The blade is the perfect weapon...superior in all respects to other forms. It does not misfire, it does not use other items to do it's killing for it--it's perfect, balanced, and is not troubled by matters of morality. Always strong, always sharp--staying that way for a long time even under averse conditions. The deep symbolic quality of it was part of the reason it was Elske Doden's favored weapon.
Elske stood looking out at the ocean, her feet planted firmly on top of the fine sand, her left arm stretched out to the side, palm facing down. Her right foot faced forward, the heel of it aligning perfectly with the side of her left heel--which was a step behind the other foot, perpendicular to how her body faced. Grasped in her right hand was her sword...her...dao as the westerners had come to call it.
She stood in the same position for several minutes, not even blinking. Then, quickly she shifted, bringing her dao forward, and shifting the position of her feet, so the she now stood with both hands clasped around the sword--now in front of her, her left foot now forward and parallel with the rest of her body, and her right foot trailing. She moved with the speed of the howling wind--the sand not hampering her movements in the slightest.
For nearly an hour she continued like this...sometimes throwing up the routine a bit by taking a five minute sequence and continually shifting positions, moving the sword and her body so fast that if you had blinked you would have missed a whole position.
Practicing with others was always a valuable experience. Each had the opportunity to learn from the others, even if they thought that there was no way they could learn more. How another would react to your attack is difficult for even the most talented of people to guess, and as thus, the opportunity to be exposed to it is valuable.
However, there are times when practicing by oneself if better. The peace and solitude, and the chance to mull over thoughts and replay evens, the chance at introspection, can lead to great knowledge of the world around...and finding one's center, and balance.

Without stopping her movements, Elske glanced over the new arrival, her eyes just as sharp as her blade. She had been so caught up with her movements that she hadn't even noticed that another demon had approached. She looked the girl up and down, trying to decide what to maker of her. She was obviously a dog demon, and she didn't smell as though she was a full demon--so she was a half, then.
That of course was no concern to her--blood discrimination between full and half demons had always annoyed her to no end. Stopping, she turned so that she could fully face the inu-yokai. "Thank you, but it is nothing special."
The only reason that I can even do all of that is because I have practiced my entire life. She did not say this however, deciding to keep it in her thoughts--at least until she knew what this girl's intentions were.

"it's better than some people i've seen trying to fight" she said laughing a bit, "InuSkaki, you" she asked her. Her ears twitched as she hearded two demon fighting about a mile away.

"Elske Doden," she stated simply, pushing some loose hair behind her ear so to remove it from her face.
She was glad that the 'Doden' name was not known in these parts, for she did not want to have to discuss why the Ram Demon General was away from her village. She did not even have a reason, other than to get away from prying eyes for awhile--and she doubted that an excuse like that would do her any good.
She stared down intently at her dao, the light flickering off of the silver blade, making it obvious as to how sharp the weapon really was. Returning the blade to the sheath at her hip, she moved her golden eyes back to the inu-yokai.
"What brings you to these parts? It is not often that inu-yokai frequent this area."
[OOC: Don't worry about it. My writers block will probably kick in any time now.]

"I'm looking for someone." She told her. InuSkaki was looking for her brother Inuyasha, since she was kidnapped after all she never had meet him and was wanting to for some time now. Or she would be happy to find her father InuTaishou but she had heard many things about her other brother Sesshomaru and really didn't want to meet him.

There was obviously something that this girl--InuShaki was not telling her. However, there was much that Elske had not told the inu-yokai, so there was no point in bringing up hidden secrets. She had never been one for small talk anyway, so she didn't feel the need to start that particular art now.
However, after being a General for so long, she was used to helping people in need, and this girl seemed to fit that definition perfectly. Also, this might be the perfect excuse to truly take a leave of absence from her homeland--or so she hoped, anyway.
"Oh? Perhaps I could be of some assistance in your search."

"Inuyasha or InuTaishou" She said simply. She could tell that Elske could tell that she was keeping something from her. Which she was, she was inuyasha's sister not exactly the 1st thing she tells a person.

Elske Doden quirked a finely arched eyebrow. So this girl was looking for InuTaisho... That certainly made this more interesting. She had been meaning to pay the Inu General a visit, if only to discuss relations between their territories.
For so long she had believed him dead, and that his son Sesshomaru was taking care of the Inu lands in his stead. She had avoided having to deal with the dogs because of that--not having a particular fondness for the cold inu-yokai. She had been glad to hear that InuTaisho was revived, if only so that she knew that the Inu lands were in good hands once more.
When she finally spoke she did so warily, knowing that one false word could reveal who she was.
"Well... I can help you find InuTaisho without any trouble. I am afraid, however, that I do not know of any Inuyasha."

"ok where is InuTaisho then" she asked. There was something she was not telling her. Something big, but InuSkaki found it best not to press the matter. The wind was blowing hard and some of her sliver hair had fallen in InuSkaki's face, she pushed it back and waited for her to tell her where her long lost father was.

"Do you wish for me to take you to him?"
Not being the best at giving directions, Elske didn't want InuShaki to get lost. She told the inu-yokai so, resting her hands on her hips as she rocked back on her heels. She wasn't exactly sure if the girl would want to travel with her, but at least they weren't from opposing tribes, so there was a chance. A slim one, but a chance all the same.
Elske wondered briefly who this girl was. There was something about her, and the fact that she didn't seem to know the way to the Inu palace was strange. All dog demons that she had met over the years knew where that palace was, so it was suspicious that this one did not know. She supposed it was possible that the girl simply had never been there before, but that seemed unlikely. However, it was still an option, whether she doubted the likeliness of it or not.

"yes please" she told her "maybe i will actually see my long lost father after all this time." she said thinking out loud. She didnt mean to say that and when she remember what she had said she quickly put a hand on her mouth

So that was who this girl was--a surprising occurrence to be sure. Of course Elske had heard vague rumors that the Inu Demon General had a mysterious daughter that he had never seen, but they had never been confirmed. She supposed, from what this girl just said, that they now were.
"Do not be ashamed of your birth right. There is no need to hide it."
The moment they met with InuTaisho things would change though. There would be new rumors to circulate across the lands--probably ones still involving InuTaisho's daughter. But Elske would be her reputation that the rumors would now question her true birth. There would undoubtedly be people--especially inu yokai--that believed that InuShaki was falsifying information about her heritage.
The dogs would certainly be in for a lot of work with her appearance, that she was certain of. "Alright, come with me." With that she began to walk down the beach without so much as signaling the inu yokai to follow her.

IunSkaki fallowed her, suprised most people say she is lieing what she tells them who her father is. She has learned to block those people out. But maybe it was a good thing that Elske belive the truth. "thanks for not saying i am lieing like most people" she told her

So she had been right then. Elske knew that people believed--and would believe that InuShaki was lying about her heritage. It was only natural, the way the world worked. It was horrible, but that was just the way it was. There was nothing that anyone could do about it.
"There is no reason to make me believe that you would lie," she commented softly, slowing down enough so that it would be easier for the inu to walk along with her. There was no need to hurry to the inu lands after all, and arrive there tired from doing so.
Breathing a sigh she flicked her golden eyes over to the girl again. "I do know what it is like to be spoken of. I myself have an important father." She questioned her sanity as a thought popped into her head, and before she knew it, she was speaking again.
"Do you know of the Demon Generals?"
