Countless men gathered in the late of the night. Torches had been set-up all around, as some of the men took seats and others just stood, all gazing upon a large cage two sides was missing across from one another. The bloodlust and greed could pretty much be seen in the eyes of everyone that was there as they begin making bets on a game, already knowing who it was showing up tonight. Two large cages was brought forth and up against the openings of the first, as they latched them together. A large Oni laid in one and in the other was a spider demon. As the gates unlock for the two demons, the men that pushed the cages along with a few extras was jabbing spears at the two to force them inwards and fight. The Oni charges towards the Spider demon leaping in the room he had brining his claws down towards him. The spider though blocks the attack with four of its legs letting the other’s stab through it. It didn’t last long before the Oni freed himself and about to attack again but the spider once again counters before his attack, this time using his web spraying the Oni in the face. During this time as the Oni struggles the spider leaps removing the head of the Oni. The crowd that had been watching excitingly all cheered when seeing more blood spilled and the death of another demon. The men quickly begins stabbing the spider making it move back into it cage before it shut and locked him in. During this time they remove both cages pulling them away.
A man dressed in wealthy clothing then moves out before the rest and holds out his hands to hush the crowd. “Its time to see the fight you all waited for. Both demons are unbeatable and both are your favorites, but which one shall walk out of this fight alive. Lets bring out Gylm the unbustible.” During this time many was bringing out another cage, this time carrying a rock golem. For its cage it was all metal and they had to create special devices to help it move under his great weight. As the men prepared his cage to the main the speaker turns to the other direction. “And on this side we have Takai, the fallen angel.” The 2nd cage was being brought in. It too was made much differently then the first. But this time it was different metals. Takai also within his caged was chained. His wrist being chained together, along with the ones on his legs. His enormous black wings was also cover in chains. The pulse of static continues through them, which could be seen. Small bolts of lightning even struck down towards the ground from them. Behind this cage though was followed by another demon, that appears to be human. But most could tell and already knew, but did not care for he was the one that brought them Takai, and controlled him. Both cages was prepared and just awaited to be open.
“Alright, Now that all bidding as been completed, Lets get this fight on the road.” The speaker then begins to leave, as everyone moves up into their seat all going quiet interested in seeing the blood spill. Gylm’s door open as he needed no encouragement to get out, for he loved the blood. Takai though stood there his face empty from all emotions as the door swung open. But he did not move. The demon behind him though held out his hand as the static intensified. The bolts of lightning increases and begins striking all over the cage until Takai enters the big cage. The static dies down as the demon lowers his hand with a grin across his face. The crowd has already starting to get excited at Takai stood before the giant Gylm. Gylm took no time bringing his fist down towards the helpless Takai as he was still in chains. Yet Gylm’s fist slams hard into the ground causing a crater under it, along with kicking up dust. Once the dust clears Takai stood right outside the crater, still with the same empty expression. Gylm out of angers growls out but cannot speak as it begins to charge the best it could towards him. But Takai doesn’t move Yet waits for him to draw near. When it seem like it was to late to do anything Takai forces his arms up that was being weighed down with chains and Slices through Glym. As if it was a sword through normally flesh, Glym fell, into pieces. The screaming crowd fell dumbfounded for a moment, seeing the fight over so easily, and turning out different then how they all expected.
Takai Turns facing the other demon that has control of his shackles and still showing no emotion. Then demon though reply using more voltage, to force him back into his cage. The force of it moves him forward, but not entirely. He stops once again once use to the the pressure of the voltage. But the demon growls out to him. “Damn you Takai, if you won’t listen, I have nothing against killing you.” The demon turns both hands up towards him doing more then doubling the voltage causing Takai to collapse onto his hands and knees, as he could do nothing but try to endure the pain.

Post by Kira the Wandering Blade on Apr 10, 2009 20:32:04 GMT -7
There were many sounds and noises there that night, unnatural to the ears of the wanderer that was out. They were from no animals, but from humans, though the sounds of demons were also among them as well as their scents. All the smells mixed together to form something foul to her senses, causing Kira to wrinkle her nose slightly in disgust. Sometimes humans could just smell revolting, and at the moment it was quite annoying to her. With the smell and the loud commotion they were making it made her wonder just what was going on over there that they would gather in such a large group. Of course she stayed quite a distance away, the humans probably far too busy to really bother to see her. She had even been sure to keep downwind of them just in case any of the demons might be able to smell her. Of course she would probably had been noticeable if she had not taken such precautions because of her bluish white hair, but there was not much of a moon that night to shine down upon her and what was there was covered in clouds so she was hidden enough, at least from the human eyes anyway.
Looking closer she could see some cages in the center of the crowd, both were holding demons within them. One was an Oni while the other was a spider. After a moment both were forced from their cages and into battle with one another. It was a rather short battle, leaving the spider as the victor by the end of it. Such things really did not bother Kira so much, though it did disgust her some that two demons would be forced to fight one another, of course they probably might have fought just the same under different circumstances. It was probably more toward that humans were the cause of it that disgusted her a bit. It only took a few moments before another set of cages were brought forward, this time one carrying a rock golem and another carrying a demon that took a more human appearance with large black wings. There was another human-appearing demon that followed the cage, probably the one responsible for the former being in the cage to begin with. It really was a sad thing to watch, and she could feel some slight need to release the two from their cages if only to give them some sort of chance against their captors. But she continued watching instead.
It did not take long after that for the speaker to announce the beginning of the fight. The rock golem rushed right into the ring, but the other did not even move when his cage opened up. When he made not move to enter the large cage the demon behind him, his captor, put his hands forward, causing electricity to race around the cage and the demon, forcing him into the ring. The golem attacked first, trying to smash the other into the ground beneath them, but when the dust cleared the other was perfectly fine. It made Kira wonder just how he was caught, he seemed much stronger than his opponent and far stronger than the first two forced to fight. Watching intently, she saw the golem die in defeat, falling to pieces in front of the other. The fight had not taken that long at all, it had been even shorter than the first before it. Takai had not shown any emotion throughout the whole fight, having kept the same face throughout. Even now he held the same expression. Kira was slightly intrigued now, watching as Takai turned to his captor almost defiantly. His captor, in turn, tried to force him back in the cage the same way he used to get him out, but he seemed to fight against it. She could hear his captor speak before Takai had collapsed to the ground when his captor increased the power.
At that Kira moved forward quickly, reaching into her hair and pulling out some long needles, throwing them into the necks of the humans around. The humans fell to the ground, either paralyzed or dead depending on just where her needles landed. Humans were really nothing to her, though she was not the type to go out and kill them just because she felt like it. In truth she actually did not prefer to fight too much. Her expression had not changed, it still being quite neutral and emotionless, as she turned to Takai's captor and pulled out a sword, swinging it right at his neck as he was distracted with his captive. She did not know the exact extent of this demon's power, but it really did not matter if his captive managed to get free. It was obvious that Takai was stronger than he was able to show at the moment, and if he could manage to break free by himself or if she could release him then the demon holding him would be a goner. It was mostly that which was her goal for it must have been by some horrible misfortune that one as strong as Takai had managed to get himself into such a circumstance as the one he was in at that moment. As he dug his claws into the ground from the shock he was receiving, once again, with the pain, his feelings was nowhere to be found. Takai focuses himself and did not move. His own focusing made it where he didn’t even notice the fall of the humans. But the ones that died would later be his strength. The other demon turns moving his hands down yet the static in the chains did not die down. “I do not have time for you, unless you wish to join in these games.” He smiles as he draws out his own sword. Around the sword was covered in static same as his chains. It was this time that Takai, become aware of her. His eyes slowly shifts up towards her, as he sees her fighting. Countless thoughts flooded him thoughts that he thought wouldn’t ever come to him. ‘Is she, is she here to free him, or is she here to just kill him.’ More thoughts came to him but most none would stay long enough for words.
Oddly though against the odds of it He begins pulling himself up, refusing to be saved when he was on his hands and knees. Though even with new thoughts going through him, he refused to express them, other then to finally stand. The demon rushed her as he slams his blade against her, causing large shockwaves as it slide down it, while he moves in closer to her. About this time he pulled out a dagger with his other hand bringing it towards her throat. As the blade was swung, his sword flashed brightly meaning to blind her, and not see the dagger, so he could finish her off. The static not only caused pain but drain him of power and energy, making the chains even heavier. He begin to stagger forward as he watches the two fight. His eyes though was more focused on the girl who now was fighting the guy he could think nothing of other then killing.
His attention quickly turns over towards the humans she attacked earlier. Not only could he smell it, his gift allowed him to see emissaries begin to finally emerge around their bodies. Three bodies was now covered in them as Takai almost lost himself and give a smile, but stops as he called out towards them. “Emissaries of the afterlife, bring their souls to me so I can not only borrow their powers, but cast them into hell!” His voice was harsh obviously done after so many years of silence and torture. The one fighting Kira seem to loose himself, not only for hearing him finally speak, but speaking gibberish as he spoke out into nothingness. It was enough though to throw him off making it impossible for him to have finish her off like he wanted but he quickly pulls back together to attack again.
Almost within a few moments, a demonic aura was increasing and almost flowed out of Takai. His body still taking the abuse, he was about to what seem like a small explosion, as metal shards fly every direction. The chains around his arms and legs was broken off, severing the power that went into his wings, but he did not manage to free his wings. Takai slams his claws in where the cages went together, and ripped the locks out as he threw it from the main cage. It seemed this girl not only killed the humans to fuel him, she also distracted that monster long enough, so he could gather the souls. He leaps out of the cage and lands not far from the two. He did not know the real reason she cam here, or choose to fight him, but he knew, he would be the one to slaughter him, after so many years of torture.
The lightning demon grunts in anger, having to fight off this newcomer, as he could do nothing but watch Takai escape. He was dumbfounded nothing made sense, where he got the power, why did he call out, and why now. Before the two could finished and their blades and bodies moved far enough away from each other Takai, quickly moved almost in a blink of an eye, to now standing between the two. He said nothing just looked into his eyes with his empty eyes. The demon growled. He was unsure if he could even beat her, He knew Takai would easily kill him. Yet Takai didn’t move, The other quickly took this time swinging his blade towards his neck. His eyes only had time to have widen, his brain become aware of what was happening. During his Swing Takai slams his claws through his throat, and down his body almost grinding his body. Takai seem to be frozen in that pose for awhile after killing him. He finally had his revenge and nothing even seem real.
His muscles lightly twitch as he stands back up, and turns to face the girl. He looks directly into her eyes, as his remained empty, yet seem to hide something in the process. Takai did not know what to say nor do. He had never really dealt with someone that helped him. He found others inside with him that he tolerated, but never cared when they did die, or even to kill them if he had too. Yet here she had given him the freedom that he could only dream about.

There was no response for the demon's words, she had not care for them nor for him. Kira knew that she would not be joining these games, not if she could help it in any case. Of course she could have just not interfered with what was going on, yet somehow that just seemed wrong in itself. She was a very neutral person so she had her bouts of good and evil deeds. She supposed that this would just have been one of her good ones. The demon her sword was aimed for had managed to pull out one of his own. She had expected some sort of retaliation of course, and was not really surprised to see the static running up and down his blade. Seeing that, she was prepared for the pain that would come to her when their blades met. Of course the sword would not be the complete attack, but she always had a wide range of things ready to strike with.
As their blades struck she could feel the jolt run through her, causing her limps to twitch some. From the sleeve of her left arm another needle fell into her hand. This one was thicker than the ones she used to kill the humans and charged a bit with her demonic energy, making it stronger than usual. For a moment she was blinded, and the sound of Takai's voice went into the air. She could sense the distraction in the other demon which she fought and watched him as he jumped away from her because of it. She did not pursue an attack on him, keeping the needle carefully hidden within the sleeve of her haori. Her sword remained in a defensive position, more her style in combat rather than the offensive one she had taken before.
Her attention was caught for a moment by Takai, whose energy was building quite a bit before the chains on him shattered, sending it's pieces flying in every direction. Kira quickly put he blade in a backhanded blocking position, covering her face from the debris with her sword and arm. She could hear some ting off her sword as other pieces flew by her. She watched on as he quickly managed to break out of the cage that he was forced to fight in earlier. Now that he was free it was a very simple thing to do. It also seemed that her plan worked, though she would have not preferred to kill the demon that imprisoned Takai anyway, knowing that he would probably want that honor all to himself if he had the chance. It was the reason she had not tried to go directly for the kill, though tried to aim for a vital spot. It was a given that the demon would see her and try to defend.
Kira put her attention back to the other demon, noticing that he was also distracted by his newly released prisoner. It was within that moment that the latter appeared between the two of them, staring at his long time captor. Her expression remained the same as she watched him cut down the demon that had imprisoned him for so long, though she would probably never know the exact amount of time. Takai did not seem to be the type to just go about shouting out his past to some demon he did not really know, though she did give him his chance at his freedom. Still, it may not be enough to merit her an updated history of his past, not that she would pry much anyway. Usually her philosophy was that it was just not her business and left things like that.
The demon would not be getting back up after being hit with something like that, leaving Kira to stare at the body with a look of contempt. She did not have an appreciation of such sport as the one he was participating and forcing Takai to participate in, if she wanted to observe such a thing she could find two demons in the middle of a fight that were just willing to tear each other apart, though it really was nothing special or anything like that. Thing like that had never really seemed to interest her anyway. It hardly took a second before her blue eyes met red ones. She could see it in his face that he was hiding something, perhaps a thought that was crossing his mind, but his face was as masked as hers and she could read no further into it.
After a moment of examination Kira put both the sword and the needle back into their proper places, though her hands were easily within reach of other hidden weapons she carried around just in case. She could not say for sure exactly what his abilities were, only keeping her eyes on him and trying to examine him a bit. His dark hair was a large contrast to her white hair, as his eyes were to hers. At the moment she was debating with herself whether to speak or to leave, perhaps she would do both. "You are free now," she said, her voice gentle but empty, "it would be advisable to leave this place.." After her words she walked a bit off to the side, away from the bodies that littered the ground and from the man she had just helped release. It was unsure to her whether he would try to stop her or not, for whatever reason, but she did not like staying in one place for too long. [/blockquote]

He watches her for a moment, unable to say anything. Yet when she said the words your free, his eyes widen, for the first time. He could do nothing but watch as the girl who freed him, turns and walks from him. As she seem to be getting out of sight Takai’s right arm extended as if wanting to catch her, he didn’t have the words, he didn’t have the thoughts. But he knew he wanted her to stop. His voice finally broke free, in the dark, cold harsh voice. His hands dropping to his sides. “S-stay… stay…with me.” The words may not of been what he wanted, and may of sounded more then want was intended, but it was one of the first times he actually spoke other then just to himself.
He begins walking to her, following her path. His hands reaching back taking the chain and begins to struggle un tangling them from off his wings. He gave a slight growl as he was having troubles and could remove the blasted things. He just gave up once her reaches her, and his attention was no fully back on her. He cleared his throat and thought to himself for a moment. “I am Takai, a Shinigami.” His voice still rash but, was seeming to get better, as he spoke a little. “Y-your name is?” He stood there, seeming curious, and possible thankful, but his face never wavered.
Almost in the time he spoke two her, two Shinidama begins to draw near. Both moving up behind him and then grew still, as if waiting on him. It was obvious he knew they was there but seem not to care. The two both was carrying lost souls that they found.

Kira had walked a bit of a ways from Takai by the time she finally heard his voice call out to her. She paused a moment, her feet stopping as if debating whether she should acquiesce to his request. It was something of a strange request, or perhaps it was just the way it was worded. Of course the strange wording was understandable, based upon his unstable voice and the fact that his captor had never seemed to have heard him speak before. It was probable that Takai had never really used his voice in the past too much which also meant that he probably had no one to talk to, or at least no one worth while.
It was when she began to hear him following her that she turned to look back at him. Kira watched, a bit curiously, as he struggled with the chains still attached to his wings as he walked, though he seemed to give up on them as soon as he closed in on her. When he spoke once more his voice was still unstable, but it seemed to be improving the more he used it. She was a bit curious about the shinigami bit, wondering just how exactly that demon managed to get his hands on one of them. Personally she had never seen one before Takai.
Kira allowed her eyes to once more wander to the chains still attached to his wings before allowing herself to move toward him, circling a bit until she could reach the chains herself. It took only a moment to completely untangle his wings and to allow the chain to drop to the ground. After that deed was done she once more stepped away from him and looked him over once more, as if to make sure that everything else seemed to be fine, before finally moving back in front of him. She took a bit of a glance to the other two forms that had come up behind him prior, but she appeared to take no heed of them.
"My name is Kira, a dog demon," she spoke, her voice still quiet and gentle. Though demons were sometimes known for destruction and havoc, Kira would often carry a sort of calming aura about her, almost as if her own calmness seemed to seep from her to the space around her, mixing with her demon energy. That was perhaps one of the more noticeable qualities about her, aside from her expressionless face and bluish silvery hair. [/blockquote]

Takai watches her, caught off guard when she moves around him and begins to remove the chains. He slightly gasped at how much she was helping her, but said nothing as he closes his eyes. As the chains fall and she move though his wings spread out wildly as he slightly jerked as pain struck him, from not being able too for so long. Then soon moves back when she stood in front of him, his wings swoops around and around them both.
His eyes open as he looks back towards her. “I must…umm…. Thank you?” He looks at her, completely unsure if that was the words he wanted. He had just heard the words from the humans doing business with one another. “That cursed demon found me as just a baby, and took me in, and made me fight in these damn fights all my life.” He lightly growls but soon was back as his face grew empty again, and he looked at her.
He knew nothing to say, he didn’t even know why he told her, that much. He mostly just wanted her to stay. He couldn’t even think of why himself, let alone explain it. He stops though and looks down at his arms as he held them up, burns laid where they cuffs and chains as burned into his arms. Yet he couldn’t feel it, he just could feel the freedom of them gone, as he looks back directly into her eyes.

It looked painful a bit when he spread out his wings, like they had not been able to move his whole life until just now. Kira did not like that thought though, believing in having in some sort of freedom. She could not imagine being locked away, only able to even move so much. Even the thought was painful to her, but it was probably worse in her mind because of how much she enjoyed just walking around, even if it was to nowhere specifically. She enjoyed her freedom and it just felt too good to have lost. Perhaps that was why she felt that she should help him they way she had. It just was not right to watch him struggling like that.
When he spoke next his words sounded completely unsure, as if he had never used them before and perhaps was not even sure if he had used them right. His next words caused some surprise though, she had not expected them. "I had wondered how they had managed to catch you.." It was a sad story, which really led to more questions that she would be unlikely to voice. Why was he all alone to begin with, left by himself only to be caught by such an evil demon? That then led her to wonder just how old Takai was, how long he was actually within the possession of his captor.
He was silent for a moment, now examining his arms and their injuries from his captivity. Kira looked over his wounds with him, trying to figure how serious they were. She was unsure as to how fast a Shinigami would heal, not being one herself, but the least they should do with those was clean them up some. While looking at them she had a wonder if it was painful or anything, they seemed like they might at least sting a bit, but did he really feel them? It really did not seem like it from how he was looking, but he was still hard to read.
"There's a river nearby," she said looking somewhere behind her, "it should be a small distance in that direction, near the treeline." Her eyes traveled in the direction of that river, as if trying to pinpoint the exact location in her memory. A moment later Kira turned her attention back to Takai. "We should probably find the river and get you cleaned up a bit.. That demon probably didn't allow you do that much often if at all.." She also did not want to be out in the open like they were, being that they were both still within the field, though a short distance from the broken cages and dead humans. [/blockquote]

Takai wings finally open from around them and moves back behind him. “I must perform my duty first… It will be my first time doing it but after 20 years of listening to that monster talk, I think I will be able to handle it.” Before them, the ground begin to crack and split causing a large crater and hole. A red light seem to come out if it. It was an odd sight. As he did the two Shinidama moves before him giving him the souls. “These two, are that of children, he let the two Shinidama take them back. Find a soulpiper and give these souls too.”
About that time, The spirits now could be seen of those she actually killed appear before him. Without saying anything he held out his hands as hooked chains moves out from the pit, wrapping around their arms and legs. They begins to scream which was not that of normal noises. It was silent but yet you could hear them. As it quickly pulls the three in the whole flashed red. And when the light was gone so was the whole like it never happen.
Takai begins making his way back to her. He approaches her as he looks back to her. He was curious if she was actually going with him, or if he was to go himself. He was going to ask her but couldn’t find the words. He looked back into her eyes, before his eyes seem to widen, and he step beside her looking in the direction she said the river was, refusing to look back at her for that time being.
“I will go to bathe now, if you wish to come.” He steps forward and begins to walk. Even being trap for so long he knew the sound of running water well. Once he got so far out the sound of the river begin to draw him near. Yet not only did he cross a small river it was a small lake that the river pass through. Over it had the waterfall crashing down into it, and the other end the river continued.

Twenty years was how long he was with that demon. To her it did not seem so very long, but at the same time being under those conditions must have made everyday seem longer than it was. It probably felt like being trapped for two hundred years or so, but she really could never be able to say just how long it felt like, she had never experienced such. As the ground started to crack Kira took a small step back, watching intently as to what was happening. She had never witnessed such a thing, though perhaps she should have expected it to happen. She knew something would after he spoke, but she had not really expected the ground to split open like it had.
The first two souls were children, and the last ones were those he deemed worthy of that pit of red light, probably hell itself. When the light flashed brightly she had to narrow her eyes a bit until the light was gone, leaving no trace that it, nor the hole, had ever been there at all. It was a curious thing to watch, intriguing really. Kira allowed her eyes to remain where the hole had been for a moment longer, somewhat wondering just how the ground seemed like it had not split open, almost seemingly like of it's own accord. After a moment her blue eyes returned to Takai's form as he was making his way back to her.
"I will accompany you for now," she said in thought before adding more, "I know that some appreciate privacy while they bathe, so perhaps it is best if I wait a small distance away until you finish.." She followed him as he began to walk where she knew the water was. It was not long before the river was seen and even the lake that she knew had been nearby as well, though she had not realized just how close to the lake they had been. Even so, it was nice to see it once more.
As Takai approached the water Kira stopped and looked around some, mostly looking for some good cover and a place to sit. The treeline was not far off from the lake, and she knew there was a nice clearing just past those first few trees. "Do you require any food?" She did not look at him as she spoke, still focusing onto that spot in the trees where she was sure that nice clearing was. If need be she could start a fire there for them to sit by, though a fire might attract unwanted attention. Sniffing the air she could smell nothing in the immediate area, thus she deemed it safe for now. [/blockquote]

He said nothing when they was walking to it, but he didn’t understand the privacy. It was something he never had before, but he didn’t question it. “food would be great” He said nothing else as he looks down to his armor and begins to try to take it off, but everything was done so long ago it made it tight. He finally manages to free himself and drops the armors. Each piece falling onto the ground, his hands reach up lightly onto his head. Lightly rubbing the two horns that rounds to the back of his head. He then finishes removing the armor and clothing.
He didn’t even try to cover himself, never growing to understand the shame in it. He slowly begins to move down towards the lake as he steps into the lake. The water was cold, and the feeling of the water on him was refreshing yet weird. He begin walking again down into the water until it had reached his chest.
He begins to do his best to bathe into the water. It wasn’t the first time, it was rare but he did get too when he would always get covered in blood. He was in the water for over half an hour as his wings spread out again, more loosely now they had water, an blood flow back into them. He even begin to clean his face and hair. Once he was done, he begin to move back out of the water. Once emerging he once again didn’t cover himself making his way towards the clothing he took off. It was all he really had, but he lift it up and puts his pants back on first then grabbed his chest armor. He went to put it on before stopping, since it was way too small for him, and he barely even got it off him to begin with. He throw it back onto the ground as he just begin to walk back towards Kira in what he had on.
He seen that she was sitting down. He moves beside her taking a seat onto the ground beside her. He didn’t look at her, but looked into the fire that she had made while he bathe. But after a few moments he glances back over at her. He couldn’t help but admire her, in his own way. The only other female demons he seen was being forced into another type of slavery with the humans, and not only did they never able to get close to, or speak to him. None really had the desire to, with who, and how he was. Yet here this demon, comes from nowhere and helped him escape, and now was actually keeping him company. He was only use to the crowded cages and listening of the mindless demons as they wanted out, to fight, or to be free.

Kira nodded to his request for food, starting to wonder just what she should get and if she needed to cook it. As he started to remove his clothes and armor she wandered off to the point in the forest she had been staring at before, walking until she found the small clearing she had been thinking of just prior. Searching around for a moment, she picked up plenty of wood to last, putting some in a small pit in the ground near the center of the clearing. Also within the pit she put in some kindling to help the fire start, some bark from the trees, leaves, and dried grass that she found. Digging into one of her pockets she pulled some rocks, one of which was a bit flat and struck the other against it, making sparks to light the fire.
She had not been blessed with elemental powers of any sort, but she was use to having to do such things whenever she required a fire, though it was not often really. Usually Kira did not need to keep warm, unless it was really cold as she really did not like the cold all that much. As for cooking there were plenty of things she could just eat without actually roasting it or anything, though sometimes she did if she felt like it or already had a fire going. It was her opinion that if she already had something then to use it for all it was worth.
After that was done she went to the part of the river that was the closest, still a bit from the lake that Takai was using, and looked within the water. A normal human would have a hard time even breaching the surface with their vision, but Kira could make out the fish swimming in the shallows. With a clawed hand she quickly swiped at the water, scooping out two fish. She waited a moment for the fish to return before repeating the process two more times. After that she took the fish and returned to the fire, placing them in a grassy spot and sitting down, leaning against a tree with one leg pulled up to her chest and the other extended out.
It was only a short while after she sat down that Takai came within the clearing, sitting next to her. Kira barely glanced at him, more watching the fire than anything else. It was hot enough to be good for cooking by now, but would probably need more wood soon to keep it that way. "There's fish near you," she said, not taking her eyes from the flames, "you can choose to cook it or eat it as it is. I'm not really sure which way you prefer." When she finished speaking her blue gaze turned to look at him, finding that he had been staring at her just before. He seemed a lot cleaner now, though he left some of his armor behind. It had occurred to her that it seemed a bit small on him, but it was his armor to do with what he liked. [/blockquote]

Takai quickly took his eyes off her as he looks down towards the two fish. “I never have eaten it, either way. Let alone I cannot cook.” He picks the fish up and looks at it oddly as he pokes it with his claw. He had never had really seen a fish before and it looked odd to him. He looks more closely as he begins to sniff at the fish. He was unsure if it be something he could eat like that or not but he didn’t want to ask her to do anything more for him, let alone ruin the food she had brought him.
His eyes shift towards the fire. As he sits the fish. As he begins to think to himself. “Why….. Why did you help me in the first place, then why are you staying with me and helping me?” He never looks away from then fire as he awaits her answer. He didn’t even know what made him finally asked, as no thoughts came before hand. He just found himself asking.
As the time of him asking his wings spread and out and curved inward. One side the wing just blocked the sight of the area away from the campsite, the other, moved around her. In doing so the heat of the fire slightly increase over time, as he kept a little in. Which would either warm her, or may make her hot.

Kira had to wonder just what he had eaten in the past. Fish was a pretty common food source, unless you were not near water that is. "I've seen humans eat fish raw so it should be fine to eat, at least the meaty part anyway," she said, almost as if to reassure him it was fine to eat. He did not seem to want to ask for help and she would refrain from giving it if he did not want it. She had that sort of attitude, not really wanting to give anyone support or help is she did not feel like it or they did not wish it.
The question took a moment to think about as she had been half pondering the answer herself for a while, giving all the possible reasons why. "I cannot imagine being trapped like that, unable to go anywhere you pleased," she said, starting slowly, "even as a child I had a habit of wandering off somewhere." Or at least that was the reason she could come up with, it had almost seemed more of instinctual when she had helped him to begin with, it was strange in a way. "As for staying with you now.. You asked me to.." And he seemed to really need it in her opinion, at least to get back on his feet anyway.
He had moved his wings before she had answered, but it was now that she was feeling the warmth of the fire most as the heat built up. It was a bit soothing, and was even making her a bit sleepy. Being a demon always on the move she did not sleep all that often and when she did it was only lightly so as to be able to sense approaching danger. Of course that was what happened when she traveled alone, though she never really traveled with anyone before. Her face relaxed some, her eyes drooping a bit with warmth and sleep. [/blockquote]

Takai took the fish into his hands as he listen to most of her answers. She mention, everything he wished to do as a child. He begins cutting into the fish with the claw to dig into it to reach its meat. He removes the fins and the outer skin along with the head, mostly cause it just looked so strange. Thinking how it looks like some of the mindless demons he was forced to fight. That thought quickly left him as he begins to eat the piece of fish. He held it up and rips parts off with his fangs to eat it. It was clearly a clean habit of eating, but it was fast and effective. It make it obvious that the captives must had to fight and eat quickly. Which he was treated until he got older, and would kill the others over the food, and begin the chains and the worse treatment.
He finally finishes the first fish off and begins to clean it up like he did the last preparing it. He listen to her final comment which seem not what he meant. He knew he asked her, but… he didn’t know why, why would she decide to stay with him. She seemed so strong willed, helpful, without ever expressing it. He could only wonder if something bad happen to her. But for her to stay with him, a demon whose whole life was nothing but a trapped animal having to fight for survival. He had nothing going for him.
He looks down forgetting the fish as he begins to eat it. He rips through its flesh with his fangs and quickly finishes it. He slowly turns his attention back onto her as he see her as she begin to appear sleep. “I will watch over tonight, if you wish to sleep.” He had always be stuck with that demon, but he was trained in his younger life by being thrown into the wilderness, as the demon hired others to find and kill him. Thinking if Takai fell, even as a child he wasn’t worth his time. “Would you like for me to set up a spot for you to sleep.” He knew she could, but after her helping him so much, he just wished he could do something to return the favor to her.
