*Whine*
Yuki twitched and turned, breathing a sigh. Bending down he let the furry creature lay his paw on his knee. He had wanted to leave the shaggy golden dog, but found that he just couldn't. He had tried for the third time, and failed. It seemed that he just couldn't resist an animal, especially one that seemed to be without a home. And if it did have a home, this dog's owner was a negligent one, for the animal looked half starved, lonely, and afraid.
"My friend, I cannot take you with me..." he murmured to the animal comfortingly, eliciting another mournful whine. "I wish that I could, but my life comes upon much to much danger for an animal such as yourself to be around."
*Whine*
Yuki grimaced and the dog licked his chin. Just great, now he was growing even more attached to the dog. What was he supposed to do? He really couldn't afford to take it with him--it would just get hurt. But he couldn't just leave it here either. Perhaps he could search for its owner. Yes, that would work. Standing up he smiled down at the golden dog.
"Alright, let us find your master, shall we?" With that thought in mind he went up to the nearest person in the village he could find, not paying much attention to who it was. "My apologies for bothering you, but...might you possibly know whom this dog belongs to?" he questioned, gesturing down at the dog now sitting next to him, wagging it's tail in a friendly manner.

A pair of dark blue eyes looked over at the young man, and the dog whined playfully. She smiled and knealed down her hand out-stretched as the dog walked forward and sniffed her hand before licking it, a female voice giggled. " Awh, well, I'm sorry but the Dog doesn't belong to me, and I just got here sadly...so I'm not sure.." The female stood and looked at the young man with her dark wise blue eyes, she smiled softly and stood. " I'll help you if you want, oh and my name is Michiko." The woman grinned brightly as the dog barked up at her. She looked down and patted the dogs head. She looked up at the man and let her eyes travel over him, taking in every detail about him as she smiled and nodded. He didn't seem that bad, there was no bad aura, he didn't seem to have a evil profile about him... But, she had learned before, looks can be decieving...[/ul]

"Well my friend, I suppose that my hopes were far too high to think that the first person we found would know to whom you belong," Yukio said, speaking softly to the dog. The dog looked up at him, panting happily. It didn't look at all worried about finding its owner. Not that he was really surprised, after seeing his condition.
Smiling lightly he turned his attention back to the lady. He was glad to see that she seemed to be quite an animal lover, as well as quite beautiful. Both extremely good things in his opinion--an opinion he knew would get him slapped should he speak it out loud to the wrong person.
"Thank you very much for your offer, Michiko-sama. I would very much appreciate your assistance." Bowing he added, "I am Honda Yukio at your service, my lady." He raised from the bow. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

Michiko giggled, the dog seemed to not worry to much, and she could tell why. His condition was below average, she dug into her pouch and pulled out some bread, she knealed again and watched as she dog devoured it but was extremely careful to not bite the woman. She smiled and patted the dog's head. "Thank you very much for your offer, Michiko-sama. I would very much appreciate your assistance." Michiko nodded and smiled brightly as she stood to her feet, " I'd enjoy it very much, its not a problem.." "I am Honda Yukio at your service, my lady." Michiko grinned and nodded, " You do not have to call me a lady Honda-sama, I'm just a person." "It is a pleasure to meet you."Michiko nodded, " A pleasure to meet you as well." She smiled, the wind blowing her blonde locks gently.[/ul]

Yuki blinked. This was the first time someone had asked him to be less formal than the custom. Normally they asked him to be more formal when he got out of line with someone that he had only just met. Even though he had been taught good manners when he was young, he had moved further and further away from them as he aged, until he finally no longer paid much attention to them. After all, there was little point in using manners unless the threat of death loomed over him.
"As you wish, Michiko-sama," he replied with a smile. "Hmm..." He looked around the village and sighed. It was a large one, and finding the owner of the dog would be a definite challenge...but then, perhaps it would be best to not even bother. "Do you think that finding the owner would really be the right decision?" he asked suddenly. "The person must not be a very good caretaker, if this little one's appearance is any clue."

" Thank you Honda-san." She smiled and looked around, this was a fairly huge village, she looked at the other animals, some were fairly huge and looked meaner than this nice golden puppy. She looked at the dog again and rubbed behind his ears, "Hmm..." She looked up at him and blinked, "Do you think that finding the owner would really be the right decision?" She looked down at the dog and opened her mouth to say something when he took the words right out of her mouth. "The person must not be a very good caretaker, if this little one's appearance is any clue."Michiko chuckled and looked at him, " Probably best, but we have to give the poor boy a name.." She looked down at the dog and smiled softly. " Chiko?" The dog barked happily and jumped on her, knocking the woman down, she laughed as the dog, or Chiko, liked her on her face. " Heehehe! Down Chiko!" Obediently the dog got off and sat down, wagging his tail happily at his new owner.[/ul]

Yukio smiled at the display of affection that the dog --no, Chiko-- displayed. It was heartwarming to say the least. "He really seems to be fond of you, even though he has only just met you."
The former demon slayer continued to smile warmly before bending down to pet the dog on his head. The dog woofed happily and wagged his tail a bit harder. Looking up from the dog Yuki grinned. "Dogs are said to have an extremely good judge of character though, so it is not surprising that he likes you so quickly."
The compliment was veiled, though he hoped not too much so. It had been some time since he had given a compliment to a woman from the bottom of his heart, so he hoped that he at least got it right.

She smiled at that, lifting him off of her she patted his head and shook her blonde locks free of any dirt or leaves, standing now she brushed herself off and looked at him, " Yeah, he seems to like his name too." "Dogs are said to have an extremely good judge of character though, so it is not surprising that he likes you so quickly." She turned a light pink, he was extremely nice to her, that was for sure. She smiled and giggled, " Well your one to talk, his been following you around for some time now hasn't he?" She giggled lightly and grinned, showing off her pearly white teeth, all of them amazingly human for her beauty as such. She looked around and sighed, " Well, I have enough money to rent a hut for some time{XD Sounds like our time no? xD}, would you like to join me? Or do you have somewhere to go?" She chuckled.[/ul]

Yukio laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't sure why the dog had been following him around, although he did have a pretty good idea. The dog had been able to tell that he was an animal lover and wouldn't just ignore it, like so many others had probably done. The dog had seen in him something, probably a heart that couldn't resist helping an animal, especially a dog.
"Well, I have a feeling he followed me because he knew I wouldn't just leave him alone... " He grinned. "Either that or he was sniffing after the loaf of bread I have in my pack," he said, a wry smile forming on his face. "That's the more likely one, to be sure."
Yuki's smile faded at her question and his eyes darkened. What was she asking exactly? Was she asking him to live with her? That seemed a bit far fetched, even to him, someone who had seen many things throughout his travels. Although the prospect itself did seem quite pleasing. But alas, if that were what she offered, he could not accept. His life was traveling now, not staying in one place. The most he had stayed in one place for the last year had been for three days, and even then he had been injured.
It wasn't entirely by choice though, his traveling. He had to keep moving, or the demon that was after him would eventually catch up. And he wasn't sure he was yet strong enough to defeat it. Forcing a small smile back onto his face he shook his head. "Although I do not have somewhere definite to go, Michiko-sama, I do not think it would be appropriate of me to accept your offer."

" The dog barked up at her and startled a woman, Michiko looked down at Chiko and wagged her finger, Chiko sat down and lowered his head. She giggled lightly. " Well, if nothing else, let me at least give you something to eat for your travels eh?" She looked back up at Honda and smiled brightly.[/ul]

Now Yuki was decidedly not the type of man who would turn down the invitation of a beautiful lady. Hell, he wouldn't even turn down the invitation of a not so beautiful lady. So you can see why it was hard for him to choose whether he should accept the lady's offer or not. On one hand, he knew he should get moving again soon, before he no longer wanted to leave. On the other, Michiko was indeed quite beautiful, and she was kindly making this offer from the bottom of her heart. What sort of man would refuse that?
An evil one, he decided. Either that or one in a hurry. One who couldn't stay in one place for too long. One who didn't want to cause trouble for someone. One like...him. Still though, he was horrible at saying no. And... he was hungry, to be truthful. He hadn't eaten since the day before, too busy to find the time. He was tired to, not having slept very well the night before. It seems that fate has been decided for me, he thought wryly.
Smiling his gentle smile Yukio spoke. "I believe I have an idea in mind as well. Would you care to come with me to the local inn? I would gladly like to repay you for your kindness in taking in our little friend here. Would a meal and a night at the inn suffice? You may search for better accommodations tomorrow, if you wish it. I am afraid I cannot offer much more...but perhaps that will do."
{OOC: And he just means a night, like, he'll pay for her room. No lewd suggestions... xDD}

{OOC: You think of me as a naughty girl don't you? XD;;; I know Yuna-chan} " She patted the dogs head and turned around, her long blonde hair swaying from side to side before finally resting on her back. She walked forward towards a hut before pulling the draped-like curtain away, and walked inside to see a bag on the bed. She smiled a little and picked up the straps and throwing over her shoulder, her baby blue eyes brightening as she walked back outside and looked over to Honda, she picked up her pace and smiled as the Chiko barked happily at her. She moved her blonde hair away from her face and smiled. " Ready!"[/ul]
