Cu, the current God of Love, waited impatiently on top of a mountain ridge.
'Sigh' "I know who called me here but, i know not why. I do wish they would show themselves soon because i grow ever so bored."
His crimson eyes raked over the scenery, the cold wind blowing past and rustling his red hair.
"Not much to look at, but not so bad either i suppose."

The clouds that drifted like mountains in the distance were clearly seen, every nook and cranny visible by the way the sun hit it. It glowed pastel hues of pink and yellow and lavender, going on in a neverending mountain range. Below those clouds, one could tell it was probably raining, storming, but the view was just breath-taking. If you turned a bit to the right, the sun glowed bright orange, coloring the skies with more colors, blue, pink, yellow, orange, red, purple... If you turned one hundred and eighty degrees from the clouds, you'd see the sky a few shades lighter then navy blue, and stars would dot the sky. Above it all would be the bright white sliver of the crescent moon.
The calm was interrupted as a brown haired woman with emerald eyes was shoved up the path onto the ridge by another being who had black hair and amber eyes. "Come on, Sakura!"
Syeira yelled, and finally managed to get the miko on the ridge. With a giggle, the half dog half wind demon jumped off the cliff's edge, sprouting wings and diving down. Sakura looked after her, glaring. She smoothed out her kimono, which was dyed a deep violet, with white and pink cherry blossoms decorating the edges. A bow was slung over her shoulder, and at her belt were a quiverfull of arrows. She crossed her arms, and turned to Cu. "...I'm Sakura... Hi?"
She said shortly. What was she supposed to say? 'Hi, I'm Sakura, and my friends set me up!'? No way. |

The Crimson God of Love turned around to look at her. Which included a full body scan of her brown hair, emerald eyes, slim figure, and pert breasts. He raised an eyebrow then caught her eyes.
"I am Cu, The current God of Love, and one who shares a soul with the Guardian Angel Prince, Kye. Now that the formalities are out of the way, could you, miss Sakura, kindly explain why we are here?"

Sakura sighed. She knew she'd have to explain sooner or later. "Umm, yes, about that. My friends were insane enough to set me up because they were sick of me matchmaking them all..."
She blushed slightly, but smiled proudly. She loved tormenting her friends. It was fun; especially to see their reactions. |

Cu laughed out loud.
"A Matchmaker.......getting set up. That's priceless. But....are you sure it's wise to get to know me?"

She shrugged, putting on a skeptical face. "What can I say, I had it coming."
She laughed, and it faded to a gentle smile. "I think it's wise to get to know as many people as you can... Despite their flaws."
She replied, tilting her head to the side.

He smirked, looking at her inquisitively for a moment, before taking a seat on the ground.
With a wave of his hand a blanket and a small picnic lunch appeared before them. He took a sandwich for himself.
"Feel free."

Sakura smiled, and sat down next to him. She daintily took an apricot from the food displayed, and bit into it delicately. She didn't exactly know what to ask, and she remained silent, watching the sunset. "It's gorgeous, isn't it?"
She asked, smiling slightly. |

Cu raised an eyebrow at her inquiry.
"The sunset? I've never noticed such things."
He turned around on a whim so he could see it clearly.
"Red....orange.....yellow..........even a faint bit of purple. ......I'll admit it is something."

She smiled faintly. "Life amounts to so much more if true beauty is recognized."
She said, reciting one of her wise sayings. She had many, and sometimes her villagers even came to her for advice. |
