Back to the Western Lands

[kardowin]

The sun was high over head it heated the ground. It seemed to be getting hotter by the hour. At this rate the marshes would probably dry up, but in the distance, a bulk rain cloud was starting to cover the land as a light rain release it from the heat wave. If one had saw the rain fall, they would of sighed in relief, thankful that the rain had come.

[Okami]

Okami usually didn't mind the heat, but it was scorching today. He and Neko had left the forest so there would be less chance of being ambushed again. there was no telling of what may lay ahead. But he felt they must keep moving in order to avoid confrontation with those whom perused them. He looked to Neko to see how she faired in this weather.

[Neko]

Neko walked besides Okami. It was pretty warm and hot. She was ok with it as long as it was in normal propotion, this heat was making her a bit sleepy. She was also thirtsy. She may hated the water over her, but she could have it on her tongue and in to her throat. And specially now. She leaned a little on Okami. She was used to travelling, but she could never get used to the heat.

[Okami]

Okami allowed Neko to lean on him. ''Are you OK Neko?'' he asked concerned. "Would you like me to carry you?" He then waited for her reply and looked to the sky. Grey storm clouds was heading their way. It looked promising, but he knew if Neko got wet then she wouldn't be able to use her powers.

[Neko]

Neko licked her dry lips. She looked up and saw the clouds. "I am thirsty, but not that thirsty!" She looked to Okami. "Well, if it is not too much trouble, you can carry me." For as long as they have been travelling together she felt she could put her pride away. She also did her best not to read his thoughts all the time. But she caught herself to many times doing it. It seems Okami never spoke out his thoughts that much. She wondered if it was because he was still unsecure about being with her. She hopes she could change that very soon.

[kardowin]

Riding the clouds in her true form, Kardowin guided the clouds over the western lands. Almost instantly it took the course she had been leading it. And it scattered the rain about the hot lands. Seeing it do so Kardowin took the time to head down to the ground. She hardly seen both half demons, but had noticed when she had touched down.

Fluffing out her fur she then looked at them puzzled. "What are you two doing with in the western lands?" She had realized the by now other travelers hadn't noticed that the had ventured in to the lands. Probably from all the resent heat that they and been receiving. So that was one of the reasons she had fetched the storm.

[Okami]

Neko was soo cute that Okami couldn't help but to smile. " Alright then," he faced his back towards her, "go ahead and hop on." then quickly in mind 'Neko, hold on.' He straighten up and turned to the new scent on the air. He was actually expecting to see it far off, but then he jumped at the sight of a huge dog/dragon demon right up by them. he quickly drew his the priestess blade and stood between the demon and Neko. It barked "What are you two doing with in the western lands?" Okami dought Neko could understand what the demon had said, then he awnsered and demanded, "We are travelers whom goes where ever we please. Who are you and what are your intentions with us!? "

[kardowin]

Kardowin blinked, well that type of reaction was to be expected, her in her form like this. "Hold on a second just let me tranform..."

A light blue light surrounded her as she started the transformation, soon enough she was back in her human form. "Ah thats much better. I didn't mean to sound agresive, I can't relay control my tone in my true form."

[Neko]

Neko saw the demon too. She looked at the demon and Okami talk. Then she couldn't bare the energy anymore and she fainted while turning into her full humanbody. She was powerless. Probably because of the moon, or the rain, or a combination of those two.

[kardowin]

"Is she okay?" She scanned the surrounding area." You two shouldn't stay here. The other demons might take advantage of the both of you."

[Okami]

"Neko!" Okami quickly sheathed his sword and came closer to her. She was human, so that ment that it was her time of weakness and the rain probably didn't help at all. Okami gathered her up in his arms. "Neko, I'm sorry." He lightly whispered to her. Right now he realy wished that the demon hadn't shown up at all. With Neko in his arms Okami stood and turned to the demon mistress."Show me where it will be safe for us."

[kardowin]

She held out one thunder crystal shard. within a moment it had glowed light yellow as a portal appeared up. "This way." she looked at him then noticed some demons had jumped out of there hiding places. "I'll cover your back, don't worried about me." She knew that he wouldn't complain about this, besides he had the girl to worried about.

[Okami]

Okami saw that she pulled out a yellow crystal and summoned up a portal. "This way." Then some demons had jumped out of their hiding places. "I'll cover your back, don't worried about me." She said. Okami wasn't about to argue at this point but he felt he will get to it. so he took the chance and went through. There was no telling what was going to be on the other side.
The next thing Okami knew he and Neko were in what looked like a courtyard of a fortress.

[Neko]

Weak Neko tried to open her eyes. "Okami?" She whispered with the strength she had. Vaguely she saw her surroundings and she felt Okami's strong arms holding her. She also felt tired, thirsty and hungry.

[Okami]

"Okami?" He heard Neko whispered. He looked at her face, she seemed pale. "Neko." He awnsered, then asked in concern "Are you all right?"
