Yuna breathed a sigh as she lowered herself into the hot water of the hot spring. She didn't even know why she kept trying to use her powers. If they weren't going to work, they weren't going to work. She doubted that coming to a hot spring that was said to have healing properties would do any good. She looked over at Asuma who was swimming around the large pool of water, laughing as he chased a small ball.
She smiled a little, feeling her heart warm. It was still strange; despite having been a mother before, she hadn't felt love for that boy. She had cared for him naturally, but something had just been wrong about the entire thing. This felt right to her though; natural. She raised a hand out of the water, staring at her palm. Concentrating her power to the center of her palm, she watched as it flickered pale blue for a few seconds before the light dissipated. Well, her powers were returning. The problem was they were not returning fast enough.
She sighed again as she pulled herself out of the water and pulled on her garments. Despite how much she knew Asuma wanted to rest, and how much she knew he deserved a rest, she also knew that it was too dangerous to stay in one place for too long.
"Asuma, it is time to go."
Her son reluctantly obeyed, letting her help him get into his toga. He didn't want to leave, but he knew not to argue with his mother. All of a sudden he felt a strong aura approaching, just like last time.
"Mother, someone is coming."
She paled, pulling him closer to her. With her powers still not at full strength she had almost no chance of protecting him from anyone who would want to hurt him.

Yuki sat in a patch of grass and looked up at Tsuzuki with her big, dark eyes-- the ultimate puppy pout. She could see how much being on this mountain strained her mistress-- Tsuzuki just looked miserable.
This damned barrier... And it's not even that warm out... Tsuzuki could almost feel her power being sucked away. Her head throbbed, and she felt tired, lethargic-- all thanks to the holy mountain. Why did I even come this way in the first place? Still, walking through was still faster than going all the way around Mt. Hakurei, as long as she didn't stray too far in.
Tsuzuki flopped down on a large, smooth rock with a sigh. "Almost there Yuki..." In the distance, she could hear the faint sound water, then of voices. So there weren't the only ones here. "Come on Yukiko, lets go see who else here" She giggled and gave one of her trademark smirks. Sweet? no. Disturbing? yes.
Yuki rose obediently and followed at Tsuzuki's heels. The closer they got the more she could make out the scents. People. Steam. Tsuzuki wasn't going to be happy.....

Atreyu overlooked the scene from above, on the top of a small cliff. She was hunched, her dark violet eyes flicking back and forth between the two groups -travelers coming in from the east, and a mother and spawn bathing in the healing hot spring....She had been circling this mountain for some time now, debating on whether she should go up or not, wondering if there was anything of value, people in need of her services...A few days later, and she was there, hiding in a cave, watching, waiting.
A noise pulled Atreyu out of her reverie. It was voices, from below. Either these people weren't very good at keeping quiet, or she had just focused long enough so that her sharp ears had just picked up their voices. Slowly, but surely, Atreyu climbed down the cliff, moving stealthily into some bushes. She watched as the boy in the hot spring perked up at his mother as she finished tugging on his toga. Something about travelers, and Atreyu listened even more carefully, her eyes flicking to the right as the travelers she had watched from above stepped into the clearing.
The was most definitely going to be interesting...

The priestess watched carefully, waiting for whoever it was to show themselves. When no one did, she sighed. Maybe Asuma had been mistaken; he was only eight after all. And he had only just started learning how to use his powers. Maybe he had made a mistake. Somehow, she didn't think that he did though. There was just something... off. She wasn't quite sure what, nor did she want to know.
"Asuma... do you still sense them?" she asked softly, her voice a dangerous whisper that made her son shiver.
"Yes, closer."
Wonderful, she thought bitterly. If the company was friendly they were safe. If not... well, Yuna would think of something to do if it came to that. And so she waited, one hand on her son's back, the other on the hilt of a sword.

As Tsuzuki neared the springs, she could hear the voices again... She could almost make out what they were saying. But she was momentarily distracted by something, another presence, maybe? She glanced up to the cliffs above her, but there was nothing... No, this other entity was a bit closer than that. Hmph. It's not important And she continued walking. Zuki didn't feel much like wasting energy over such a trivial matter-- it could just be that the holy aura of the mountain was confusing her. "Yuki, If I ever suggest coming this way again, bite me. Please." She still felt ill, lethargic, and it got worse the farther she went.

Cross walks a dirt path following Timcampy as it seems to be sensing Naraku's presence as Cross is tired walking with a chain and a coffin on his back he sighs.
"Timcampy are you sure Naraku is here?"
Timcampy flies back to Cross and bounces as it flies back guiding Cross sighing and feeling his stomach growl Cross thinks to himself he could use some nice booze and women by his side. Looking up to see Timcampy bounce it must mean he found Naraku.
"Finally alright time to do this mono amono"
Cross grabs his gun and cocks it as looks through the bushes to see a woman and a child as he sighs. And looks at Timcampy.
"I thought you said this is where Naraku is?"
Timcampy opens it's mouth wide and shows images of the woman, the child with Naraku Cross looks at the child and smirks.
"Ahhh so thats Naraku's child and mate heh he got good taste alright Timcampy lets say hello"
Walking out the bushes Cross looks at the woman and child with his coffin and drops it standing as leans on the coffin looking at the two.
"well hello there the name is Cross an i must say for a woman to be the mother of Naraku's child you are gorgeous"

ughh....this wretched barrier...it sickens me... Thought Bankotsu.
"Well well well, why is there so many people here. I wonder if Naraku could still be here. I have a score to settle with him for just 'using' me to TRY and kill his enemies" Bankotsu said in a sort of mumble.
Bankotsu continued walking until he saw a woman and a child near a spring in Mt.Hakurei.
"Hello Miss. Are you a demon? It explains why you look so weak. it seems this barrier is weakening you."
Hmm...lucky me, a child and a woman to kill...maybe i should wait a little bit longer to make sure there is nobody here to try and protect her...

Well, it could be worse. That was the only thing that kept Yuna from walking over to the nearest tree and banging her head into it. The demon was correct with his assumption, although she had a feeling that she didn't want him to know that. The human was, from the few brief glances that she gave him, a killer. Her luck was getting worse and worse.
She couldn't help but wonder if perhaps she would do better simply staying in a cave somewhere and never coming out. Or maybe she should just end her miserable life. She mentally cursed herself. She couldn't think such things. She loved Asuma, and she couldn't bear to leave him alone. And even Naraku... as much as she hated to admit it to herself, there were some feelings there as well.
This really was getting ridiculous though. Perhaps she should simply let Naraku train their son by himself so that neither would have to put up with her pathetic weaknesses any longer. Breathing a sigh she placed an indifferent expression on her face as her pale eyes landed on the human. "I am no demon. The barrier does not affect me. Do not presume however, that you may kill me."
Her eyes then slid to the demon and she blinked. She could do nothing if he was searching for Naraku, but if he was searching for an easy kill, well... he'd be in for a surprise. She would never go down easily; even in her current state. "I thank you, but if you are looking for Naraku I am afraid that I will not be of much assistance. I have not seen him in some time."

Ughh! Only a mere human...not much of a fight would happen if i tried killing her. Bankotsu thought.
"If you are no demon, than tell me, why do you look weakened? Are you impure, have you done wicked things in your life, or are you lying to me."
If she is a demon, maybe shes half, i dont really know.

"I have my ways" she told him, "You not threatening anyone, yea right" she said it was obvious that she didn't belive him. "Who's the kid and women" she asked Banktosu.

"Good question...i was only walking around Mt.Hakurei and i seen this woman and her child. I assumed they were demons because they looked weakened as Inu-Yasha did when we faught here...when he killed me."
Bankotsu turned at the woman and her child.
"And who exactly ARE you." He asked with a weird look on his face.

She was tempted to ignore him, she really was. She felt no need to tell him who she was, nor anything else about her, or her son. But there was something about the way that he spoke that brought out an anger within her that she hadn't felt in a long while. Folding her arms over her chest she closed her eyes for a few seconds. When she opened them she looked at him wearily.
"I am no demon. I am a priestess, if you would like to give me a title, though I need none." Drawing on her power reserves that she had hoped to save for an emergency, she let a few purified sparks dance across her robe. It was really for show, but if a demon were to touch any of the sparks. She almost smirked, but managed to restrain herself. If a demon did touch any of them though, they'd certainly be in for more pain then they would like to experience.
"It is no business of yours who I am. Nor the business of your friend." She narrowed her eyes as they flashed dangerously, seeming to darken. "It is also none of your concern as to why my power does not show."

"That child...he reminds me of Naraku...." Bankotsu said calmly.
"And you're sure you dont have any hints on where i can find Naraku, it seems you know might know him. Maybe more 'know him' than i might think."
"By the way, priestess, your spiritual power wasnt too strong. Seeing as if those sparks were...not so big...they didnt look powerful. Why isnt your spiritual power strong."
