seemed to smile upon them as Urufu grew and matured into a young woman. But as though she seemed so finely in tune with her childhood loss, that Urufu had indeed gone into depression. Nothing seemed to bring her out of her stupor.
Learning to fight seemed to bring her just a little into reality. That was until she found the art of Buru Houka, otherwise known as blue fire, as to honor both her mother and father. Her depression deepened. Howling and singing... nothing seemed to be working to make her come back as her old happy self. But maybe her true savior was her older sister, Tsuki who had seemed to have grown with her father's love despite his unforgiving hatred to her sister. In a last ditch effort to make Uru smile again, she was offered a brush. That is how Urufu's art seemed to be born. She drew and drew and drew as her feelings depicted, painting spectacular art that expressed her sadness, loneliness and maybe a little hatred to her father. And yet she seemed to grow happy as if her painting sucked the horrible emotions from her mind. Was this perhaps her true calling?
Several years after, she saw the last of the females in the village pass on. Not fully mature in womanhood, she and her sister were the only females left in the village. Soon the entire village would die off in given years. There were threats that perhaps she and her sister wouldn't have much choice but to become breeders. The thought seemed to be refused by Urufu’s guardians. Packing the two up quickly in the night, they told the two siblings to leave the village and never return. The four men that had grown old in the years bid farewell to Urufu and Tsuki, hoping they could still have their freedom in whatever they wanted to do. Saddened but understanding of the circumstances, Tsuki and Urufu left the village and never looked back. Years later told of a harsh blizzard that wreaked havoc over the land they called home and there were even rumors of a frozen village amidst the horrible storms that never did seem to go away to this day. Crystal covered walls prevented any form of inspected to see if there were any survivors in the harsh blizzard.
Saddened by the news, Tsuki and Urufu sought comfort in each other as their paths seem to begin to part. Tsuki's want for weapon creating parted the two siblings. Urufu wanted to be a traveling artist and a weapon's master would have to be plugged in one place. Though it was a tough decision, Urufu and Tsuki parted on good terms. As a parting gift to Urufu, Tsuki sculpted a naginata with a dragon symbol to remind Urufu to remain a strong warrior. She then constructed an odd weapon, what she called a Reflector. The shield like weapon had straps to hook one's arm to hold it in place. Although unfamiliar with such an odd and unique weapon, Tsuki said with a smile, "You'll learn how to use it in due time." And Uru was well on her way with scrolls in a sac and a paintbrush in hand.
She has traveled far and long, but it didn't seem that her demon heritage was helping her in the human environment. So... with what little money she had left, she bought a blue cloak to hide her extra appendages like her ears and tail. Suddenly, she didn't seem to so unpopular and her art was selling faster then she could make it. Sadly enough, it seemed her father wasn't the only one that hated her demon origins. But she bit back the want to show herself freely.
Her fighting skills had evolved over the years of her constant training to be able to defend herself and embrace her demonic nature. She wanted to be a full fledged demon as she was born to be. So happy she was to perhaps show her demonic nature to humans and not be feared about… so ignorant was she to her dormant blood lust. One day did she cross a man and saw the moment to challenge him to a fight with her cloak on. Surely after she brawled with the man that he would see she had some human nature in her. But it went horribly wrong. Her naginata scraped his arm and the smell of human blood for the first time flowed into her nostrils. Having never experienced such a sensation, she couldn’t control herself. Her bloodlust suddenly enveloped her mind and everything seemed to just phase out of place. The next thing she knew, she had the man’s blood all over her and it seemed to all be so good. She had never been taught her demonic urges… it’s no real wonder she’s hesitant on making friends with humans much anymore.
She’s now on route to going through the mountain ranges. She can only imagine what she would find…
