Ok, i know i started an rp in the oc about the beginning, but i want to make this in the actual InuYasha rp board. The story how everything started with Izayoi and Inu no Taisho.
This thread will be at first just InuTaisho and me, and then as it goes on be more and more characters. Of course Sesshomaru can show up in between seeing he was there already when they met. Now i'm not certain if this is allowed. But......if others want to be a part in it, we could use some people rping Takemaru, Myoga and Totosai. That way we don't have to rp them ourself and adds more variety.
It was a beautiful springday, the wind whisperd trough the trees like a soft loverssong. Sakura petals drifted trough the air like gentle rose snow.
A young girl with hair as black as a ravens shimmering wings, and dressed in several layers of soft and colorful silk sat upon a patch of grass. It seemed quiet but for the occassional shouts or laughter of some of the guards and soldiers that protected the palace. Servants scurried trough the hallways going about their daily chores.
The young girls attention however was centerd about a little ball of grey fur before her. A little kitten given to her by her mother, who's cat just recently had a new litter of kittens.
The young woman, who's name was Izayoi, had always adored them and finally was given one all to herself.
She laughed watching the little cat play and every now and then to escape, but quickly was scopped up by the gentle hands of the young hime again.
A sudden commotion of raised voices distracted Izayoi, making her look around to see what was happening. In one of the open doorways, two servants seemed to have an argument.
Izayoi listend for a few moments, but seeing it was nothing serious decided not to interfere and turned back to her kitten......only to find the grasspatch before her empty.
"Oh no"
Izayoi whisperd softly and rose quickly to her feet, her eyes scanning the garden for any sign of the little runaway.
From the corner of her eyes the young hime saw something grey and fuzzy disappear trough a hole in th palace wall, making her gasp. The kitten had escaped the palace, and uncertain what to do, Izayoi stood for a moment and ponderd. Her pearlwhite teeth chewed softly on her buttomlip while she wonderd if she should get help.
But deciding otherwise, Izayoi moved over to the wall and seeing the hole was large enough, squeezed tough it to fo9llow the kitten.
Listing the front of her kimono slightly, she quickly ran along the path to the tall grass. Her frantic gaze searching for any movement, any sign of the kitten.
How can a little guy like that, be so fast?
Izayoi wonderd, not able to see even a sign. Her steps slowly took her to the forrest nearby, her heart filled with worry she had lost the kitten for good.
A soft rustling sound nearby drew her attention and quickly Izayoi headed towards it, certain it was the little runaway. |

Hmm... I suppose this is fine, but I only want the people who hold those cannons you mentioned to Rp, and NO OC's. Got that everyone?

OOC: um... i know this breaks the rule you just said, but shouldn't this be in the random RP board if it's based in the past and is just telling a story, not in the actualy RP?

Well, it does have significance to the plot, so I'll allow it out of OOC. But tis not my thread, so whatever you two think is best^^

OOC: i'm gonna go ahead and guess that this is before they even met, so Inu no Taishou probably won't like humans much, yet.
Inu no Taishou had been lying up against a tree, resting in a clearing in a forest right next to a human castle. He had two swords hung at his waist, in his belt, and another on his back, under his cowl. He was trying to decide whether or not to attack the castle, and take this land for the Inu tribe. He had already conquered most, if not all, he had lost track, of the western lands and these humans were in the way of his advancement towards the dragon's territory.
It was when he was just about to decide to attack, and call his army, that the great demon heard something in the bushes nearby. He looked over towards the bush, his hand reaching for his fang, tesseiga, when a small kitten crawled out of it. Inu no Taishou stood up and lifted it by the back of its neck. "What are you doing here?" He asked it, as if that it would answer him. "You're not a demon. I can tell that easi-" He stopped in mid sentence, sensing something else nearby. He didn't reach for his sword, not smelling a demon, though. He watched as a young woman stepped out from the trees, in the same direction the kitten had come from.

While Izayoi was searching for her kitten any stories she had ever been told about demons and to be careful had slipped her mind. Perhaps also because she had never actualy come face to face with a demon, seeing she had led a very shelterd and protected life.
So stepping out and seeing the tall male with her kitten it took the young maiden a moment to realize that this was not a human that stood before her.
"You have found him"
Izayoi exclaimed happily and stepped closer to him without any fear. There seemed something different about him and the young girl looked at him closer. Despite the silverywhite hair he still seemed young, which was odd. However her soft eyes soon enough noticed the pointy ears and the markings which adorned his cheeks. He was...
"You are a Youkai"
The young hime just seemed to blurt out. There was a bit of fear, but most of all...her gaze moved to the kitten the youkai still held up, and suddenly her eyes went wide.
"You are not going to eat him, are you?"
Izayoi cried out in fear for the little kitten and reached out to the small squirming creature, any fear for herself erased.

Inu no Taishou looked at the young woman(what is a hime anyways?) in confusion. She first didn't notice he wasn't human, then blurted out he was a youkai, and then asked if he was going to eat the kitten, which he didn't plan on anyways.
"Um... no," He said as he handed her the kitten. "That scrawny thing would hardly make for a meal. And let me tell you something, a youkai is nothing compared to a daiyoukai like myself." He said, pride showing in his voice just a little bit. "Why don't you run? Normally, humans would flee at the sight of a demon." He questioned her, perplexed that she cared more for this cat than her own life. Now, Inu no Taishou had completely forgotten about his plans on attacking the castle and expanding his territory.

((ooc: Hime is japanese for princess. So basicly if we addressed Izayoi as Princess Izayoi, anyone japanese would call her Izayoi hime))
Relief washed trough the young hime when the tall demon handed the small kitten to her. Gently she cradled the tiny creature who now was tired from it's adventure and with the sound of loud purring closed it's eyes, to soon fall asleep.
This brought a soft smile to Izayoi's ruby lips and when the demon spoke to her again, she lifted her gaze back to him.
She could hear the pride in his voice and what she had suspected already from his fine clothing was confirmed when he said he was a daiyoukai.
The young maiden had been raised to be polite and respectful, and to her it did not matter that he was not a human. Therefore Izayoi bowed respectfuly.
"I am Izayoi hime. And i thank you for returning the kitten to me"
Her voice was soft when she spoke and a smile came to her face at his question. He was right after all, most humans would run at the sight of a demon. However.....
"I do not judge someone who is different and assume automaticly that they are no more then wild beasts intend on killing. Just as there are bad humans, i believe that there must also be good youkai's. I respect others for who they are, and i don't judge a race by the actions of a few. Besides...."
Izayoi tilted her head a litle to the side.
"If you meant me harm, i'm certain you had killed me by now"
But even so her voice was soft, there still was a small hint of fear and worry none the less. |

Inu no Taishou was utterly confused now, but had some respect for this human now. Even though most youkai, only a very few being excluded, despised humans and attacked them on site, she didn't believe this was true for all of them. Obviously, she wasn't like other humans, or, atleast any he'd run into. The great demon did not, however, bow back. He could not bring himself to bow to a human, no matter who it was.
"You don't need to thank me for anything." Inu no Taishou said to the hime. "It just showed up here and i thought it might've been a spie for the cats." After speaking, he mentally scolded himself for talking to a human. What was wrong with him? Talking to a human was unacceptable for demons. But, still, there was something about this 'Izayoi' that made him stay there.
"Did you say Izayoi hime?" Inu no Taishou said with emphasis on hime. "You live in that castle over there?" He asked.

Izayoi remained silent as it seemed the youkailord was in deep thought. Her own thoughts seemed to wander as she gazed down at the tiny kitten in her arms. It slept as peacefuly as if nothing bad happend.
Turning her gaze back to the demonlord, Izayoi wonderd what people would think if they saw her, standing here and conserving with a youkai. However she did not really have to wonder.
If anyone was to see her, her reputation would be ruined beyond repair and she would be frowned upon.
But for some reason, Izayoi always disliked the way people were judged and shunned. With a sigh the young hime rememberd a young servantgirl at the palace who had gotten involved with a demon and became pregnant. She had been dismissed by her parents, while the girls own family turned away from the girl.
But Izayoi's gentle heart would not allow such a thing, and giving the young woman a letter and some money, along with the description where to go, she had sent the girl to someone she knew would take her in.
Tears filled Izayoi's eyes when she rememberd the girls gratitude for her help.
Soon enough the voice of the demonlord brought her out of her memories andshe raised her gaze to him. Her softbrown eyes seemed to still shimmer a bit from the unshed tears.
Izayoi nodded at his question.
"Hai, that is my home. My father is the lord of that palace" |

Inu no Taishou saw that the woman was crying, but did not wonder why. He figured it was none of his business. "Your father owns that castle? Didn't he ever teach you to fear youkai?" He didn't really expect a response to his question. It just popped out his mouth. The demon scolded himself mentally again for talking. A gentle breeze began to blow, bringing with it the smells from the castle and nearby lands. The breeze made Inu no Taishou's cowl and silver hair blow with it.(wow. that's real threatening :  But, the winds also brough with them another scent. The scent of guards approaching. The demon could faintly hear what they were saying, thanks to his heightened senses due to his demonic blood. "I think she went this way" One guard could be heard saying, as they headed towards where Inu no Taishou and Izayoi stood talking. |

Izayoi agreed softly with the demon that stood before her, while she still cradled the sleeping kitten.
A smile suddenly came to her face and her softbrown eyes for some reason seemed to hold a glint of mischief.
"But have you always listend to every single word told to you by your parents?"
Suddenly realizing what she had said, The young himes cheeks blossomed in a delicate pink color. This had been rather forward of her and she knew that.
"I'm sorry"
Izayoi apologized softly.
"I'm just saying.....I mean.....just because my father believes something it does not have to be always true."
The young woman spoke softly.
"Humans are known to fear that which they do not understand. And what they fear they hate and seek to destroy or shun" |

Inu no Taishou gave a short laugh at the hime's question. "You don't understand youkai very well, do you? Parents aren't exactly very loving for my kind." He said, forgetting about the approaching guards. "Few are lucky to even know their parents for long."He said, trying to make the point that humans have it much easier than youkai.
"But, if i had been an Oni, instead, you would have been dead by now." Inu no Taishou said truthfully. An Oni would kill anything on sight for food. Just as the demon finished his sentence, he picked up the scent of the guards, getting a lot closer than they had been.
What a fool he was, Inu no Taishou thought to himself. While he had been talking, humans were getting closer and closer to him. He had lost his element of surprise and couldn't take these lands for his own anymore. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, Sou'unga was cursing him for passing up the chance for it to relish in devouring the flesh of men.

"You are right, i don't. You are the first demon i have ever met"
The young hime replied with full honestly as she looked at the demonlord before her. Her eyes held nothing but innocent sincerity. However sadness mingled now in their brown depth at his words.
"I am sorry. I know some have it more hard than others. But i did not know that it is this way for demons. I always believed that parents would see a child as the most precious gift given and cherish it........i know i would"
Izayoi added the last words very softly, knowing those words were spoken from her heart, for she loved children dearly.
Noticing the change in his expression, the young woman's eyes filled with questions.
"Is something wrong?"
The moment those words left her lips, Izayoi as well finally heard the guards approaching and her eyes widend.
"You must leave. They will attack you when they see you"
Oddly enough her very first thought was the demon's safety. Not her reputation that would be ruined when seen conversing with a youkai or the trouble she would be in once reaching her home. No...her first thought was that the guards would attack first and ask questions later the moment they would see a demon near her. |
